    Alex S. here. Thank you so much, Bob, for posting this. This was the first benzo video I have seen since finally coming out of that garbage, and I have to say I cried quite a bit knowing, well, it's my own story. Everyone, listen to this man: it DOES heal. When you are in that hell, every minute is a decade, I know, but it does go away. GABA mechanisms just take a long time to regain homeostasis. The nerves take the longest to heal. Take this opportunity to be healthy. Check your vit D levels. Eat lots of good vegetables, do your own juicing, stay away from sugar and empty carbs, etc. I gave my body all the help I possibly could, and in the long run I believed it did help. Do everything you possibly can to have a chance.
    I eventually did resign my job during the withdrawal, and upon getting it back after healing, I had a major PTSD reaction to the environment and could not work there. I know how bad this withdrawal is, believe me. But it goes away.

      @FUBAR I PROMISE you, it ends! Oh my Lord when it ended how I regretted ever considering the escape you're talking about. I know those thoughts, man. I had them every day, all day long. Life is beautiful on the other side, and when you hear people complaining about this ache or that problem, you feel pride and accomplishment they will never know, because you luterally went through HELL and lived. I went to Red River Health and signed up with their program when I was in the shit last year, and if I hadn't, I might not have made it. Look them up. They change your diet completely and your way of thinking about health, and it takes just enough load off the body to make the withdrawal bearable. Any help you get your body at this point is critical. Zinc and magnesium as well as vitamin D helped me as well, but B vitamins revved my anxiety up. I also noticed MSG was a NO NO. I'm sure you know that, but I just want you to get through this. Please consider Red River Health, they have a website, as their diet and program detoxes the body and takes inflammation down, which for me was enough to make it survivable. It DOES end. You need to stay put right here so that when you do heal, you can testify to someone else who will eventually and unfortunately need it.

      @@thefaith946 It healed slowly. The first six months was hell on earth, then the windows and eaves started, with waves lasting weeks and windows a couple hours. Eventually they equalled out, then windows slowly became the norm. It has now been 17 months, and I am normal. The culprit was Ativan, 14 pills over the course of a month. 14 pills, and I had the average length withdrawal for those using it much longer. Benzos are garbage and should be banned. Stay strong, and it does end. Consider Red River Health. They have a diet program and monitor your nutrition and physiology to get you absolutely gealthy as this earth intended, which for me translated into lessened severity of symptoms. I also did a mercury and metals detox diet, which lessened inflammation in my body, and as we know, we need every little bit of help we can. I thought, since I can't directly heal the GABA receptors, as that is the body's job, I can make it feel better in other ways to give it a fighting chance. Stay strong.

    I had undiagnosed Lyme disease and Mold Illness(CIRS) that was exacerbated by Phenibut withdrawal. Your videos were so comforting to me and still are. That was 3 years ago, I'm 80% better now, but I will NEVER forget that 5-6 month period where i was in a constant panic. We all need hope.
    I keep thinking it's over and it comes back.
    I used for a month and still here after 21 months. I cold turkeyed.
    The waves are milder but still horrible and scary. I thought coming off antidepressants was bad but there's no comparison!! This is HELL.
    For anyone tempted to use this POISON don't do it, EVER!!
    For me, the dark depression has more or less gone. Anxiety usually just mornings but it varies.
    Over the last 21 months I've had about 40 plus symptoms. I'm now left with about 10 and usually have clusters of 5 or 6 symptoms at a time.
    Symptoms eased a little since giving up the caffeine and most artificial sugar but it's still hard.
    I want my life back . I've paid my price 😢😢😢😢

    I have been addicted to benzos for a decade and just nearing the end of a. 6 month clinical detox. I have had 2 grand mal seizures, lost my memory,ruined my academic career and business from benzos, and had times when I thought I might be dead by now. I never thought I would get off these but it is possible with help. It still will take time even after withdrawal but I just think I'm so much better off them than on. Hang in there people you can get through it. Three zips:
    1. Do not take Xanax daily for long term anxiety or any benzo but particularly Xanax and short-acting benzos they are the worse for tolerance and addiction. Everyone thinks they won't get addicted but if you have any long term anxiety or other issues you almost certainly will. The short term benefit is not worth the long term cost.
    2. Don't stop cold turkey or try to ween yourself off. It can be very dangerous and you can even die. Go to a substance detox service and work with a doctor who will work out a withdrawal regime and monitor you throughout.
    3. Don't be put off if you have some relapses. Like alcohol, benzos often take 2 or 3 attempts or more to succesfully withdraw. Keep trying. Exercise helps a lot.

    • @paullangton-rogers2390
      @paullangton-rogers2390 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Update: I completed my 5 month benzo withdrawal plan this week. I'm now competely off benzo's after 10 years dependency. It's like coming out of a fog. I've had absolutely none of the horrific and often protracted withdrawals people report coming off benzo's and this is because my doctor tapered down the dose very gradually over 5 months. I went from Xanax (2-3mg a day dependency) over to Diazepam 30mg down to 0 in 5 months. It can be done people. Don't give up hope. And if you think, how on earth will I cope without benzo's when I'm off them??..(which I know is a scary thought for many) let me tell you, it actually gets EASIER to deal with underlying problems and it's not as bad as you think. When you're in the grip of benzo addiction and they eventually stop working, you're just taking them to prevent withdrawals but as tolerance increases and the brain down-regulates GABA the negative effects become more and more apparent (even when you're taking them)...but because you've been on them so long you think this is normal. It's not. Once you're off them, you can think more clearly, your overall health improves, and you're much better able to move forward and become productive again instead of being trapped in a hazy artificial existence. My only regret is that I didn't do this withdrawal sooner (although it can be difficult to find a doctor specialist willing to prescribe a taper regime in many countries), because it's cost me years of my life I cannot get back. So if you're addicted to benzo's give some serious thought to getting off them asap don't wait years like I did.

To understand that what your going through is temporary, and that after your Benzo nerve receptors heal all the pain and madness will stop. People do not think about ending their life when they get a really bad Flu. Because they know in a week or so it will more than likely be gone.
      But with protracted Benzo withdrawal, it can last for a long time. People get tired of suffering and lose hope. To avoid that I never used to think of how many months (or years) I suffered. I just got up every day and worried about getting through that day alive. Every day you suffer you are one day closer to being healed. So never give up, until you reach that day.

    36 mths off today Bob and I'm still in serious hell. I am now thinking this is just permanent for some of us. And if so I might as well check out from this planet as life is not sustainable in this non functioning condition. I just can't take this anymore. It's too much for too long.
    Anyway hope you're doing well Neighbour.

      I can't tell youi how many days I felt the same way as you are describing whenwithdrawing myself. You can make it through this, and it is not permanent. Just keep living in the moment, and keep on keeping on. Every day that you suffer, is one more day closer to waking up some day and having all this hell behind you.
      The day you heal, you wiull have a hard time even remembering what you are going through right now. My life is so much better right now in all ways, and yours will be as well if you just hang on and never lose hope.

    Hi bob did you heal from tinnitus??

    • @neighborbob3043
      @neighborbob3043  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, to the extent I already had some from my solvent brain injury in 1998. But, it was very greatly magnified when in Benzo withdrawal.
      The day I healed from Benzo's it is back to prior levels and not that bad.
