Adding a Twisted Header aka 'Twining'

  • Learn how to start your woven piece off with a twisted header aka 'twining'.
    This is one of the most secure ways to start and finish your woven piece as it traps your warp ends from all sides giving you a lovely sturdy base on which to start your weaving on and, when it comes to taking your work off the loom , it prevents your weft from walking up and down your warp.
    You can use this technique for both practical and decorative purposes and, by changing the colour of yarn used, can create some wonderful patterns which I will cover in a separate video.
