I always wondered when devin townsend first cut his long hair short between 1997 - 1998. I could never find rough dates but his look here kinda suits him. He carries off the mad professor look with elegance. The complete shaved look suits him also and definitely better than the long sides and back with nothing on top look. His voice definitely has progressed over the years but this is a great sounding gig with soo much intensity. I loved watching this.
I saw this show a few days later in London, technically it wasnt an "Ocean machine " show, it was Strapping Young Lad. Towards the end of the Strapping show they did four songs from Ocean machine as the encore, then came back and did one SYL song to end with. Not overly sure it worked at the gig, but you could definitely see the writing on the wall in terms of the SYL gigs becoming more mixed up with Dev`s solo stuff over the next couple of years.
Devy's hair looks like he just finished up his shift as a computer salesman before coming to this show.
