Expect a flood of videos this week with all the E3 gaming news, it's E3 week and although I can't be there this year I can still give me opinion on the news as it breaks, I will be doing a daily Ding E3 special every day starting tomorrow :)
So Orcs must die unchained was a early release for a long time. During that time they completely changed their gameplay approach prior to release. I understand many people release "early access" as full games but its original attempt is for people to beta test and give feedback while also enjoying the game. Games can change significantly. For me its hard to tell someone it is or not worth to buy a unfinished game when its promoted as unfinished. This game does look really rough around the edges but I will definitely check back on it in 6 months.
A TON of potential but a lot more time and work would go a long way. I want to see them get more creative with the traps and combat and perhaps a number of game modes other than the defense one they have right now would be pretty great fun.
Devs need to understand that they only get one chance at a first impression. Nobody cares about that early access tag when it comes to those critical initial impressions. So few early access games get this right.
Hey Mack are you gonna do any E3 coverage? Nothing too big...you could basically just do a video on your impressions of each conference. Anyway love the channel and thanks for the free content :)
Any plans to revisit this game? I've played Orcs Must Die 1 and 2 so much and would love something similar (but new) and the new Hell Warders trailer says it's coming out in Fall 2018. Hmm...
Hey Mack I need your advice on the best games out, im a long time viewer old time gamer, old enough to see my older brother own an atari. I just upgraded my toaster 9000 to a Lenovo - Desktop AMD A10-Series - 12GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive two days ago. Ive been away from gaming for a while , graphics don't matter to me, going to repost a list of games im checking out right now on your next video, here is a short list im looking at now. #RTS supreme commander forged alliance forever, stellaris, total war series, ashes of the singularity #2-Space = fps/rts/mmo/fighter plane. eve online, elite dangerous, star citizen , house of a dying sun, Starpoint Gemini Warlords #3. FPS battlefield 2-3, prey, warface, #.4mmo Tiger Knight: Empire War, gta5, wars 2, warframe, planetside 2 #5 racing, rpg, air combat etc.
I'd say you've already found most of the good games. Prey, especially, I don't think I've ever seen Mack provide a game a more glowing review than he did for Prey.
System Shock 2>Prey honestly, if Prey had better enemies, like the hybrids from SS2, holy fucking shit that game woulda been amazing, still is great in every way, except the enemies
I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but without a dedicated graphics card you're going to really struggle to run games like GTA5 and star citizen at a decent frame rate (even without the graphics cranked up). So just before you buy anything, I recommend you check it on canirunit.com
you need to review a bigger segment of good, enjoyable games. It's a good service showing people what not to invest in but honestly i'd rather know what to invest in. Thanks for the great work though ;)
Mack, it's good to see you returning to form. But I do have to ask: Will Ed Tom Bell make a comeback? I enjoyed the moments where you lost it and Ed gave you the look. I looked forward to them.
Mack, try out onward, it's a shooter military sim:) has to be my favorite game on vr, also pavlov is pretty much the same but more close quarters. if you liked arma at all, you'll love it.
man, you are Missing out Mate! its the Franchise that Spawned the FPS Genre itself! I know Mack thumbed down the 2 Recent ones (New Order/Old Blood), but, Personally, I think they are 2 of the Best FPS Games to come along in a very long Time Indeed, so long as you can look past a few issues that are Inherant with Idtech 5 (60FPS Lock, bad Sync meaning you need V-Sync on to avoid tear, even though the Game is capped at 60, on a High Frame Rate Monitor, even one with G-Sync Equipped!, Texture Pop (only slight and pretty ignorable however) due to Megatexture, etc) you will have a Blast, you can get both on STEAM for £10 in most Sales as well, and Summer Sale hits in a few days time too! Return To Castle Wolfenstein is also still well worth a Play as it is an absolutely Phenomenal Game, one of the best FPS Games *Ever* Made IMO, but, be warned, as its from 2001, even the Good Old Games Version needs a few Mods to get running in 16;9 so it can be a pain in the Arse to get running on a Modern PC. Ignore the 2009 Game though, it is just COD with the Gun Limit Removed and some Supernatural/Sci_Fi stuff thrown in and is pretty crap as a result.
True, it was easily the *worst* conference, Besides EA's "I'm a TH-cam Creator".. At E3, yet, sadly, of all the Games I have seen at E3 this year, TNC is the only one I would actually *buy* .
How is this game playing in 2021? I really loved playing "Orcs Must Die Unchained" on PS4, but since they have shut it down, im looking for something to replace it. This could look like the replacement, if it werent for the negative reviews. Have it changed since then?
Mack please do a WAB for Bomb Squad Academy! It's a short game (unfortunately) so it won't take long to WAB! It's something a bit different! You may like it!
Hey dude Re-do 7 Days to Die. Alpha 16 experimental dropped and it is literally a whole new game. They have Skyscrapers, turrets, and boss zombies now.
i just realized though when you refund a game on steam doesnt it go to your steam wallet? so in the end the developers still get your money and steam will eventually get whats in your steam wallet as it cannot be spent anywhere else. I have refunded a game once but do not remember where it is refunded to
It's been said a thousand times, it's not removed it's invisible for a few weeks as it's being used as a bridge to my channel from a reddit group of trolls. I am reviewing the blood and wine expansion when I get time though.
Mac i've been away for some time and I cant seem to find your Witcher 3 review. What happened? I remember laughing my ass of and I was in the mood to watch it :P
leon floyd ya i saw that review but the most prominent thing that he disliked was that MKX was a 2 dimensional game. Tekken on the other hand is 3 dimensional and much more skill based.
I suspect that they released it in an unplayable state because they don't actually plan to make it playable. That seems to be the trend with buggy EA titles.
My advice to the developers: 1. Tower defense sucks, if you want to keep it optimalize this function, make it so players can only implement towers at certain positions, also the barricades are just plain hilarious to look at, change them so they are bigger and make the soldiers killable so they actually drop one by one. Also dont just make them appear like that, think up something cool like magic or something Lol, or make doors across the map from where soldiers flood in to stand in these corridors. 2. Dont put so much distractive shit on the screen, just be moderate and simplistic but not uncreative, the map hud is perfect, the controls hub at side looks fantastic too and benefits the game asthetically, im even okay with the hp bar, but dont put these highlight marks on the screen taht tell you where you must go, trust your players enough so that they can find the objectives by themselves, and if you dont then simply design the map layout so they are guided to these objectives, rather than get confused unless that is specifically your goal, which i think might benefit this game ironically. 3. Decide on the general flow of a game round, dont just make the session to be chaos, rather allow the players to do certain tasks at given times and do implement these tasks to work together with the interface the players control so that they can make mistakes and have fun while doing the objectives.
Oh, and most importantly dont tell the players how much time is left from the session, a game isnt supposted to feel like, yeah yeah just lets pass through this session, half of it is done, lets wait some mor time. People should feel like theya are really there, playing, and not just waiting on teh game to end, the numbers of the screen, the waves indicator only takes away from the game. Its like dont put all this useless shit in there, it only takes away from the experience.
Hell, games that are supposed to be 100% launched are usually buggy pieces of shit these days. Look at Batman: Arkham Knight. Look at Skyrim. Look at pretty much any game Bethesda or Ubishite have launched in the last 5-8 years. All broken garbage at launch. Yeah, they usually do end up fixing the majority of issues.. but at launch, they're borderline unplayable.
They don't have the reputation for this to work. 5-10 years ago it may have worked, but not today. Stores are full of endless "Early Access" trash from no name devs now. Most never go anywhere as they are abandoned long before you could consider them to be in a "finished" state. What they've done is ensure that by the time the game makes it to a decent playable state, no one cares about it anymore. The game industry needs to stop putting the cart in front of the horse, but it has become normal now. Games announce DLCs day 1 right along the game before it's even released, and others like this one are selling you a promise that in the future it might be worth playing. I don't want to buy faith or promises. Game stores should not be churches. Developers should not be priests.
Why does it HAVE TO always be multiplayer? It doomed Dungeon Defenders 2 and Orcs Must Die 3. The very idea here is that YOU defend. You along with your traps. Hordes of enemies slain. Through YOUR actions and YOUR planning. And with loads of players it's just mindless slaughter. I don't want to be a brick. I want to be the Chinese wall all by myself.
Yep, sounds like another Early Access game that won't be finished for years to come. Automatic pass. I've been involved with faaaaar too many of those.
Bad timing for this game imo. Dungeon Defenders 2 is pretty much the same thing except free and much more polish to it, officially coming out of EA on the 20th. They should have definitely waited to release it later.
This is what happens when indies think simply using unreal or unity can make your game look good. No, this looks like shit. Better to go cartoony or some stylized look.
Game looks ugly. Orcs Must Die had a very simple cartoony art style. Very colorful and simple design. This looks like brown clustered vomit. Major turn off. It looks like Disciples 3.

Excellent. I guess you can skip EA's conference eh? It was a sleeping pill simulator, haha
I know you're not good at fighting games but please review the TEKKEN 7 PC port.
make long videos :) 20+ mins
Looking forward to these Mack!
I'm actually interested to see what Mack thinks about the Battlefront 2 footage. Looks good from what I've seen. Classes as well.
I would love this as a single player game in the style of Ninety Nine Nights.
Cant wait for the E3 video's and the cave of gamechangers.. you will have a blast watching that Mac.
9:29 "That's the heuk"
"Thats the Hooooookk" @9:30....Hilarious
hey mack'n cheese ;)
I actually had that for the first time ever last week, it's nice :)
Love you! (no homo) (no homophobe)

Introducing Vaseline the revolutionary Game Development Tool from WAB Labs.
does anyone else read the title with Mack attempting todo the same accent as he says it.
Mack comin in with the hewk!
Aw, I didn't even get a mention Mack? :( Its because I'm American. I knew it. I KNEW it!
This game looks like it could be quite cool, and I like the aesthetics. Hopefully it ends up getting finished
I fucking love orcs must die 2

When the next update comes out for squad are you going to revisit it?As your last review isn't completely correct any more.
yup
Looks like a neat game =)
Devs need to understand that they only get one chance at a first impression. Nobody cares about that early access tag when it comes to those critical initial impressions. So few early access games get this right.
Looks very good though. I like the setting.
Hey Mack are you gonna do any E3 coverage? Nothing too big...you could basically just do a video on your impressions of each conference. Anyway love the channel and thanks for the free content :)
a wild alpha content appeared
Any plans to revisit this game? I've played Orcs Must Die 1 and 2 so much and would love something similar (but new) and the new Hell Warders trailer says it's coming out in Fall 2018. Hmm...
Y did I get a jeesus advertisement for this video?

They made dungeon defenders...again.
First impressions count, if my first impression of a game is 'it's shit' ...movin' on, next !
Seems like a Dungeon Defenders clone with more realistic graphics instead of the comic look
dungeon defenders is stil the best action defense game!!
It's in sale all the time. I will buy it. Literally 3$
good stuff mack
Hey mack did you stop updating your steam curator page for good ?
great review as always Mackie. thumbs up
fuck, i love you, Mack
you need to review a bigger segment of good, enjoyable games. It's a good service showing people what not to invest in but honestly i'd rather know what to invest in. Thanks for the great work though ;)
nice video
Hellwarders is like a shitty RP name I'd use when I can't think of anything else for my character in an mmo.
Mack, it's good to see you returning to form. But I do have to ask: Will Ed Tom Bell make a comeback? I enjoyed the moments where you lost it and Ed gave you the look. I looked forward to them.

Bethesda E3 Conference Tonight, can't wait. #PrayForTES6.
the missing link Both Bethesda and Microsoft today, tomorrow is Sony and ubisoft.
Starfeild? naaah! I want to see what MachineGames are doing with Wolfenstein now they have got the sourcecode for idtech 6 to Play with!
man, you are Missing out Mate! its the Franchise that Spawned the FPS Genre itself!

Mack do a setup tour around your office :D
How is this game playing in 2021?
I really loved playing "Orcs Must Die Unchained" on PS4, but since they have shut it down, im looking for something to replace it.
This could look like the replacement, if it werent for the negative reviews.
Have it changed since then?
Did u review orc must die, Mack?

Hey dude Re-do 7 Days to Die. Alpha 16 experimental dropped and it is literally a whole new game. They have Skyscrapers, turrets, and boss zombies now.
OMG that's a lot of people to reach in an hour.
have you seen dead cells? is also an early acces rougue-lite game, would be fun to hear your opinion!
i just realized though when you refund a game on steam doesnt it go to your steam wallet? so in the end the developers still get your money and steam will eventually get whats in your steam wallet as it cannot be spent anywhere else. I have refunded a game once but do not remember where it is refunded to

Notification Lads!
I cant find an alternative to orcs must die after it stopped on ps4, would you recommend anything as a substitute?
Did you find anything?
@@nathanharvey9420 orcs must die 3 but it feels empty in content compared to orc must due unchained
@@bt891 need to be atleast 3 player though. I dont know why they made orcs must die 3 only 2player
Mack, why did you remove the worthabuy witcher 3 video?
Are you remaking it? :o
It's been said a thousand times, it's not removed it's invisible for a few weeks as it's being used as a bridge to my channel from a reddit group of trolls. I am reviewing the blood and wine expansion when I get time though.
Mack don't hesitate to thumb it down if it's still a big pile of dirty, filthy, steaming garbage
ScrubCrusher69 Who cares? It's a very old game now and the video was a magnet for trolls.
I care, because I thought he would redo it.
Mac you need to play the new Wipeout, I think you'll love it.
bign3ck It's not on PC. Plus, it's just a remaster. So, I doubt he'll review it. I wouldn't expect him to.
Will you do a reaction to the SW: Battlefront II Live gameplay release?
mack will u review ea play ?
Isn't that the same as Origin access?
no i meant ea play e3
You should review ballistic overkill. Its cheap and pretty fun
By towers u mean expandedable men
Could you review the assasins creed trailer and it's: "ACTUAL IN GAME FOOTAGE" because I didn't see any
Mac i've been away for some time and I cant seem to find your Witcher 3 review. What happened? I remember laughing my ass of and I was in the mood to watch it :P
Hi Mack! Can u review Tekken 7 on PC?
Alduizard Mack hates fighting games watch his MKX review
leon floyd ya i saw that review but the most prominent thing that he disliked was that MKX was a 2 dimensional game. Tekken on the other hand is 3 dimensional and much more skill based.
Even fucking bethesda doesn't understand that game has to be playable for beta.
Has this game improved at all? This is definitely a Chinese game by the way.
I had no idea this was a chinese game.
What TLC stands for ?
i very much liked orcs must die. i will try this
I suspect that they released it in an unplayable state because they don't actually plan to make it playable. That seems to be the trend with buggy EA titles.
cold waters review?
Mack will you revisit 7 days to die alpha 16? it's a completely different game now XD
Are you going to take a look at Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, Mack?
Great game, runs like shit on my R390 but well worth a WAB
My advice to the developers:
1. mack will probably not see this comment :(
Derpy Lama Or he ignored you.
i bet he saw the comment because i were ca 10th comment :(
Oh boy....Mac better tear the fk out of E3 this year.
BATTLEFRONT 2 SUCKS!
This is what happens when indies think simply using unreal or unity can make your game look good. No, this looks like shit. Better to go cartoony or some stylized look.
So it is a shitty Dungeon Deffenders 2?
I have no interest in a game like this at all in fact I would prefer piles than play this shit but I understand this is a variety channel .
hewk
Game looks ugly. Orcs Must Die had a very simple cartoony art style. Very colorful and simple design.
This looks like brown clustered vomit. Major turn off. It looks like Disciples 3.
3rd person console mode, no thx im out.
looks terrible
First
