      Yeah me too, but then again, racers run heavy casing tires with rear insert, in this case a coil shock and a zeb, plus it’s weighed with pedals.

    Just bought one myself in ivory it's pretty nice not a bad price ethier m6 first bike after 15 yrs mine came with Yari forks but are being changed for 170mm Either Zeb or fox for a 2k bike brand new just now its quite a bargin! 2023 model

      If I remember correctly Doddy is 6ft 3in (190cm). So yeah, he's definitely on the tall size.

    16.8kg. For a 153cm and 50kg rider.
    Let that sink in for all the riders/experts constantly complaining about weight... Might wanna look somewhere else for the problem :)

      The bike is built how she wants it, she could set it up lighter if she wanted. The weight isn't a hindrance on the descents and she is extremely fit so the transition climbs are no issue

      I have got the Zesty 9.9 in large 29er with Fox 36 and DPX2 and mine is 14 kg... Same frame so I dont think that her bike weights that much.

    Very nice bike. I could not live with the hydraulic actuator on the seatpost. One crash and you could snap off the hose and have it fixed for the rest of the day. But that‘s the problem if you are a SRAM rider and you have to use everything from them. The new Specialized kind off.

      All of Europe, French brand I think, don't see many about but my LBS is an official Lapierre shop in Manchester UK ... and he's struggling to get hold of cassettes at the moment never mind complete bikes

      @@ApexHerbivore Yeah it was heavier than I was expecting too. Coil shock, mousse in the rear, thick carcass tyres... but still, 16kg+ seems mad.

      My Spicy 3.0 in size L was only 1.1kg more with the stock coil. I changed the shock to a Cane Creek DBAir CS, and that made it under 17kg.

    before I bought the bike i have at the moment i nearly bought one of these but i was so foolishly impatient after waiting 3-4 months that i just couldn't wait any longer + the bike i have now the suppliers knocked of £150 to keep me happy as they messed up my order 3 time in a row, anyway not a particularly well known brand but they have pedigree and that's good enough for me

    16,8kg? Wtf. But i think you call it light because you also called the 2kg carbon wheelset light. With this weight she also could have ridden a aluminium frame. Would be lighter.

    I cant imagine a 100lb rider needs a RS Zeb. I bet she could use a fork with 32mm stantions, and it still wouldn't flex. Just save the 3 lbs.

      That’s the reality of ews racing though. Even with carbon and everything you’ll struggle to find a sub 16 kg bike in the pits. It’s about consistency and being able to ride to the end and sadly that’s only possible via some heavy duty components

      @@themagicillusions hmm, remember when i bought 1100eur 120/120mm full in 2014 it have 14,5kg (acera-alivio components+alu heavy 3kg frame XL size) and it was like ''omg its heavy crap'' And this racing machine 16,5kg in carbon and S size,its like WTF :-)

      Yeah other than the coil shock, rear tyre insert and thick tyre casing, what components are heavy enough to make it weigh that much?! Maybe the water bottle was full 🤔😂

      It's not like they're on an xc course tho, and she won, it's not a big issue. It may even help with stability against bigger rocks.

      Hm... Alot of uncommon components on there. Coil spring, hydro dropper post,twist lockouts, push on grips, pedals, tpms, water bottle, even the saddle looks cushy. Add to that non production tires and fork.

    Wow I'm just ....mystified... carbon bike, small size, carbon cranks, carbon rims... 16.8kg? Did you misspeak there, Doddi? That's nearly 37lbs da fuq? WHERE is the weight? in the tires? That would be the worst spot ever particularly for a small rider. I have a LARGE AL Kona AL rims, AL cranks, trail tires SLX/XT build and its nearly 33lbs. Makes no sense.

      Actually quite normal for enduro race bikes, they typically run DH casings. A little extra weight is better than cutting a sidewall on rocks during an enduro race.
