In this video I go over the top 3 fishing spots in Oahu Hawaii along Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. Magic Island, Aha Wai Canal and Boat Harbor, and finally the Walls.
For anyone looking to use this video as a reference, please note that it is only legal to fish on the RIGHT side of the groin, Facing the pink hotel. The opposing side is a Marine Life Conservation District.
Thanks for all of this information,,, I will be fishing there next month hopefully. But my question ,is there a limit on the size or type of fish? Thanks again
I've only been to Oahu, not sure about the other islands. I have a video Im currently working on where I show the top 10 fishing spots around the entire island rather than just in the main hotel district of Waikiki beach.
I Wasn't aware that you could not use power bait. They sell it at the Hawaiian's Bait and Tackle & more. I've seen several videos where fisherman were using it in Hawaiian waters and so far I have not found any fishing regulations that specifically prohibit it. Do you happen to have any additional information on this. Thanks for your input

Here in Hawaiʻi you don't need a permit for salt water fishing. A fishing permit for fresh water fishing is $5.00 the last time I had purchased one.
Pronunciation was pretty funny.
I bet so.. I'm a southern backwoods county boy and the Hawaiian pronunciations is a bit tricky at best to me..
do you need fishing license if you’re non local?
Unless something has changed you do not need a saltwater fishing license but fresh water you do
For salt water no, fresh water yes, usually it is about $5.00.
What island for first timers who want to fish without guide

Power bait is also a no go on the island

Please do not fish the wall… we will get mad and you can get a ticket
Who are you? and who is the we you are talking about? I watched people fishing there daily, no signs saying no fishing even spoke to the lifeguard.
That painful listening to you slaughter our language. Otherwise fun video
Thanks for watching. The pronunciation of the Hawaiian language is tough for a southern boy.. most of the words Ive never even heard of before.
Jesus Christ man....relax.....
