MAHALOS BRADDAH!! been fishing there a few years now. Thanks to you n the fishing community we can continue to do what we love 🎣 I appreciate the back story about it🤙🏽
Eric Kevin Z Hahaha. Right?! I used to walk through that tunnel to the opposite side. Buggah felt like ice water hahaha. Thank you so much for sharing. Love those memories
In the 70's I fished the L dock in Pearl City base housing area. I dug up the sponges in the water and got the worms from their tubes. That was my palani bait. Your video makes me want to be there right now. Sure do miss it! Way to go man....I'm a fan!
Nice to see the people behind fishing spots. People that take time to take care the place place a few pole holders. Thank you for keeping this spot open never fished there but used to pass by there when I used to go running on the path. Good words of wisdom lettum go lettum grow and pick up your trash. Most important tool in my tackle box..... a trash bag
Bra you are the coolest uncle. Thanks for letting the small palani go. Subscribed for life my bradda🤙🎣 looking forward to seeing you hit 10k subscribers
Good work gett'n it reopenned! brings back a lot of memories from the early 60's. The goal was to land the papio and L-dock on the peninsula and Ford Island for the omaka run. We believed there was a sub line below the waters at L-dock loaded with lost lead weights, lol. What a Blast way back when
I appreciate your video and the respect you show for the fishery. I respect a man who appreciates the simple things in life. I am flying in from Kansas on the 24th of August 2022. I would like to meet up with someone and get the local experience if you are available.
Arnold Kaneshiro Yes!!! The good old days. Miss that. I’ve been still fishing there from time to time and still no Awa like it used to have. It’s now a rare site to see. Times surely changed. Stay safe buddy. Hope to see you there one day soon.
Nathan Magno Smelt!!!! For the Pualu and Baracuda haha. Damn bro. Yes remember that for sure. Yeah that gas station turned to a detail shop after. Remember that too. Dang. Forgot about the smelt LOL. Pete (Barracuda Man) and Eugene taught me that. Miss them OG’s.
Right on braddah! I grew up with the action there. We called this place “Bike Paths”. Used to have ice ponds down the road and had the water cress farm. We used to catch crayfish over there. Gotta keep this place secret for the locals. Awesome vid but now the Haoles going take over! Just like how these Haoles taking over the rest of the island! All us Hawaiians and true locals need to pass these places on to our next generation not the Haoles and transplants!!
Aloha_St8 Oh cool. That the coolest house to be at. Ocean front property... prawns in the stream next to you. And a hop skip and a jump to the Powerplant. Awesome my man. Thanks for dropping by! See you on the next Video!
Wow, that brought back a lot of memories of the 60’s when I was a kid learning to fish. Thank you my friend for saving “power plant” fishing. Too bad no awa anymore in the currents because that would test your tackle. Absolutely the best feel-good video that I’ve seen in awhile. Mahalo again for everything. Take care and be safe.
seekidea Wow. That was back when Jesus (Long hair guy worked at Busters Waipahu) used to fish for the Bread Awa and Kio used to walk in the water waist high with his Opae in a float bucket. I Remembered using Jelly fish for Bait for them Awa. Best bait next to white bread. Great hearing memories like these. Thank you so much for sharing as well. I had to fight for our honey hole. Thank god HECO Management understood us. Have a great day buddy. Make sure you hit that bell notification so you can see my next video. Possibly a part ll. Aloha my man. Please stay in touch. Aloha!!!
j g Aloha! Bringing back the good Ol days buddy. This place hold a place in all of our hearts. Hope all is well up there. Stay safe and share the aloha spirit 🤙 Thanks for dropping in

Pokeman Fishing Adventures Hawaii I wonder if I used to see you over there fishing long time ago lol. I was always the kid on the skateboard with two rods sticking out my backpack and a couple loaves of bread haha. Good times.
Loved the video. I do not live in Hawaii but I appreciate all of your efforts to keep access by the plant available to all, especially the keikis and èlemākule. Everyone should leave an area cleaner than when they arrived. Bless you brother
Howzit Jay stumbled on your channel. You remember you and Glen and your ohana coming to my grandmas house in Kaneohe and crabbing in the back yard? Good old days. Take care my braddah happy to see you and Glen still fishing!
Bring back good memories! Back in the late 60s & early 70s my dad loved that place. In the early 80s I grew alot of pakalolo up an down that bike route? Hahaha DA good lo Days.
John Cadiz Dang! LOL. Was wondering why that place smelled so good. 😂 So amazing the amount of fisherman’s came through to such a little spot that’s off the beaten path. Good stuff brother John. Thank you for sharing 🤙😍
@@pokemanfishingadventuresha4108 I hope one day . My wife and I we really like to go camping there and I hope you know good place and good spot for fishing 🎣.
Oh yea I remember fishing there in the 70s and 80s. I mostly use to crab by the big bridge small kid time. Later my friends and I use to go by the watercress side and get oysters too. We use to sneak thru ice pond. Later on we all get stomach ache and boils wherever we had cuts. Still get the kakios for show.
hgkal808 LOL! I did that too! Hahaha. We had to sneak around that little gate and walk to the back. Then walk slowly on cut telephone poles that was stuck in the mud and water on each side just to get back there. Wow. Great memories for sure. 😍
Palani fishing is good fun !....although a lot of us progressed to boat fishing it’s always fun to relax and do some old school land fishing...no pressure !!👍🏼
Barry Iwashita No pressure is right LOL. Lots a people see me playing around and say... if I had a boat. I wouldn’t be here. I’d be looking for something Huge to catch off the boat. Sometimes it’s all about that little tug fix that we all need but less that Boat expense 😜 So yes. Lb for Lb. The Palani is my Tug of Choice. Fun 😍 Love it
Awesome channel, hope you make more videos on fishing the island. I saw the sign saying fish is contaminated and shouldn’t eat. It is safe to eat as you mention you fried them. Sorry for crazy question I just move to the island.
Isn't the water dirty there? I used to catch Palani on Ford Island, but nobody wanted to eat it. And I agree they are the strongest fish pound for pound. Maybe because they spread their large fins.
You popped up on my recommendations, only seen your sand island oio vid, unko you look mean but you speak super nice. just earned a new sub, aloha from kalihi haha

Sorry bro but that covid thing is absolutely a joke, does the politicians their force you to pay for a permission slip/ fishing license like they do us here in Maryland ? Just sinful
Agreed. It’s nuts here. We just got out of lock down the other day. So far we only need to pay for our Fresh Water Fishing license.
