I'm Japanese and almost 50. I've been watching volleyball since I was a kid, but I have never seen men's Japan team being this strong and full of talents on the same court at the same time before! So exciting!!

im 29.. my first time watching japanese mens team was in world cup 2015.. to compare with 2019 WC rosters, there’s huge gap difference in abilities were noticed.. and now 2022 VNL, there’s that big gap were made from 2019.. make me wonder how was team japan played volleyball during 2000-2015 period..watch it, & they’re not even close to 2018 japan when they started to add more younger players with talent to the squad..
its a revolution for the team.. its weird that they even kept shimizu in the squad until last year with Miyaura were the closest candidate to replace him while nishida practically took the first 6 opposite hitter position from him in 2019..

They are the generation that grew up watching the "Haikyuu" manga and anime.
They probably differed from other generations in the number of opportunities they had to experience and share the fun and enjoyment of volleyball.
Even if their parents or siblings are not involved in volleyball, they choose to play volleyball.
They choose to play volleyball not because they are reluctant to play baseball or soccer, but because they want to play volleyball and be active in the sport.
Ishikawa has improved his game a lot 🔥, he’s also a big threat in the Italian league. Happy to see japan 🇯🇵 playing like this
it's crazy that he just keeps getting better when he's already basically the best player on the team. he earned and keeps earning that captain title.

Japan is coming in hot going into the Quarter Finals. I just love their bounce-back spirit. The 3rd and 4th set is truly nerve-wrecking. Their defense-to-offense system is a weapon for their matches ahead. As expected of the World's #7 Japan (Men's Division). Congratulations Ryujin Nippon 🎉
Japan is back at 4th spot on VNL Standings after beating Canada (3-1). It was a great match. Canada made some great plays as well. Sekita's wise decision to utilize middle blockers once again to go for a quick is fantastic. Otsuka and Nishida did great today as well. Congratulations Japan. Keep being brave souls. ✨

I’m a very proud Canadian but I love watching the Japanese - Men’s & Women’s - team play. They make impossible pickup possible lol. It’s so exciting watching them.
Canada's setter needs to so much improve not all worthy sets and why too low ur teammates are tall use thier hieghts

Japon es un super equipazo. Defienden muchisimo, en la red muchas veces tocan el remate del rival y eso ayuda a su defensa. La mayoria de sus ataques van 3 o 4 a fintar para el remate, los remates rapidos x el centro son punto seguro la mayoria de las veces, un equipo completo en defensa y ataque..

長年思っていることだけど，日本とカナダのバレーって実はレベルやスタイルが似ているのかなーという気がする。
毎回対戦してみないとどちらが勝つかわからないし（去年のVNLはカナダの圧勝），試合中も第1セットであったような長いラリーが結構頻発しているイメージがある。
ハイライトだけ見てるとセッターかなって思いました(というかセッティングがスパイカーとズレてる)

カナダとの対戦は39勝24敗と大きく勝ち越していますが、ネーションズリーグは0勝4敗と相性があまりよろしくないので、3セット目取られた時はまた、今年もやらかしそうで心配でしたが、3ー1の初勝利おめでとうございます！次は昨年ストレート勝ちできたドイツ戦ですが、フランスやブラジルやアメリカに1セット取っているので、勢いに乗せられると苦戦することは避けられないですが、なんとか頑張ってほしいですね！

No where in the world is like Japan. The stadium is full of spectators, but everyone is so polite and respectful. Unlike other host countries (Turkiye in particular), they boo the guest teams if they compete against their home team.
