Great sounding upgrade from the factory exhaust. I would go with sport exaust without question since you shed some weight and probably get some power gains as well. Looking forward to the next mod video.
Nice sound considering the cats are still on. Sounds like Ford opened up their flow on the cats. Looks like cat-back systems will be the way to go with the 15s. The off road pipe guys might not be too happy since a manifold to header swap is required for that. Oh well most modders eventually add headers anyways. Makes it hard for us "back yard" guys though, laying in the driveway to do the exhaust. Looking forward to more videos of the GT.
Thank you for the awesome vid! I have the same exhaust, which I and many of my friends love the sound of it, I want to add some headers along with it, do you have any suggestions of the type I should use that would fit perfectly with this catback? I'm not looking to spend a whole lot! Thank you for your time, and suggestion.
Giovanni Adrian well that car now has kooks headers. They fit perfect. You need to remember sometimes not spending a lot equals parts that don't fit or don't last. I wouldn't put cheap parts that rust or rub the steering shaft on a S550. We have a good price on kooks and free shipping, and it's made in the USA.
Yeah I'm looking for something affordable that's not cheap quality! I'll never go that route! Never have and never will... Just trying to keep up with 3 Mustangs and looking for quality yet affordable parts. Probably not possible. Thanks man.
I ran that combo with headers and I didn't mind it with cats, but no cats it was a bit loud. It now has kooks mufflers which my opinion is kooks mufflers sound better and are my favorite. Exhaust is pretty subjective and I'm sure some think kooks or anything else may or may not sound good. For now though, kooks are at the top of my list.
+Michael Harris thats why you see so many of them for sale on craigslist for $800. People realize H pipe is the way to go. Everyone loves my cars sound (except my neighbors when I cold start it in the morning)

It would be nice to hear the touring catback for comparison.
So badass! Thanks for the vid.

this sound clip at the end is the cat or axle?
Dyno numbers?
im confused are these the same with the borla s type? which one is louder?
Lambert Rodriguez These are made by Borla for ford. Normal borlas are louder tour to touring and sport to S type.

Giovanni Adrian I've heard nothing but bad reviews of this exhaust in conjunction with headers. They supposedly don't pair well.
Steve Pounder Thank you so much man! I appreciate your input... I have decided not to do it.

This is good for driving into crowds of people
Go.Away.
👍☺😀
Don't do a X-pipe, they sound weak and raspy. European. Put some muscle on their, H-pipe only.
$1,600 :'(
just buy the muffler for 895$ its the same but you need to cut the pipe
Borla, mover priced crap. Just like Roush super chargers. Crap.
Def don't like. Raspy, puny, tinny. Yuck.
