Awesome video. I’m watching all your wide angle videos while waiting for my 16-35mm to arrive today. So excited to get outside and try some of these ideas out.
Mads I want to let you know how much I appreciate all you do. You are such an inspiration to me as a photographer. I have a hard time taking in technical information and retaining it. But looking at your passion gives me hope to continue with my passion of photography. So again I thank you so much.
Thank you so much. I am a beginner photographer who wants to photograph landscapes and nature in relatively low light. I have been confused about which WA lens to choose, and this video has helped me towards making my decision - and making great photos.
You are an extremely inciteful photographer. You are much more interesting to listen to than most other photography instructors simply because you are so intuitive to the desires and needs of your viewers.
I thought I knew how to use a wide angle - I didn't! Thank you so much for this - I learnt so much from it, more than any single video I've watched in the last 2 years. Your photos are excellent and it really feels like you understand and can communicate composition. I've subscribed and will watch more. Brilliant video Mads and you're an excellent communicator - thank you, I am looking at all your videos as a very late Christmas present that will keep me occupied for some time.
Wauw! Your work is amazing! I'm going back to Iceland in September and really looking forward to practice my landscape photography there. This video was already a huge inspiration. Thank you so much for the tips!
Very impressed with stunning photographs, and some very useful insight into the reasons for taking them. As a keen 16 - 35 user, I have learnt some additional tips to improve my landscapes. Very well done and many thanks!!
Sound advice Mads I've only just recently purchased my 10-24 for Fuji so I've saved this for future reference. Wonderful images throughout that have given me some thought how I can get the best out of my new lens. Thanks for sharing buddy!
I have been watching your videos non stop as my trip to Iceland is nearing by! I hope to put all the learning to test this trip with wide angle lens and composition. Thank you!
Those pictures just blew me away. I do photography as a hobby but you instill me to become a full time photographer. Thank you so much. I learned a lot.
The diversity of your images Mads is as always, breathtaking and beautiful that always leave a feeling of emotion when you look at them. Will soon be buying the 16-35mm to give a full range up to 200mm and your educational input is very much welcomed.
How do you do it Mads ...... you find always new thing to teach us ... even on topics the most people thinks they already know everything about. In a few week i go to the Faroe Islands and try to put your info about 16-35 and 70-200 in practice (with your videos on my phone as a reminder ;) ). Thank you very much Mads ! Enjoyed your stunning pictures !!!!
Hi Mads thanks for your generosity. I appreciate your demonstration of your personal aesthetic with the tools of modern digital photography. I am also impressed by your atmospheric northern climate locations.
Thank you, Mads, or another wide angle instructional video. We are fortunate to have You Tube so that I can watch these videos over and over again, until it all sinks in! I am going to buy a photo, but it is hard to choose with so many beautiful ones!
Wow . . . just wow . . . unbelievable images, and wonderful tutorial. You are truly blessed. I purchased a 24-105G per your recommendation and LOVE it. My next purchase will be the 16-35GM inspired by you. Thank you for sharing your wonderful craft !
Thanks Mads, very useful tips, especially now that I finally got my 17-35mm f/2.8; one lens I've been missing in my kit. Until now, I had to do two images panos to compensate the lack of a true wide angle lens. Needless to say, a less than ideal workaround for many reasons, not only because sometimes the merging doesn't quite work well enough in post, but also, if you have movement in the scene, such as water, clouds, etc, and the extra time in setting up multiple shots just to obtain one image. As always, well explained and... yes, the passion you share and convey about photography in your videos. Thanks again!
Amazing photos....! Such wonderful compositions! You truly have an eye for beauty. I just got for my nikon d850 the 16 to 35 mm... So I'm happy to have found your videos... Gave me an idea on how to use my camera. Take care!
Hi again Mads! I continue to come back to your videos on composition and photography in general as I like the way you present ideas, and your photos are so "epic"! LOL! Thanks for sharing all this valuable information, and keep it coming! Hi from British Columbia, Canada!
@@MadsPeterIversen You are correct about being lucky living in BC! Being a full time teacher restricts my travels right now especially with Covid-19, but I plan on visiting the Rockies in the near future as I am retiring in about 1.5 years! Hey, you can always come to visit! It would be awesome to get out with you and do some photography! Take care Mads.
Just bought a Sony 16-35 f4 - my first wide angle lens and wasn’t sure if I made a mistake but your video convinced me to keep it ! Your photos are amazing and inspirational. Thank you, Steve
Greetings: I am amazed by his master's degree on wide angle objectives, I am an amateur photographer and I am very fan of his videos, they are very spectacular, when I wish I could have him as a teacher on the spot, it hurts that time has passed to be able to practice, He is a great professional.
I have been enjoying your videos and composition content as I attempt to improve my skills. After a few months of contemplation, my first wide purchase (15-35 f2.8) should arrive later this week. Thank you for sharing your professional knowledge and beautiful photos.
Nice video. I always struggle with my ultrawides, as much fun as they can be. I appreciate these videos to give me ideas on how I can use the lens. Now to get out an practice with it.
I was wondering how do you travel with your tripod ? Do you have a short less sturdy one that fits in your backpack for travel or do you put it in your suitcase?
Hi Mads. This lens has been at the top of my next to purchase list for several months now. The last two videos have served to increase my sense of urgency to complete the purchase exponentially. Very well done tutorial, as always I have learned a great deal. Many thanks for sharing! Hoping to see a calendar announcement soon. Cheers from BC

Dear Mads, thank you for this entertaining and informative video. I bought the 16-35mm some bevore the pandemic for 400€ only. In general I experienced a sweet spot at approx f8 to f11. May be I am a typical German. Pedantic up to the corners. At 100% the pics are ok but when I magnify up my files to 400% I allways think it could be sharper. Tripod, D800E, 16-35mm and capble exposure. Am I to critical ?
Hi Steve I was about to gave up with my Sony 16 35, but the images you are getting from it are inspiring, would you throw me an advice? How can I get rid of the distortion I always having, my images pretty came out curved, thanks a lot
