    I have to agree your salads make my mouth water.
    Seems like the homeless problem is everywhere. Really a sad thing.
    Glad you found some beautiful falls and walking trails.

    The Locavore Bar & Grill in Squamish was one of my fav restaurants when I lived out there. Watching this makes me miss living in Vancouver. So beautiful.

    I agree with you about bananas! Also, another van life TH-camr I watch is based out of Squamish (though she’s driving across Canada right now). So cool!

    Nice Bensound music when you first got to Vancouver. Squamish had a lot of signs discouraging me from sleeping in my minivan -- I'm not as stealthy as you are -- so I never made it to Whistler. I had several good nights sleeping while parked on the streets of North Vancouver, in an industrial area near a Walmart.

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There were tons of vans in the Squamish Walmart lot! I didn’t sleep there but everyone else seemed to. The nature is beautiful all along the Sea to Sky but you saw a lot of it by just going to Squamish. And North Vancouver is the way to go. Lots of options.

      @@nicolewise That's good to know, next time I might have an overnight stay in Squamish. One thing I love about Canada is being able to shower in community center gyms for a low price.

    Nicole, question for you - in one of your video I thought I saw a battery power unit (like a Jackery or Bluetti). How do you charge yours up? I'm curious because I'm hitting the road this weekend and have bought a battery and portable solar panel. I'm trying to gauge the driving vs charging time. I dont believe you've said how you charge yours. Thanks!

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a EcoFlow and I charge it while driving. Mine came with a 110v charge cord so I plug it into the cigarette port and it’ll charge from zero to 100% during about a 5hr drive.

    • @triciak1911
      @triciak1911 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicolewise mine came with one of those too. I was "warned" by car battery sellers that charging it that way would drain my car battery quickly. You dont have that problem? Were they mansplaining to me? Lol

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@triciak1911 Probably mansplaining. I don't charge it in the port while the vehicle is off. But I think while it's driving it's fine. I have had zero issues with that. The only issue I had is with the cord overheating and melting. That happened once and they sent me a new cord. Now I won't let it charge longer than 30-45 minutes without me taking it out and letting it cool for a few then plugging it back in.

    • @triciak1911
      @triciak1911 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nicolewise thanks!!! I knew not to charge while car is off but did not think about the cord getting too hot. I shall follow your advice! Vanlifers know best.

    Hello Nicole...I really love your videos as they always encompass a beautiful view of nature. I just wanted to remark on the portion of your video that showed the homeless and the area you wrote as being sketchy. I live in my van but not by choice so please take a moment to reflect on these powerful words...
    2The Ltter of James2:1-26
    2 My brothers, you are not holding to the faith of our glorious Lord Jesus Christ while showing favoritism, are you?a 2 For if a man with gold rings on his fingers and in splendid clothing comes into your meeting, but a poor man in filthy clothing also enters, 3 do you look with favor on the one wearing the splendid clothing and say, “You take this seat here in a fine place,” and do you say to the poor one, “You keep standing” or, “Take that seat there under my footstool”?b 4 If so, do you not have class distinctions among yourselves,c and have you not become judges rendering wicked decisions?d5 Listen, my beloved brothers. Did not God choose those who are poor from the world’s standpoint to be rich in faithe and heirs of the Kingdom, which he promised to those who love him?f 6 But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who oppress youg and drag you before law courts? 7 Do they not blaspheme the fine name by which you were called? 8 If, now, you carry out the royal* law according to the scripture, “You must love your neighbor as yourself,”h you are doing quite well. 9 But if you continue showing favoritism,i you are committing sin, and you are convicted* by the law as transgressors.j

      When I said it was sketchy I was referring to the woman I was talking to at the water. You can hear her call an area “sketchy” and I was wondering if this was the area she was referring to. I meant no disrespect.
