Hey Mark! Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon came out yesterday, we eagerly await your review.
Level 1 has one of my favorite SNES tracks. I really liked the music in this one.

Just picked up this game today. I remembered it from back in the 90s and found it at a local game store (Buy It Trade It Games in Clintonville OH). It was missing the label but the name was on the price sticker. I got into a conversation with the clerk who really loved the game back in the day.
So because it was missing the label he sold it to me for $4.99 instead of the listed $9.99. Thank you, clerk!

I absolutely love this game but I'm terrible at shooters and can't make it far in it at all but i can't deny that it's a great fun shooter. ☺️
"Do you like death? Then DIE!" is the best line evar.
I wish i could find this game's soundtrack. This was the 3rd game i ever played on the SNES. And it had some of the best music ever. Especially the boss music!

I didn't get very far on this game back in the 90s, but I remember the music was awesome and the weapon choice. So bummed that my friend's family last year sold all of my super nintendo games other than Earthbound and Super Noah's Ark 3D in a yard sales :(. All my megman games too.
that sucks... I once lent a friend my gameboy with all my gameboy games. he apparently moved away the next day and I never saw that collection again.
lesson learned: don't lend friends your games. ever. Unless you really hate the game in question (and equally hate your 'friend' like-wise).

anybody remember a street fighter adventure game? you played as three characters, and there was a jester boss, cant remember, it was for the snes too

This was my very first game in the genre. Funny how now I can blaze through insane Cave shooters like DoDonPachi and Guwange but back then I just could not handle this one.
There's also an arcade version of this that's really bad because the sprites are way too big and you only get 4 weapons to pick.
Finally this game gets reviewed! I remember getting this when it came out!

Nice looking parallax scrolling with those clouds. I see it has some of that early SNES slowdown when the action starts picking up.

I "think" this is a game I haven't played for so long, that I barely remember it. All I literally faintly remember is the 1st level being in the cloud & the hero ship (XA-1...?) floating destroying in space or above a city at the game's ending...

@oriam2343 Final Fight ? It's a beat em up witch was intended to be the sequel to the 1st Street fighter, but it was too different, it might be the game you're looking for.
@oriam2343 Chun lee was in the game, but not as a playable character, she's in the background of a level.
You should check out the AVGN's review about Street fighter 2010, I think he's talking about it in the end of the video.
Like most Snes shooters, prepare for lots of slowdown.

im 13 and i collect nintendo gamesand other oldschool gaming systems.
I found the S-Laser to be a great weapon, and the Atomic is excfellent if you know how to get the most out of it. It's all about timing.
I knew of THIS EDF and when I heard "Earth Defense Force coming soon!" I couldn't believe it was real! But it wasn't :(
Wish this game had a sequel. It is one of my favorite shoot-em-ups of all time.
