I feel like if Hasbro managed to get all the beast war season one characters out in kingdom (since thats what the line is promoted by) I’d have very high regards of the line
@@celestialalkaid5721 I agree, but honestly the way we got gems like Cyclonus and Blaster makes me still not hate it at all. It's at the same level as Siege for me.
kingdom felt like earthrise leftovers with the same cat mold 8 times in different sizes, though looking back at it it gave us the best figures of the trilogy in terms of engineering.
I only got into collecting around the middle to end of kingdom, honestly what a line to start on. I love them a lot especially Cyclonus, galvatron and Blaster.
I got back at the Tail end of TR, and the start of PotP. That was OK, getting back in Siege would have been amazing, but Kingdom is definitely the next best line after that. It had some of the Highest Highs of the decade, though it is worse than Siege because it also had some of the lowest lows.
When you said it confused you that it was odd that Paleotrex was a Predicon but his head was primal’s weapon, I think it’s because as far as a story goes, I think primal ripped his head off and used it that way
Kingdom for me was what really got me back into transformers. I'm here for the Cores personally. Cheapo boys, really fun transformations, and it's just neat. Core class scratches my itch personally and it's just so nice to have these boys on a budget. Bottom line the biggest win Kingdom probably has I would argue is Core Class.
Is Legacy a 1 season series that is like a Multiversal crossover, if so when is that ever going to happen? It just seems like a toy line to celebrate the years (not saying it’s bad just curious)
I'm not sure quite what you mean by that, it had a show, and the show was WRETCHED. I think Legacy is supposed to be a Celebration of all the years. Kingdom was Meant to be the BW line, I think I make sense of it in my next script so stay tuned for that.
I'm pretty sure Legacy is supposed to be another 3 year thing. Hasbro's gotten stuck in a trilogy mindset. I'm pretty sure it's eventually getting fiction, but I'm not sure when.
If Netflix doesn't want to screw up another Transformers series, that's fine by me. They have no idea what quality means, or they just refuse to pay for quality. Not sure which. I'm sure there'll be comics, or Hasbro can do a series themselves or give it to a competitor. I know the histories of most of the non-comics-only characters, so I don't need fiction to get me to buy. Legacy is guaranteed at least 2 years, given Wave 2 is listed as December, but I'm pretty sure I've read 3 years.
@@PerspectiveEnd I heard that Netflix didn’t want to pass the pitch for the show so like it was an idea that hasbro wanted but Netflix just rejected it I guess
1:41 I feel like Vertebreak isn't a fossilizer because they're so small, and it'd be difficult to make them partsform and become weapons. The best i think they could have done is give it a third mode where it takes from battlemasters and turns into a weapon without partsforming. Like that rhinox gun thing we got for ROTB.
I subscribed because I feel like Blur is the narrator. You make this channel fun! thank you for your dedication, and thorough source material. keep it up!
Kingdom had a lot of heart put into it from the start, and that was evident with the way some of the figures were designed and how they turned out in hand. Unfortunately that can only go so far. Still one of my favorite lines since I've gotten back into collecting, but I kinda wish wave 4 is where it ended off at. As opposed to shoe horning in 2 figures at the last minute to artificially extend the line by a few months
One of my favorites as well, and I think there's a clear reason as to why the line had a lot of heart at the start, you will hear about in the next video.
4:11 I wish someone would say that to an Acid storm figure....BUT NOOOO BECAUSE HASBRO KEEPS ALTERNETING BETWEEN : I'M STUPID AND I'M SMART BECAUSE THEY LOVE TO DO REPAINTS AND NEVER DO A RAINMAKERS REPAINTS except that one time in siege and at that time they were smart but they weren't when they decide to do trust in Acid storm's color.... HOW DARE YOU HASBRO
Love the cliffhanger. On the next episode of PerspectiveEnd, we find out the answer but wait? A new figure might arrive to be reviewed, we'll find out on the next exciting video of Perspective Z.... Erm I mean PerspectiveEnd
Definitely a good line, I was kind of annoyed that red alert was so hard to get here in the uk (still waiting to have enough spare to get him) After missing out on most of siege and earthrise’s dreadful distribution where I am (I literally only ever saw wheeljack and cliffjumper in stores and got ironworks and arcee for Christmas/birthday) this line was a nice change of pace, hopefully they keep it up with how well studio series and a handful of legacy figures have been showing up where I usually get stuff
Kingdom holds a special place in my heart since its what got me back me back into collecting and its definitely become one of my favorite toy line, the highlights for me being warpath and galvatron those two figures are great
I throughly enjoyed kingdom. I have I belive a majority of the figures, and I don't have problems with most of them. Yes it was a mixed bag of characters, but it was really fun and allowed me to fill a lot of gaps in my newly started collection. Another good video PE. Keep it up
Kingdom was an amazing toy line despite it being heavily infested with G1, like other lines! It gave me figures of BW characters I thought that I’d never own, glad that had the opportunity. Legacy has done similar to me as well, can’t wait for future figures!
I loved all the beasties in kingdom. Beast Wars was unfortunately absent from my life growing up so being able to get these borderline micro masterpieces, especially where the headsculpes are concerned (except for one, you know who I'm talking about), was amazing. As far as the G1-ification of the line goes, I'm pretty sure it was bound to happen even if the figures that were most likely meant for ER had been released when they were supposed to. I'm just hyped that we're finally getting tarantulus.
@@PerspectiveEnd Unfortunately yes. Still better than any RED figure tho, but clearing a bar that's laying on the floor isn't really an impressive achievement.
Kingdom was kind of a breath of fresh air for me, it was the first time I bought nearly an entire line, and honestly I’m glad I did, for the record, wave 2 was my favorite wave, and my overall favorite figure was leader megatron
I've been waiting for this video since your first Legacy review, so the fact that this is going to get a sequel makes me happy! Can't wait to see what you talk about in that video!!! And Kingdom is my absolute favourite Transformers line, beating Animated by a small margin! Megatron and Galvatron made me fall in love with leaders again. Cyclonus, Dinobot and Blaster made Voyager my favourite class once again. And the deluxes were okay, but Red Alert smashed the rest out of the way. I'm just glad the failed Scorponok mould made an absolutely fantastic Sandstorm who's quality is up there with Kingdom Cyclonus
I hope I feel more proud of the sequel than I do this, because the only thing I'm happy with on this video is the Thumbnail. Which I am super proud of. Wait the Sandstorm is better than the Scorponok? How?
@@PerspectiveEnd I absolutely love your thumbnail, and you should be proud of this one too, even if you feel like it was rushed! The build quality is so much better, nothing loose, everything is tight so I don't feel like I'm gonna break it when I pick him up. Same goes for Buzzsaw
So, recap of my interactions with Kingdom: Vertebreak, Ractonite, Paleotrex, Blackarachnia, Warpath, Wheeljack, Sparkless Seeker, Gen Selects Galvatron will arrive in a matter of weeks. And...that was it for me in this chapter.
@@PerspectiveEnd (And again, I have seen Siege Jetfire, Kingdom Beast Megatron, Kingdom Optimus Primal, Kingdom Cheetor, Core Optimus Prime, Core Rattrap, and Core Starscream on my store shelves. And if I had (all) the power to do so, I would have have them.) (And do you know what I mean about the Legacy Fossilizer Wreckers, and my inability to obtain Wingfinger?)
We may have not gotten every beast wars character in this line, but after kingdom came around beast wars has now been a part of the transformers line up more then any others with 8 beasty characters coming around in legacy, could say that it was intended for that line but couldn’t made it in, but I’m happy where still getting them with a killer inferno and transmetal megatron coming around
I actually like blaster a lot more now, I took off his head and replaced it with siege crosshairs and OH MY GOD I LOVE IT. He looks like a weird alternate reality soundwave and I am all for it.
Kingdom was the breath of fresh air I needed to get back into collecting. Year after year it’s always the same G1 stuff and it’s just so uninteresting to me.
Epic retrospective PerspectiveEnd!!! I had a similar figure-swapped-inside-the-box story like you did with Ultra Magnus. I found a copy of Kingdom T-Wrecks where the original figure had been swapped with Age of Extinction Scorn, true story. my least favorite Kingdom figures are Rhinox, Tracks, and Hot Rod. :P Keep on being amazing.
Man you should have said "Epic Retrospective Perspective". This wasn't actually swapped, this was something hasbro was intentionally doing, but man your story is really egregious. Those three do suck something awful. And thank you I will.
@@PerspectiveEnd Sorry about that. Yikes! Intentional, that is beyond egregious, that is borderline criminal. At least if they are the worst of the Kingdom line, it was overall a success, for me it was. lol You're welcome! Cheers. :D
That Cyclonus is the crowning achievement of main line Transformers of 2021. It makes masterpiece versions pointless unless you insist on scale. Same for the Galvatron. With upgrade kits, it really shines.
I mean I wouldn't say no to a better face, and an MP could be more poseable, but from body Sculpt, to Transformation, to altmode I wouldn't really want them to change it.
I am thankful for kingdom for getting me back into transformers (being a beast wars fan) they were very affordable, partly nostalgic, plus I dig the realistic animal takes, it separates them from the masterpiece. This would also lead me into getting an actual masterpiece figure when I found a discount (Masterpiece Dinobot)
I get that, but it's not like they've all been done in MP, infact it's only like 5 of them so far. I'd be down for Realistic Beast modes, if we had EVER gotten accurate one's before that weren't MP.
So basiclly, kingdom is when hasbro trying to do beast wars character but their love of G1 making kingdom turn from a beast wars intended toyline into a G1 toyline
Definitely some stunners and stinkers in the line, in at times equal measure. I would flying suplex a robot for an IDW inspired remold of Cyclonus though, hands down. I just wish the add-on kits to diy weren't piecemeal in three batches and still lacking the samurai-esque thigh guards.
@@PerspectiveEnd NewAge is the first company I can think of to make one that is only a retool of the other incarnations of himself, and includes the unique molding bits as well as (albeit partsforming) thigh guard plates that also go where they should in spacejet mode. Unfortunately it's in legends scale, the scale I've set for my G1 set, not upper chug/MP scale which I'm using for my Lost Light IDW crew. If someone, or NA themselves would release an upscale version I would easily pay double for it, it's that good. I don't think images can be added to comments, but look up NewAge Toshiro and it should come up.
Great video PE, was hoping you’d do a Kingdom Retrospective. This’ll always have a special place in my heart for being my first line and having Warpath to rope me back in and I’ve gotten so much fun out of collecting ever since and being properly introduced to you and the community. I can see from a Beast Wars fan’s…perspective…that it did seem to taper off near the end but I’m still so glad it exists, really interested in your thoughts next video.
I eventually found it. I had him displayed on a Shelf above my eyeline, and the tail had fallen off and rolled to the back. So I know the pain, and the joy of overcomming the pain.
Just shared your channel on my TF facebook group from Quebec, Canada (the french part of Canada, but most of them get english). Also, can't wait to listen your review on Legacy Dragstrip, been on the fence on getting him, but your opinion being so close to mine generally, I can't wait!
@@PerspectiveEnd it is bilingual officially yeah but the rest of Canada is as well and still you don’t here too many folks fluent in French outside of Quebec. Our politicians have the thickest accents and most of 40+ don’t know more than basic 101. Anyway, can’t wait!!
Man, I sure do miss the War For Cybertron Trilogy toy line. I miss the blast effects, the ramp system, the C.O.M.B.A.T. System and the battle scratches. I remember when the first leaks for Siege Optimus and Megatron and being so pumped up in 2018. I remember Siege Optimus Prime being my first WFC figure, and being so pleased. I remember being excited for Earthrise Wheeljack. And finally, I remember being nostalgia-struck when the first Kingdom reveals dropped. I remember getting Primal and loving the crap out of him. Those were great memories, and I am sad to see the trilogy of hype go. I think I just gave myself depression.
In my Blackarachnia I noticed that that post on the chest that many reported as fragile was shorter than in other copies, perhaps to solve that post breaking they decided to make it shorter in later copies. I got my Blackarachnia when wave 3 was coming out
I love the fact that the BW characters are based on realistic animals, I love the original beast modes from the show but I can’t help but prefer the new kingdom alt modes
A while ago, Netflix turned down a Legacy series. This confirms its existence, so I think that it is possible that Galvatron and Nemesis prime were reformatted in to Galvatron II, and Nemesis into RID Scourge.
Yeah, getting the Legacy Galvatron, I really do enjoy the figure a lot. There are only two things that could make this figure better, in my opinion. First off: a better head. While the one we have doesn’t have a bad head, the helmet of it is bit more ovular in shape. I think we all would have loved a head sculpt closer in shape to how Galvatron’s head was in the 86 movie. Second: I wish they would have made a Galvatron with the bluish-purple color he had in the 86 movie. While purple is the more baser color of Galvatron, that blue tint he had in the 86 movie made him pop out a bit more for me. The only company I’ve seen that’s come out with a Galvatron figure that is closer to his color scheme in the 86 movie is FT when they released him in his FT-16m variant. Now X-Transbots’ Galvatron does seem like it may have a closer color scheme to what he had in the movie, but we’ll have to see when it fully releases. With that said though, I did find someone on Reddit who repainted their Kingdom Galvatron with the movie accurate colors, and it looks beautiful. It’s under r/transformers and posted by FCB323 if you want to search it up. Or just look up Kingdom Galvatron repaints.
Absolutely, that's one of my main problems with the Galvatron my self, that head just ain't it cheif. I think that Color is only on some transfers of the movie, this purple feels pretty close to what I saw in the movie, though it could stand to be a little darker. I don't know how to search reddit by user, can you link?
This was a great video! Even though it wasn’t that long ago it made me feel nostalgic lol. Also it’s sad the show turned out to be so bad. Kingdom R.I.P. - you tried and failed but you will be missed.
The only way I'm going to display my ark is with a chef's hat , mustach, and a text bubble saying "MAMA MIA!!!!" Because I made a joke to myself that he turned into a hollow deep dish pizza
The cohesive part 3 line that Kingdom never was I dub the Rebirth line. If the Studio Series 86 figures were never welcomed into that line and instead found their home in WFT 3.
I don't know why, but it seems like i am - the next to the only person in fandom, that has no problems with Cheetor's shoes. They dont' fail me. Ever. But one time they failed me, they realy failed me. Like, he fell of the shelf, taking Hot Rod with him and making him drop his guns 'cause of the posable fingers. And they fell right into the space between the wardrobe and wall. Honestly, Cheetor might be the single figure that impacted my colection the most, making me get new shelfing, so when they fall they end up on a soft coach instead of that terrifying void.
I honestly enjoyed what Transformers WFC Kingdom had to offer. Bringing back Beast Wars characters with more realistic animal/dinosaurs/insect molding is cool. Sure there were some hits and misses, but luckily I don't have to deal with that, as I preserve my figures in their boxes. The introduction of core class is cool. Not really a fan of the downsized characters like Optimus Prime, Megatron and Starscream. But like how it was used for Rattrap, Soundwave, and the two new characters, Vertebreak and Dracodon, as I consider them Fossilizers. Speaking of, out of the three sections in the trilogy, Kingdom is the first where I got every weaponizer gimmick Fossilizer characters. From store shelves and exclusives. Do I wish for more Beast Wars characters to appear in this toyline, yeah sure. I do wish there was more Decepticons characters, as it was just Galvatron and Cyclonus to represent that faction. And I wish Kingdom didn't have the package refresh of Optimus Prime, Wheeljack, and Arcee. As those spots could have been filled with either more Decepticons or Beast Wars characters. I do remember there was a rumor listing for Starscream to return. And honestly, I kind of wish it had happen. As I would have Seekers from across the trilogy chapters. But I guess it was because of the Studio Series 86 Starscream that it didn't happen. -Legacy is among us. With some Beast Wars theme characters, either planning to appear or released. Got Nightpowler, Buzzsaw, and Sandstorm. Looking forward to what else is in store.
Because Soundwave is known mass shifts from big robot to little cassette player. Can't believe I didn't think of using core class Soundwave like that before. Guess it's because I got the tiny cassette player Soundwave, from the Centurion Drone weapons pack, for that use. I did see core class Soundwave on clearance. So I gave him a chance, and he serves as my desk toy, in his little cassette player mode. Hope a core class Blaster is in the works. Wrong choice of words, I mean Legacy is already here.
I'd like the Fossilisers/Weaponisers more if they were designed as Loadbearers. Even if the core robot just folded up like a Headmaster, depicting the character as a self-contained robot who has been augmented would fit better with my concept of what a Transformer is than if it's a self-assembling pile of body parts.
@@PerspectiveEnd A Transformer like Ultra Magnus whose spark is well suited to augmentation. So instead of Slammer's torso being nothing but an adapter piece once you steal his arms and legs, you'd transform it into a smaller robot mode.
Personally I think kingdom was one of the best figure selections in years so far, though I will say waves 1 and 2 of legacy got me excited. I’d say best figure of kingdom is a three way tie between cyclonus, core sound wave and galvatron for me. Though warpath is close for me only missing a proper gun.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah beast megs is great don’t get me wrong but the fragility and wired plastics on top of a lack in accessories brings it down for me while the other three hit all the right marks for me
Thoughts on some figures in Kingdom Rattrap and Dinobot : The first two I bought because I couldn't wait any longer for lock down to end to get the figures. Still two of my favorites despite the flaws. Also, one of the only Core Class released here The Ark : Never planned on getting this until I got it for Christmas. While the ship mode is the best mode, I still don't mind the robot mode all that much BW Megatron : YESSSS! Got a later copy and I cant stop playing with it. Transforming it or posing it in both modes. Amazing! Scorpinok : Not as bad as I thought, but not great. I dont mind the new robot mode, but I wish I waited for Sandstorm Blaster : Still weird he Beat Soundwave as a figure for once. Wish more cassettes came out Airrazor and Tigatron : All round good figures, but only bought them so Tigatron could hold Airrasor on one arm as they fire at enemies. I am sure it would be the other way round and if I remember, You said you did it with an Arcee and Springer? Honestly, Kingdom is a good line. Wish there was more beast wars in it, but maybe Now hasbro will start adding more beasts into lines now they know we want the beasties
Heh, even though it's just a minor issue, I'm glad blackarachnia didn't snap at that breast tab, even though I've converted her at least 20 times. I think someone said they changed something about that tab, so it wouldn't snap, but I'm not sure
With Waspinator, I think Hasbro & Takara dropped the ball, they should of made him a weaponzier, so that we can recreate some of the scenes where he blown to bits and has to put himself back together!
I got the kingdom Red alert and…………. AMAZING, yeah it might seem average, it’s soooo fun, the colors are awesome, the feel is really good, not siege Optimus or ROTF Megatron, but it feels great. And the transformation is fun. I did not have to use the instructions as, well I could clearly tell how it was done, but it is fun That’s all I can say about the figure, it’s fun
When this line was announced I was like BEAST WARDSAsS and now I still like it but I only got one figure was dinobot the others were just a little bit overpriced
So, in terms of the lines that "got me started" I'd say it was Combiner Wars (only two figures Ironhide and eventually a price hiked Brawl) and Power of the Primes, the only non movie or Animated figures I'd gotten before that was 2014 Waspinator and Rhinox. Siege started a year after I'd moved and was just around when I got into G1 more with hunting down Classics stuff beforehand, Earthrise was disappointing but Kingdom...This was my Siege. The only Beast figure I skipped was Rhinox and I pretty much loved everything else, the only other one I missed is Transmutate who still seems easy to find compared to other Selects stuff. As for why they spent some spaces for non characters like Huffer Smurf (which, is funny given how some G1 actors were also voicing the Smurfs like Bombshell's was Grouchy, have fun not being able to unhear it now!) and Slammer to use for an easy to find Terrorsaur and, heck even if they wanted to dip into toy only characters like Razorbeast or try to do something new like Nyx and Skold, I'd love that. Especially considering we got ER repacks taking slots too. I love ER Prime and like Siege Megatron I honestly feel like they could get away with repacking those two (And Siege Prime for good measure) forever until they find a way to top em and I love Wheeljack flaws and all, but him and especially ERcee didn't need to be here.
@@PerspectiveEnd So do I, especially with the weird G1 inclusions. The core figures I get, Prime I get, Wheeljack not so much, ERcee not at all, and I can't say for Tracks. I don't hate him nor like him, like a lotta characters in the original cartoon he's..just kinda there to me, but his designs neat. I feel the same with Brawn, Reflector, Huffer and Gears. Actually I'll go as far to say I actually do like Gears. I like Grouchy Smurf Squidward type characters, and if you ask me instead of blue Huffer I kinda wish we got him or Brawn instead if it had to be a G1 character.
@@PerspectiveEnd Also Scorponok. I don't hate the figure, I don't even mind his squat robot mode, but the scorpion mode is a different story. It's probably my least favorite transformation, Megatron has a frustrating moment for me with the white clip connecting when goin to T-Rex mode, but Scorponok the highlight for me is folding out the scorpion head and getting the leg to connect to the tail. I dunno why but I find it satisfying. The legs in scorpion mode are the worst part for me, the most I can think is doin something like the original 90s Waspinator and the robot legs become oversized bug mode legs. Would it but ugly? Probably but at least the head would have more room and that clip to get his legs in the torso for robot mode wouldn't be as tricky. Also, I just noticed this cuz of a recent upgrade kit, but major missed opportunity to have the Cyberbee be able to clip into Primals chest. That sounds like an odd choice but Siege Soundwave came with a pistol to make Megatron's gun barrel back antenna so wouldn't be too out there (that or it was unintentional and it just happened to be perfect for that it's..honestly my motivation to pick up the Legacy rerelease lol)
I hope that eventually, just like with g1, we will get all the BW characters. In generations style. A good chunk of them can even double as RID 2001, BW2, and BWN characters. Can’t wait for the eventual generations deluxe class Quickstrike.
I know this is late but wfc was basically what was out when I got back into transformers after 4 years or so I mean I did get one potp figure but it hit hard when I found out wfc was over but thankfully legacy had been great.
Still no mentions of starscreams grey hip but that ok. Also “BeSt BeAsT MoDe In ThE EnTiRe LiNe” count: 2. Lol anyway nice retrospective and as always ercee shall not be included. I actually like the rattrap I mean sure, it’s inaccurate in beast mode and sure it’s not the right scale but seeing that thing in store along with a whole lotta shelf formers… I fell in love, though in the end I bought core Soundwave instead. Also why can hasbro do at least ONE consistent toyline, like bruh. Though legacy is showing potential, just hope hasbro won’t waste it. And I just love the whole ark transforming scene in the show , the toy for the ark (or jimmy as I for some reason like to call the robot mode) is just *chefs kiss* 👌🏾. I just wish they made a better cliffjumper bc the version shown for like a second in the show looked so refreshingly crisp and clean. I also wish ultra Magnus has a bigger role and survived till at least earthrise kingdom or just appeared as a spark in the end battle against galvatron and nemesis and the spark ghosts just all ran at them two and had a sort of epic battle instead of just vanishing them.
0:37 And it’s not like they ran out of BW characters for the line, they could have given us some of the transmetals, fuzors or even characters that never appeared in the show (like Wolfang). Hell, they should have given us a kingdom BW Inferno since he was recently added to the hall of fame, so they should have done something with him by now, and is the only from the original cast to not have one yet.
If one thing I wish ALL lines would end is clear plastic joints. Windows and cockpits for clear plastic is fine. But using it for joints is something that ruins even the greatest figures
Seen the line in retrospective makes me want to get all bw characters but Scorponok, Rhinox and the cheetor repaints. I now also think about how amazing a Bw exclusive line would have been, maybe Silverbolt to go with Blackarachnia, maybe some toy exclusive characters like Torca, and maybe some BW second and Neo like Magnaboss, Starscream and BB, or Lio convoy and Galvatron (I know they're Bw 2 characters, but I'm in the middle of watching it and I'm hungry for new toys of them)
For a second I thought you were saying you wanted the Scorponok and Rhinox. A BW Exclusive line would have been so cool, we could have gotten all the show characters, and I'd love some toy only guys getting their own figures.
WfC pretty great .Siege was amazing but they made to many figures exclusives (I was able to get skywarp but didn't, idk why maybe cause I never pulled the trigger.) Earthrise was meh nothing popped and was just a worse siege , overprieced and boring. Kingdom was good figures were pretty good, I liked the selection but they left out some great figures.(beast wars inferno).WfC was my first time truly collecting I left in the middle and came back during the end, happy it lasted as long as it did
@@PerspectiveEnd Jup , I never experienced the end of siege and earthrise as a whole. I cameback to transformers exactly as kingdom was announced maybe even a little earlyer.
I haven't collected Transformers in years and I've started again because my brother introduced me to Beast Wars. Ever since then, I've slowly started collecting Beast Wars figures. And I've heard your opinions on Kingdom and Earthrise. Honestly, I kinda like those figures and I'd definitely start my collection with those figures like my brother has. Although figures like Rhinox I wish was better becuase I piss my pants every time I transform his legs. Man they feel fragile and are real hard to get them in their place. Like couldn't there been a better way of doing this or something?!?!
Ok so I'm putting this out there, wfc and its continuation in legacy (over all esthetic being the same) is my favorite transformers toyline. Yes there was some clunkers but really I have enjoyed the trip from siege to now and have gotten a crap load of awesome figures out of it.
I can’t be too harsh to this line, because it returned me to collecting. But it hurts that I needed to wait for legacy to get my favourite character from beast wars tarantulas and not from BW line
Man, it hurts that my Soundwave joints are so crap he cant even stand or having his head on the front cuz it's falling over. Even his shoulder cannon is crap.

I'm pretty sure Legacy is supposed to be another 3 year thing. Hasbro's gotten stuck in a trilogy mindset. I'm pretty sure it's eventually getting fiction, but I'm not sure when.
I've heard/read that Hasbro wanted to have a Transformers: Legacy show (likely as a sequel to the WFC trilogy), but Netflix didn't want to do it.
I think there are at least a few things they could have done.
I subscribed because I feel like Blur is the narrator.
You make this channel fun! thank you for your dedication, and thorough source material.
keep it up!
Thank you.
I try very heard, glad you appreciate that.
Wait what's wrong with Siege Acid Storm?
Almost nothing, I love that toy
As someone who has a wingfinger, I have no idea why it bends reality
Same, it shouldn't be as good as it is, but it's great.
@@PerspectiveEnd it’s honestly my favorite fossilizer
Love the cliffhanger.
On the next episode of PerspectiveEnd, we find out the answer but wait? A new figure might arrive to be reviewed, we'll find out on the next exciting video of Perspective Z.... Erm I mean PerspectiveEnd
PerspectiveEndZ
Who know's maybe I'll cover the store exclusives in the next one.
Definitely a good line, I was kind of annoyed that red alert was so hard to get here in the uk (still waiting to have enough spare to get him)
After missing out on most of siege and earthrise’s dreadful distribution where I am (I literally only ever saw wheeljack and cliffjumper in stores and got ironworks and arcee for Christmas/birthday) this line was a nice change of pace, hopefully they keep it up with how well studio series and a handful of legacy figures have been showing up where I usually get stuff
I think Red Alert is the only one I don't have.
I will miss kingdom.
Kingdom holds a special place in my heart since its what got me back me back into collecting and its definitely become one of my favorite toy line, the highlights for me being warpath and galvatron those two figures are great
They are both great, it's just sad that it came at the expense of line Cohesion.
Titan class ark is more or less a place were you can grab the core classes- screamer, meg's, prime, soundwave, and have fun with them at that scale
Exactly, that's what I have him displayed for.
I throughly enjoyed kingdom. I have I belive a majority of the figures, and I don't have problems with most of them. Yes it was a mixed bag of characters, but it was really fun and allowed me to fill a lot of gaps in my newly started collection. Another good video PE. Keep it up
Thank you so much, I think I might have every last TRUE Kingdom figure.
Kingdom was an amazing toy line despite it being heavily infested with G1, like other lines! It gave me figures of BW characters I thought that I’d never own, glad that had the opportunity. Legacy has done similar to me as well, can’t wait for future figures!
Kingdom was truly special, sad to see it over.
honestly for me, I feel like hasbro should reused the blaster mold to make a new soundwave
I don't know that that would work the best, since his legs are too big, but they would have worked out better than the Netflix version.
6:40 This honestly changed the entire vibe of this figure for me, looks great
Yeah, Gives him just a bit of his waist back.
I love how there is just ONE character who was completely disrespected to the point where everyone knows what you are talking about.
Love that Megatron. He's so good. And yeah Kingdom felt really special.
This 14 minute video flew right by. It's also an excellent rundown of the Kingdom line.
(And for my interactions with everything else (modern) as a whole:
Studio Series: ROTF Megatron, ROTF Starscream, BB Optimus Prime, VW Bumblebee, Dropkick (helicopter), Shatter (car), DOTM Shockwave, DOTM Thundercracker, 86 Hot Rod, (Sideways?, DOTM Bumblebee?, 86 Arcee?), Cogman
Siege: Ultra Magnus, Springer, Apeface, Barricade, Flywheels/Skytread, Red Wing, Rainmakers (Acid Storm, Ion Storm, Nova Storm), Hotlink (Heatstroke, Heartburn)
Earthrise: Optimus Prime, Arcee, Doubledealer, Snapdragon, Exhaust, Bug Bite, Soundbarrier, Smashdown, Dominus Criminal Pursuit (Barricade, Punch-Counterpunch)
Kingdom: Vertebreak, Ractonite, Paleotrex, Blackarachnia, Warpath, Wheeljack, Sparkless Seeker (Singe, Caliburst), (Gen Selects Galvatron)
Power of the Primes: Punch-Counterpunch, Dreadwind, Blackwing, Battletrap (Battleslash/Roadtrap), Cindersaur, Megatronus/Bomb-Burst, Solus Prime/Octopunch, Quintus Prime/Bludgeon, Jazz, Moonracer, Beachcomber, Windcharger, Inferno, Elita-1, Rodimus Unicronus/Nem-Rod, Nemesis Prime/Nemesis Pax (Giza)
Other: Legacy (Prime) Arcee II, Transformers Tribute Bumblebee 3-pack, AOE Bumblebee with Strafe vs Decepticon Stinger
And yeah, I'll have to edit this later if I recall anything else I got in these recent years.)
You haven't gotten a hold of any of them so far? Sorry to hear that.
@@PerspectiveEnd (And again, I have seen Siege Jetfire, Kingdom Beast Megatron, Kingdom Optimus Primal, Kingdom Cheetor, Core Optimus Prime, Core Rattrap, and Core Starscream on my store shelves. And if I had (all) the power to do so, I would have have them.)
(And do you know what I mean about the Legacy Fossilizer Wreckers, and my inability to obtain Wingfinger?)
It's nice to have gotten them at all, it's just weird what happened.
I actually like blaster a lot more now, I took off his head and replaced it with siege crosshairs and OH MY GOD I LOVE IT. He looks like a weird alternate reality soundwave and I am all for it.
What caused you to do that?
I just really don’t like blasters head and since my crosshairs broke I decided to salvage the head and use it on blaster.
Kingdom was the breath of fresh air I needed to get back into collecting. Year after year it’s always the same G1 stuff and it’s just so uninteresting to me.
Totally get it. Kingdom felt different and interesting.
At least if they are the worst of the Kingdom line, it was overall a success, for me it was. lol
You're welcome! Cheers.
This is a great summary of the line. Looking forward to seeing your overall thoughts on Legacy once it's done.
Thank you very much glad so many people liked this one.
Perhaps. Maybe we will see in my next video.
Ooooh to be continued!! Definitely want to hear your theories!
Yeah, this had to be broken up, though I think it leaves this video a little wanting.
@@PerspectiveEnd It was still a good video. We’re you planning on including the exclusives?
Definitely some stunners and stinkers in the line, in at times equal measure.
I would flying suplex a robot for an IDW inspired remold of Cyclonus though, hands down.
I just wish the add-on kits to diy weren't piecemeal in three batches and still lacking the samurai-esque thigh guards.
WHY IS NO ONE DOING THAT!
At best even the 3P companies are just including a new head and calling it a day.
Glad you enjoyed this one so much. Honestly I felt like this one was worse than almost all my other Retrospectives.
I got to say I loved kingdom still do even their exclusives I have all of kingdom and I'm glad that kingdom was my first toyline to complete
I originally completed the first Beast Wars line, but those figures have all disappeared over the years, but Kingdom is my second complete line.
I see you know the pain of losing paleotrex's tail as well.
Thank you so much. I thought Quebec was fully bilingual, are there really areas of it where English just isn't taught?
Friday my dude.
This video has resparked my interest in 3d printed a redesigned rumble and frenzy. Where they turn into revolvers instead of cassettes
And what about this caused that?
@@PerspectiveEnd a reminder of transformers. I’m currently mainly building gundam model kits now.
I know exactly what you were talking about. I was salivating over every 3D render of a Siege Reveal they did, each one looking so cool and new.
Love these videos, can’t wait for when legacy wraps up (prolly after 2 years for the upcoming 40th anniversary) to see the next retrospective
I don't know that Legacy is going to go for multiple years at this point but we will see.
@@PerspectiveEnd me neither, but something tells me that next years line might jus be legacy adjacent
In my Blackarachnia I noticed that that post on the chest that many reported as fragile was shorter than in other copies, perhaps to solve that post breaking they decided to make it shorter in later copies. I got my Blackarachnia when wave 3 was coming out
I have heard they did a change to prevent it from breaking, though I don't know what that entails for sure.
I love the fact that the BW characters are based on realistic animals, I love the original beast modes from the show but I can’t help but prefer the new kingdom alt modes
I'd be down for this if they were just Accurate for once ever, cause the OG toys weren't, and now these aren't.
@@PerspectiveEnd well they are accurate to the real life animals and I think for some characters it’s a mix of the cartoon design and toy design
Making a key BW Season 1 character an online exclusive over a Japan-only BW repaint of Cheetor is such an Earthrise thing to do.
This is true.
11:44 Waspinator is a LOT shorter than Dinobot. He's like chest height at most.
A while ago, Netflix turned down a Legacy series. This confirms its existence, so I think that it is possible that Galvatron and Nemesis prime were reformatted in to Galvatron II, and Nemesis into RID Scourge.
Hopefully that means someone competent will pick it up and we will finally get something good.
It hurts when he shows a figure I like and says “ it’s not bad but..” 😂
Well it's not bad. It just lacks real reasons to Recommended it to everyone. It of course can have niche appeal.
This was a great video! Even though it wasn’t that long ago it made me feel nostalgic lol. Also it’s sad the show turned out to be so bad. Kingdom R.I.P. - you tried and failed but you will be missed.
I don't know that it turned out bad but it needed work.
I still think you G1 fans owe us Beast Wars fans an apology.
A 2 PARTER?! Aaaaah... Then my thought on Kingdom will be in the next video comment section as well.
I'll be happy to see you there too.
The only way I'm going to display my ark is with a chef's hat , mustach, and a text bubble saying "MAMA MIA!!!!" Because I made a joke to myself that he turned into a hollow deep dish pizza
Man you just explained it to me, and the joke is still going over my head.
@@PerspectiveEnd I'm more or less referencing the way his hands can move into a stereotypical Italian hand gesture and also very large pieces of pizza
Ahhh! Now I get it.
The cohesive part 3 line that Kingdom never was I dub the Rebirth line. If the Studio Series 86 figures were never welcomed into that line and instead found their home in WFT 3.
I feel you with that.
These types of line recaps are great!
Thank you. It was a lot of work.
Glad to hear you don't have a problem with them.
And yeah I heard that, sometimes you just need new shelving for your displays.
@@PerspectiveEnd it's not for display. It's for safety. I don't want my Hot Rod to loose 2/8 of the things that make him a Voyager.
4:01 Ferak is tied with 86 Bumblebee for my favorite figure I got this year so far
I am glad we got kingdom because my beast wars shelf was looking really sad just wish they were more accurate
I'm Happy to have gotten it, just wish it could have been more.
It started good then went off a Cliff while on fire and I regret not getting the Dinobot
That's a bit more violent then I'd describe it but you aren't wrong.
But you just said you didn't like the Downsized characters then you immediately tell me you liked Soundwave.
What do you mean Legacy is Among us.
Can I just say that the thumbnail is beautiful
Thank you very much. I felt VERY inspired when I realized what I had to do for it.
It definitely is a better cap to a trilogy than PotP. That one felt like they had given up and just pumped out more CW with a few new molds.
I thought PotP was Ok, but it definitely had no idea what it was trying to be.
Low-key I would've liked to hear the "Snyder Cut" of this video
- Cyclonus 🤣
What about Cyclonus?
And I mean I will be making a second half of this video so just combine the two and that's the full cut.
They really should’ve put scorponoks tail at the top of its back instead of by the waist. It just seems like it’d be a much better toy
There are many ways to make that a better figure, the most useful of which being to make it nothing like it self.
I'm not sure what you mean by load bearers.
@@PerspectiveEnd A Transformer like Ultra Magnus whose spark is well suited to augmentation. So instead of Slammer's torso being nothing but an adapter piece once you steal his arms and legs, you'd transform it into a smaller robot mode.
I couldn't agree with you more about the Kingdom line. It's weird and all over the place.
For a while I was very mad at it for having lost it's way so hard but my final theory really chilled me out to it.
What a wacky toyline this was, and I missed out on most of it due to Hasbro's crappy distribution. Thanksss!
Yeah they are pretty terrible.
@@PerspectiveEnd At least I managed to pick up some of the BW characters, they're good.
Kingdom blaster is one of the best figures of the WFC.
Indeed it is.
What about the Beast Megatron.
I would tend to agree that those G1 figures you listed were some of the line's absolute best.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah beast megs is great don’t get me wrong but the fragility and wired plastics on top of a lack in accessories brings it down for me while the other three hit all the right marks for me
Thoughts on some figures in Kingdom
Rattrap and Dinobot : The first two I bought because I couldn't wait any longer for lock down to end to get the figures. Still two of my favorites despite the flaws. Also, one of the only Core Class released here
The Ark : Never planned on getting this until I got it for Christmas. While the ship mode is the best mode, I still don't mind the robot mode all that much
BW Megatron : YESSSS! Got a later copy and I cant stop playing with it. Transforming it or posing it in both modes. Amazing!
Scorpinok : Not as bad as I thought, but not great. I dont mind the new robot mode, but I wish I waited for Sandstorm
Blaster : Still weird he Beat Soundwave as a figure for once. Wish more cassettes came out
Airrazor and Tigatron : All round good figures, but only bought them so Tigatron could hold Airrasor on one arm as they fire at enemies. I am sure it would be the other way round and if I remember, You said you did it with an Arcee and Springer?
Honestly, Kingdom is a good line. Wish there was more beast wars in it, but maybe Now hasbro will start adding more beasts into lines now they know we want the beasties
You bought the Besties Together. Cuet.
BW Megatron Rules, people still fight me about him being the best of Wave 1.
Kingdom deserved more BW Stuff.
@@PerspectiveEndI got the late wave one, so thankfully it has stronger plastic
wouldn't mind more obscure characters in the line.
Nice video, also that is a really cool thumbnail.
Thank you very much, the part of this I'm most proud of is the Thumbnail.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah it's pretty cool.
I do like the idea that primal killed paleotrex and uses his head for a weapon
It seems a little out of character to me.
Heh, even though it's just a minor issue, I'm glad blackarachnia didn't snap at that breast tab, even though I've converted her at least 20 times. I think someone said they changed something about that tab, so it wouldn't snap, but I'm not sure
Is it paper thin? Cause if not they changed it.
@@PerspectiveEnd i think it's thicker
I like how you didnt even finish tracks transformation
I did off camera, after he broke my light box. Rip Light Box you've been with me since the start of my channel.
Next year:
Legacy: A Mixed Toyline
So far that does not seem to be the case.
This line tried. It couldn't beat the greatness of Seige, but it actually came close for me. Most of the figures are good, and I'll miss the WFC line.
Yeah, Siege was Consistantly Fantastic, this had more Amazing figures, but also more TERRIBLE ones.
With Waspinator, I think Hasbro & Takara dropped the ball, they should of made him a weaponzier, so that we can recreate some of the scenes where he blown to bits and has to put himself back together!
That's what I've been saying since he was announced.
I don’t think he should’ve been simply because his transformation doesn’t typically partsform besides the gun
Kingdom in a nutshell
It’s evolving backwards
I said that Didn't I at some point?
Kingdom will be missed
It will.
I got the kingdom Red alert and…………. AMAZING, yeah it might seem average, it’s soooo fun, the colors are awesome, the feel is really good, not siege Optimus or ROTF Megatron, but it feels great. And the transformation is fun. I did not have to use the instructions as, well I could clearly tell how it was done, but it is fun
That’s all I can say about the figure, it’s fun
Red Alert's Colors are a sleeper hit. They are so tasty, and you don't really think of them like that before you get him.
@@PerspectiveEnd definitely, in first glance red and white does not look appealing, until you get it
When this line was announced I was like BEAST WARDSAsS and now I still like it but I only got one figure was dinobot the others were just a little bit overpriced
What is Wardass?
That thumbnail looks great
It's the thing I'm most proud of with the whole episode.
I'm glad this one meant so much to you. It's quite good, I just think there were a few flaws with it, but I love it so much.
Awesome videos pal! Its like bacon to my eggs! LOL!
Thank you!
I hope that eventually, just like with g1, we will get all the BW characters. In generations style. A good chunk of them can even double as RID 2001, BW2, and BWN characters. Can’t wait for the eventual generations deluxe class Quickstrike.
I swear they better do the Transmetals eventually.
I know this is late but wfc was basically what was out when I got back into transformers after 4 years or so I mean I did get one potp figure but it hit hard when I found out wfc was over but thankfully legacy had been great.
That was a pretty good time to come back into the fandom.
What what is this about them making a better Cliffjumper?
@@PerspectiveEnd ye impossible I know, but it’s nice to dream *sigh*
0:37 And it’s not like they ran out of BW characters for the line, they could have given us some of the transmetals, fuzors or even characters that never appeared in the show (like Wolfang). Hell, they should have given us a kingdom BW Inferno since he was recently added to the hall of fame, so they should have done something with him by now, and is the only from the original cast to not have one yet.
Yeah there were a million and one things they could have done that they just chose not to do.
the retrospect is back!!! even if it was for a little
I mean this is my largest Retrospective ever.
If one thing I wish ALL lines would end is clear plastic joints. Windows and cockpits for clear plastic is fine. But using it for joints is something that ruins even the greatest figures
Yeah that's an amazingly bad idea for them to keep pulling.
That's an awesome thumbnail
Thank you very much, it took me like 2 hours to figure out what to do with it, but by the end I was VERY proud of it.
Scorponok is actually really good IMO
Now let's see who WFC Kingdom really is.
(rips off mask)
EARTHRISE ACT 2
Lol.
I only have 4 kingdom figures: Optimus primal, BW megatron, core class megatron, and ultra magnus.
That's a solid line up of most of the better figures.
This guy almost made history doing a war crime because of a plastic crack called waspinator
What?
WfC pretty great .Siege was amazing but they made to many figures exclusives (I was able to get skywarp but didn't, idk why maybe cause I never pulled the trigger.) Earthrise was meh nothing popped and was just a worse siege , overprieced and boring. Kingdom was good figures were pretty good, I liked the selection but they left out some great figures.(beast wars inferno).WfC was my first time truly collecting I left in the middle and came back during the end, happy it lasted as long as it did
Man if you think siege had too many exclusives. Remember earthrise?
The WFC was a great time to be a collector. It's safe to say that Kingdom had some of the highest highs and lowest lows in the whole Trilogy.
@@joshuavis2736 I choose not to.
@@davidlebner9106 lol yea good choice
Hey! Nice! I love to hear someone getting into Beast Wars. I love that show so much.
And yeah I hate that Rhinox's legs. They are just a nightmare.
The had rise of the beasts coming out. Hence the holding back on realistic beast alts
I mean rise of the beasts isn't exactly having a realistic beast modes?
Sadly, when it comes to these toys, I was 30 cents short on BW Megatron, and regret it so much
That blows dude. Sorry to hear that.
Ok so I'm putting this out there, wfc and its continuation in legacy (over all esthetic being the same) is my favorite transformers toyline. Yes there was some clunkers but really I have enjoyed the trip from siege to now and have gotten a crap load of awesome figures out of it.
The WFC is clearly the BEST toyline in TF History.
@@PerspectiveEnd agreed
I can’t be too harsh to this line, because it returned me to collecting. But it hurts that I needed to wait for legacy to get my favourite character from beast wars tarantulas and not from BW line
Yeah, all the Season 1 characters should have been in kingdom.
Man, it hurts that my Soundwave joints are so crap he cant even stand or having his head on the front cuz it's falling over. Even his shoulder cannon is crap.
Your Kingdom Soundwave has tolerances that bad? Man that sucks sorry to hear that.
