    Here's what I did for a plant-based Nespresso version with oat milk:
    1. Chilled the glass in the freezer for a few minutes.
    2. Poured 180 ml of oat barista milk (for those in Finland, I used Fazer Aito Kaurajuoma Barista) into the glass.
    3. Tilting the glass under the Nespresso machine's spout, I poured 2 Nespresso Original capsules (I used Corto because I think they go well with oat milk).
    4. Enjoyed a delicious drink! There wasn't such beautiful uneven separation between coffee and oat milk in my case, but it's delightful nonetheless.
    I think this is a perfect drink for when the weather isn't hot enough for iced coffees but you already crave summer coffee drinks. Thank you for the recipe, and greetings from Finland! 🇫🇮

      I agree. Most ads are annoying, this one keeps you engaged and provides enough details needed, and alternative options as well as advantages of the product. Kudos to the ad creator

    I had one from a cafe in Bangkok, they added a splash of whipping cream to the chilled milk, best thing i’ve ever put in my mouth. 😂

    I have one cup Dirty every morning in my favorite coffee shop. Normally shops use their best beans for it. So I have both the morning kick from brilliant espresso and also the delicious double milk to fill me up if not breakfast.

    I saw it before on both Barista of the year 2024 and Makro Czech Gastro Fest coffee zone in Prague, both in Milbok’s booths. I found it to sometimes overpower the coffee when in a cappuccino. But doubleshot cafe’s actually mix 50/50 Milbok and regular full fat milk in theirs, which apparently doesn’t over power the coffee - would like to see that in this dirty coffee.

    • @EuropeanCoffeeTrip
      @EuropeanCoffeeTrip  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, I know what you mean; in "competition" cappuccino, it depends on the espresso (and cultural preference). When we filmed at MAME in Zurich, the MILBOK/regular milk ration would be 50/50, but in the other locations in Geneva, it was more towards 70/30 in favour of MILBOK.
      However, it's quite different in Dirty Coffee since you keep both ingredients separate so I don't think there is a strong reason to dilute MILBOK if you pick the espresso beans right.

      @@EuropeanCoffeeTripI tried the Dirty coffee since we buy from Rohlik and very conveniently, they have Double Milk there - very good! But competition cappucino > cappuccino with 100% Double Milk.

    • @EuropeanCoffeeTrip
      @EuropeanCoffeeTrip  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DJProPlusMax Sure, thanks for sharing! You would need to have a very specific coffee to work with 100% MILBOK in a cappuccino. Usually, it's from 30/70 to 70/30 ratios (what we see at cafes). In Dirty Coffee, it's a little different, as coffee and milk mix differently in your mouth. Thanks for trying it out!

    3:16 I'm from Thailand, and option 2 (condensed milk) is really popular here. However, it's good together with traditional brewing styles, and I don't think it's suited to espresso.
    Long ago, syrup was not popular here. Guess what the only option we had? Yes, sweetened condensed milk. It's good with simple drip coffee and tea, but it definitely kills all the good espresso aroma.

  • @solagratia1600

    • @EuropeanCoffeeTrip
      @EuropeanCoffeeTrip  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I suppose it's more challanging to keep the layers separate but we have seen it done, the question is what recipe/beans you would use. Alternative is to do it in 2 steps and pour espresso over milk with a spoon in a second step.

      Thanks for the comment! I was talking about the Asian culture of drinking espresso (without dilution). That's quite common across Europe, less in Asia. Would that be a more correct take?
