After watching this i nipped down to Halfords and bought a can of camo green because im building a P-51D Mustang that I want to do with the invasion stripes. I sprayed a quick coat onto a wing from another plane that I use for trying out techniques on. It turned out pretty good. I've also got a 1/48 Mosquito that i don't really want to brush paint, so I'll probably use Halfords paints for that as well.
Their grey primer is a good colour match for NATO camo grey and air defence overall grey schemes and their white primer is great for antiflash white on the V Bombers or white on commercial jets. Both take gloss or matt lacquer as well as Johnson floor polish.
always new the halfords primer was good but its nice to know the paint and varnish are ok for models certainly a good idea for the big kits that take up lots of paint good detailed video pal and i enkoyed it

Ah cool. Yeah as long as you don’t spray too heavily, they are fine for covering large areas.

Yeah I use both extensively. Really nice finish too.
Might try this with model cars as it can be difficult to get a good gloss shine on the paint finish
Yeah there’s definitely more expensive ways, like Gravity 2K and stuff like that. But this was just a few thin coats and it finished really nice.

Cheers mate.
Yeah just seems a better plan that airbrushing, even with a bigger needle. I’ll see how the Valiant turns out.
Good results from halfords spray paint
Thank you mate. It’s come out really well.
