    This video helped me so much. Thank you. I already own the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 and was thinking of the 15-35 but now, I know that the 24-70mm is going to fit my needs better than buying around expensive lens.

    Excellent video! To the point, with no annoying ads or plugs. No minute and a half "cool" B-roll with lo-fi music and redundant Vlogging just to hit the 10:01 mark. I get so tired of having to watch 14 minute videos to get 7 minutes of information.
    You explain things clearly and the quality was great. Not sure where the dislikes are coming from! Subscribed.

      You have to remember that nothing is free and everything is measured with a cost to produce and make it available. Pay and those ads will be gone. Compromise is the name!

    Thanks for this vid, appreciated your clear explanation. I'm using 24-70 for versatility and cover wide with a 16mm 1.4 prime. Had been thinking of the 16-35 instead, but watching this still think i have it mostly covered and might just go for a longer prime for really tight head shots or getting in close as a second angle / body in interview, maybe 85 or even 135mm ? Interested to hear your thoughts.

    • @mohdvideos1
      @mohdvideos1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      having the same setup, i tried the 135 and the faces look more wider from the middle but the 85 is better in my opinion adding that it needs less space to frame with it

    ****PLEASE READ****Could someone answer this for me. When comparing the sony fe 16-35mm f/2.8 gm lens vs 24-70mm f/2.8 gm lens, is there a difference between the 24mm to 35mm on either lens? Could I choose either lens for its 35mm and there be no difference? Thank you.

    • @UglyMcGregor
      @UglyMcGregor 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Some times, yes. For example, I used the Sony 16-35mm and Sony 24-70mm 2.8 with the Sony A7R4 (for photos mind), however, as the 24-70mm was an older engineered lens, the quality of the sensor far exceeded the glass and it corner sharpness was not that great in some circumstances. Whereas the 24-35mm on the 16-35 was sharper. However, perhaps using a better 24-70 for the A7R4, like the Sigma 24-70, image quality may be equal, but I didn't get around to purchasing Sigma's new 24-70mm.

  • @cjonwickham1933
    @cjonwickham1933 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like canon 16-35f4 is or tamron 10-24(crop camera ef mount) for landscape , 24-104f4 is for most things, and 70-200f4 is 70-300 ef is zoom, 150-500/150-600 wildlife, 18-400 travel. 24/35/50/85 are nice primes but unnecessary when zooms better and require more work and move around.

    Is 24 mm wide enough for real estate shots?

    • @bushboxer
      @bushboxer ปีที่แล้ว

      If one has to you can use it, but preferably you need wider than that. 16mm is pretty good.

    • @Narsuitus
      @Narsuitus 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At one time, 24mm😅 was my widest focal length on a full-frame camera. For real-estate, I occasionally needed something wider. The 18mm with a 90 degree horizontal angle-of-view gave me what I needed.
      Now, a 14mm f/2.8 prime and a 14-24mm f/2.8 zoom are my widest wide-angle lenses.

    • @UglyMcGregor
      @UglyMcGregor 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ah, so if you're talking about the Sigma 18-35mm, that's because it's APS-C lens. So the 18-35mm has an equivalent range of around 28-55mm.

  • @specialized41
    @specialized41 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Ridiculous comparison, every lens have a specific use. You can compare Sony 16-35 vs Tamron 17-28mm , but no two totally different lenses. You comparison is as ridiculous like compare a Porsche 911 vs Toyota Corolla.

    • @hellolau
      @hellolau 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well said 👍

    • @TerraThink
      @TerraThink 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      The comparison makes sense because A) This question comes up a lot since it's about deciding which tool is best for the job at hand. That's not always obvious, especially if you're not that experienced with focal lengths. B) They overlap at 24-35mm C) People might not know if they prefer to sacrifice 8-9mm on the wide end or 35mm on the long end.

    • @Reviews4fun1
