The Cedros 4K is a beast among 4K's. Next would be the Blue Azores 4K. That place is nice but spotty. If nothing hits within the first hour you should try elsewhere (been going there since i was 8 when there was no trail & i've seen a surfer break his leg slipping on those rocks before some improvements were made). Beware that slick red algae, way slippier than the green on those reef flats. I haven't had much luck with Whopper Ploppers for papi'o there. But it does drive cudas crazy, even on flat water at high noon. Should've tried Little Maks further down, usually paps there just on grubs on the flats before the pier. When the sardine schools are in so are the predators.
Hey there, I'm heading to Oahu tomorrow. 1st time there and plan on bringing some gear. I'm already set up with 20lb test and travel jigs n such from Mexico a few months ago. Any advice and suggestions would be awesome. Thanks
Good morning nick! I’m here at oahu! Love it here! It is beautiful! I’m right by the Waikiki pier. Question would it be okay for me to fish this area in your video? How do I get there nick?
Cherry spot. Usually get schools of Akule that swim into that little boat harbor and Omilu would chase them in. Try whipping out the flats on the across from there on low tide. Probably get Oio and Papios.
Wish I could have run into you while you were here in Hawaii. I watch all the bay area fishing You Tubers. You guys are great. Hope to run into one of you guys in the future.
thanks for sharing bro , always great content , you know Saltywaters Hawaii is a great channel from the Islands , not sure if your on the same Island , but would be an awesome collab ....
Nick, you should try and reach out to Nick Moris, Real Adventures Hawaii. For sure he will hook you up with the fish. Also, if you want to do town fishing early evening or early morning, there are a few spots in Honolulu metro area we can show you.
Hey Nick, if you feel like trying something different, do a collab with Kimi Werner (champion freedive spearfisher). I believe she's a North Shore resident and a fellow TH-camr. Beat Taku to the task.
Nick is an incredible fisherman and knows California waters but why would Kimmi collab with a 12k sub channel when she’s then Hawaii expert and has a huge circle in Hawaii and has her own show on Netflix now. Come on be real. If anything she would look much more upward. But she’s not.
@@michael22414 Because she's a kind person and believes in Ohana of all kinds. Doesn't have to be a full on participation in a collab, could be helpful advice in an interview. Taking this a bit too serious, aren't we?
Brah ... your retrieve is WAAAAY too fast for even papio (baby GT) .... You have to channel "the mana" Bay Area boy! Aumakua can sense your vibe. The best bait is humility.
No way, if that's Hawaii I would expect more fishes and even some kinds that we don't always see from CA. What the heck, 😆 you must be joking. Hawaii should always have something.
Like everyone says. Most areas is over fished here I used to like going to this spot but it get crowed at times. Just need to have the right bait/ lures & most times luck. It's a nice spot. There is fish, just need some luck.
Did you need a fishing license?
No you don't!
where is this at?

Are there any fishing guides in Oahu? I'd like to go fishing there on my trip.

What rod is that? Length?
Rockaway HD MH. I'd have to double check the length but I think it's 9'6 or 10ft
How long are you here for? Would you do a meet and greet? And I miss watching you catch n cook videos 💕
Hey! Thanks I appreciate that. I filmed these last week! I'm back in CA now but I'll try to do one next time

Hi sir where is this spot? I wanna try and fish here…nice video
Hi where is this place i just want to try fish here tank u
Your on Oahu!!!! For how long???!
I'm back now sorry!
Nice video Nick. How were the protocols to get into Hawaii?
Pretty strict! But HI has the 2nd least amount of C19 cases right now and I think it's due to the safe travel protocols.
If you want to catch a trevalle you need to hit the rocky shoreline
Braddah I’m out here too! Waikiki!
To this day I'm still trying to find where this is at
it the ww2 nanatorium, just off waikiki beach and sans souci beach
Yess sah 👍🏻🤙🏽
I heard u guys did good the last night, I’ve should have went, next time 🤙🏽
@@watah_murky2043 You didn't miss much
You might have more luck from Diamond head lighthouse to the natatorium, that section is open for fishing this year. Watch out for the homeless tho.
I tried that already 😈 It just opened up when I was out there

I used his theme song in my video lolol I watch his videos
@@NickFish007 Forgot you have family here and you know all the spots. Great that you can visit family here in Hawaii.

In my dreams!

I don't agree but thanks for your input! And for watching!
My take from this is that the whopper plopper doesn’t work in Hawaii.
Check out my Hawaii boat videos
that may have been the most pointless youtube video of all time

It's tough fishing out there, alot of fishermen + women. But so rewarding
