    This is my dream when I first bought my 240z. Sadly my dream never came true. Nice and clean car man.

    I love the idea of the 2JZ in a 260Z. One of the world's best engines in one of the world's best bodies. It should have been a modern classic sports car. However, I don't like all you've done to the outside. To my eye, you've swapped its elegant suit for a leather truss. You've made it a muscle car, not the elegant sports car it was. That's probably a sign that I am too old for this world. Thank you for sharing though - the world would be boring if we all thought the same.

    haha you don't have to pop that hood to get attention in that thing. Around here I'd be getting yelled or honked at every day. Technology can do whatever it wants, you'll always have one of the GoATs. Come over and help me install those brakes on my stock 280 lol. Smaller ones actually I'm never going to have that kind of power. Sometimes I wait to get gas when it's slow so I don't have to work to be anti-social. Ohh it sounds like OG L-block too congrats man that is so sweet, you're the man, dude!

    @Garage Built Official Love the video! As for your "undriveable E-85 tune", I think your problem is your contact patch. When you zoomed in on your rear wheels, I noticed that you are only running a 245/45ZR16. That's too small a tire for 700+ HP. If you cant put the power down, then you will always be on the edge of out of control and it being a scary ride. And with the size of your rear flares, you definitely have the space for a much wider tire. Unfortunately, It looks like for a 16 inch rim, your only 275 size tire option is going to be a drag radial. The R888's do come in a 17 inch rim in a 275 and a 315 but not a 16 inch rim. (275/40 and 315/35) SO... either you go to a taller/wider rim or you try the drag radials in a 16 at 275mm. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Again, enjoying the videos of the Z! 😁🤙

      Will 315 in 17s fit a 240z?

    • @GarageBuiltofficial
      @GarageBuiltofficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with you 100% and honestly maybe in the future.. for now 91 is more than enough haha. I don't race or anything so E85 is honestly just to brag at this point lol

    • @carterlrae
      @carterlrae 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@damnitdang Yes, I know someone running them on his LS 280Z. And there are a few people out here running them on their Z's also. Search TH-cam for "Medusa or Nastya Z". Thats one of the most notable one's running 315's on the rear. It was built by ZCar Garage.

    • @carterlrae
      @carterlrae 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GarageBuiltofficial Yeah, I get it. I caught a ride in Chris Forseburgs 280Z before he owned it. It was Silver then. But it felt fast as fuck back then at around 300. These cars are so light, that 300-400 is more than enough to have fun with. My home boy has an LS 280Z with about 490 and that feels fast as fuck too. My Z when its complete will have around 650 on Kill, but on normal driving, it will definitely be in the low to mid 400's. So I'm with you.

    • @carterlrae
      @carterlrae 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@damnitdang Sorry, "Medusa Z or Nassty Z". Either one should pull up his Z. Its a very well known car that runs 275's on the front and 315's out back.

    Been considering a 240 or 260 build for quite some time! I also love the 2j swap but have considered the l28et as well. Any tips on which route to go or how to find good scores on engines like this? Was wanting to start from a bare shell.

    • @GarageBuiltofficial
      @GarageBuiltofficial  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly it depends on your budget, if you have a good ammount then go for the JZ just because of "modern-ish" technology compared to the L series. If youre limited then stick to the L series, which in my opinion they're still very good engines.

    Not a fan of it man. The l28 is a good engine when boosted. Nissan should stay Nissan.
