1. Insert a new cut key in ignition and turn key to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
2. Within 45 seconds turn the key to OFF and then back to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
3. Within 45 seconds turn the key to OFF and then back to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
4. Turn key OFF then back ON. The key is now programmed. Start vehicle to test key.
This procedure will program a new transponder ignition key to following years of Chevrolet Impala 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

Saved me from having to make appointment at dealer and getting charged apprx 100 to 150 dollars to have the key programmed. Which already just paid them 52 dollars for the key.

To program a another or Multiple keys. All you have to do is put the Factory/ Original key. Into the Indignition. Turn the key 3 times into the run Position not the start. Then remove that key, Put in the key you would like to program, Turn it 3 times the run position. Then turn it off and try to start it

Have a 2008 Impala ss. I purchased a spare key a few years ago. Had the key cut and I programed the key myself via a youtube clip and it works fine still. Fast forward to today. The original key that came with the car won't start the car. The security icon illuminates but the starter won't engage when the key is cranked forward....
Does you spare key work fine with the vehicle?

This procedure could reprogram it but keys should not unprogram for no reason so you may have other issues
Can’t believe I just paid the Chevy dealership $50 for the “code” when it was here for free. 😂😂😂. The main reason I don’t like going to them and learn from YT university

My 2013 Impala was stolen and recovered. Can I use this procedure to erase and reprogram my old keys where the old key the thief may have won't work in my car/ Or do I need to buy one blank and program it first, then reprogram my remaining old keys
Yes, you can use this to reprogram an old key which will erase all the others Once you have one the once of the old keys re-programmed then you can use the "add a key" procedure in the description box of this video to add any others

Unfortunatly mine would not turn at all it is the straight key so now I have to pay for it to be done I wish they would just make the notches in the key and then let me program it but when I ask they said no because they garaunteed there keys to work

My mother has a 2007 Impala and she has lost all the keys. If I follow this procedure with a GM shop-cut key, will this procedure work for her? Do the remote key fobs have to be reprogrammed after the key programming?
I noticed in your other comment that this is for a Canadian vehicle - the procedure shown in this video will not work on Canadian vehicles

I believe on the Canadian vehicles you need two working keys in order to be able to add an additional key yourself - otherwise you will need a locksmith or automotive dealership
@@PYR-Auto Does that mean Canadian made vehicles are safer than that of the States? Unfortunately my locksmith failed today even with two keys cut out. He suggested me to go to dealership 😫

HELP!!! I have a 2006 chevy impala ss and was given one set of keys at time of purchase (4 weeks ago). I then purchased another set of keys from Amazon that included a blank key ready to be cute and the remote which I already programed to my car.
Today I decided to go get the blank key cut to make another set of working keys. I took the blank key along with my original key and asked them to cut it. The walmart employee started to try each key hole on the machine and says the key is too long. I showed her that the keys were the same length and one had to be cut. Couple minutes later she says I needed to have something else besides the original key. She said I needed something that came with the original keys so she can scan it or something??. Idk it was so confusing. Help.
It sounds like the employee did not know what they were doing but its possible their machine my not be able to cut all keys. You should not need anything other than an existing key to duplicate it.

I saw you mention canadian vehicles are different?? You mean vehicles made in canada that were sold in the states or vehicles that were sold in canada??

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

If you followed the procedure closely there may be an issue with the key you are using.
My impala 2008 LT doesn't want to man.

🤣🤣 I can't even get a key I lost mine they are telling me I need to provide ownership to the car yeah I can but I'm locked out of the car oh but only way they can help me is I need to drive to them with a key that works with the car I'm locked out of 😑😑 great help
