    Hell Yeah some Lapierre Love!
With my Spicy XL I bought 40mm rise bars and a 10degree rise stem which has made it really come to life! The XL came standard with a 45mm long stem which I swapped to 35mm and it was absolutely terrible for me and kind of exactly what you said in the video. The legends at Whippets swapped it up to 42mm long with the same degree rise and it feels amazing now!
I just swapped the post out (it’s been pretty clapped since riding Maydena in the slop) for a 210mm One Up dropper which can almost be fully slammed in the XL frame. Loving the bike now!
Certainly no super cool modern geometry on them but they just work and it’s far more capable than what I can put it through!

does the seat tube angle bother you? i also want to build one. but i am having second thoughts because of the seat tube angle

Interesting comment about the chainring size. My Sight (29er) also came with a 32t. I've recently changed to a 30t, much better for the climbs, and no noticeable change on the descents as far as suspension is concerned.

Haha, that's funny - you are out there riding, sweating in the sun and I will try not to freeze tomorrow.

Long cranks suck! Probably a good park bike or shuttle bike

Hey I can get this bike for 1800€ used and I am still not 100% sure about the relatively slack 74.5° seat tube angle. I am not planning crazy uphill sessions, but I will definitely encounter some. But I cant go wrong with that price - what do you think?

Do you have recommendations for setting sag on forks from Rockshox that always sag a few percent? Just add 20?

That was me and my wife walking up the track looking for my water bottle, sorry if we spooked you. Saw you earlier on my Marin while you were walking up and my bottle ejected shortly after! Don't get a bontrager side load cage, they suck.

Hey man, oh damn! Gotta run the fat bottles for those cages to have a chance hey. I’ve got a Cleanskin sideloader on the new bike, so I’ll have to see how it goes before giving it any praise
