Interesting but this is NOT THE WHOLE PROCESS, just a small bit. I watched a video from casting the flax flower seed and ALL THE STEPS leading up to looming. Tremendously labor intensive ALL THE WAY THRU.
This gal is doing a great job in showing just these 3 steps !

I've been watching several videos on this subject and really considering planting some flax next year and giving this a shot. I've also been considering cotton.
    Love the video! Thanks!

I would love to see how you spin the flax. Maybe you can do that in a video, but not a short one.

True. But also, the flax is broken on the brake

These short videos are nice, but put together something of substance. Take some time to make a better effort and a teaching tool. String these shorts together and make a film, rather than just a couple minutes here and there.

Thanks for the feedback! We do plan to do more long form videos. TH-cam shorts (what this videos is) only allows for no more than 60 seconds of video

Or you could get your nose off your phone and do it yourself. 👀

Will someone tell me what the hell flax is?

Flax is the organic material that makes linen, because of it's original state, you have to go through a series of steps to process it before spinning it into a fibrous material to weave it.

Flax is a beautiful blue flower on a tall slender stem that is grown then cultivated and processed to produce a fabric called linen.
The entire process is lengthy and hard work and creates a high cost fabric. People either love linen or don't. Linen was used to make sheets, pillowcases, toweling (hence what we still today call linens when you go to buy sheets) shirts, dresses ...all sorts of clothing throughout 100's maybe 1000s of years of history.
Paper pulp use to be made by soaking old linen rags in vats of urine until it disentagrated (as a part of the paper making process)
The phrase Tow-head for a blonde haired child came from the term 'tow' , a term used in processing linen.
Ever hear this description: 'she had flaxen hair"....
I'm no way an expert but maybe I helped answer your question.
