Yes definitely bought a craft made solo cup light, belonged to two camper clubs and I hung it from our awning on our monthly campouts. it was beautiful when lit ❤
Hi Karen, at Christmastime here in SoCal there is a neighborhood in Fullerton, CA that the residents decorate entirely with Solo cup lights. I think if you Google it there are photos. It's quite amazing to see!!
My Aunt made those homemade Christmas lights for everyone in the family (back in 1997 I believe) and it looked beautiful when lit up at night. It’s long gone but when the holidays come around I think about it often. Nice memory, I definitely would’ve picked it up if I saw it :)
One of my friends from High School parent's had one of those solo cup lights back in 2000 when I had dinner at their house & not sure how many years they had it. But I loved it and oh so wanted one!! I finally found one 4 years ago and of course right in my cart it went and I always think of her parents which were like parents to me when I hang it at Xmas. Not sure if they are worth money, but to me it is priceless ~ Memories...
Hi Karen, it’s always good also to look for the stamps 18/10 or 18/8 on flatware. They are higher quality due to amount of nickel and keep a higher polish. Great finds as always!
When we lived in Naples Italy, back in the late 90s, we’d wonder the old parts of the city at Christmas time (Buon Natale) and see many, many lovely nativity scenes. Often one or more of the Shepards (depending on the size of the set) would be pictured playing a double style flute that resembled a bagpipe. It was called a zampognari, common in parts of Italy.
Do you have any totally messy rooms, things out of place, magazines piled up, other things out of place? Dishes not cleaned, no piles of anything scattered around? No things on top of the counters? Messy cupboards? You and I are so opposite in households. 😂 I do have to commend you on how neat and tidy your place looks. Mine has NEVER looked that way. 😄
I received one for Christmas about 25 years ago from a best friend. Her father had made them. And congrats on your love story. A very happy ending for you two thrifts 🎉
Back in the day when I was selling random things - embroidery canvases always did well. Boggles the mind how they complete them without the colour key on them - so that part is important. You really did find some unusual and interesting items this week.
Karen - when you showed the Snow White figurine, I got a childhood flashback! I think my sister (she’s 6 years older than me and we shared a bedroom) had the same one...this would have been 1970’s. Cheers, Katia
Vid filter is a scrapper that use to get scrap from goodwill dumpsters until the put a gate up. They had like 4 in the he scraps in and they were stuffed full.
Ok, the solo cup thing reminded me of Christmas decor pieces we made in the 70's using the little plastic cups used during communion. We would take them home, clean them, then use a hot needle (pin heated up over a candle) to melt a hole in the center of the cup bottom. Pin the cups on a styrofoam ball with a sequin snowflake and decorative pin and Voila! Anybody else do that too?
If the carts have seat belt straps you can connect the carts using the straps. I worked in a retail warehouse and have connected 5 or more carts together at one time before.
Tammie Evanco welcome aboard. You too will fall in love with Karen like the rest of us. She's a hard worker with an eye for the eclectic . You're going to be amazed.
Good morning Karen! I so look forward to your videos, they are my reward for my thrifting week. I usually learn I have been leaving money on the shelves! Your personality and voice are great, you have definitely found one of your callings! Have a safe and Blessed Day! Brenda
You make me think I can sell my larger items, I have bought a few and need to pair down, so I will not fear as long as I have enough bubble wrap. Thanks again Karen you are so cool. Your hair looks great too.
Oh! The wonderful things you found! I have got to head over to PA and shop your stores. My local Goodwills and Salvation Armys just don't get that kind of stock. You're a true inspiration, Karen. ❤️
The Frog trashcan is early 00s. I purchased one for my first apartment and still have it. It would have come from Kohls or Target or somewhere similar.
Hi Karen! Thank you again for sharing with us. I learn so much from you and have applied some of your tips to running my store. I know you insert so tidbits about how you run your day. Is it possible you could do a video dedicated to how you manage your time on a typical day?
I would have picked up the homemade dangling light made out of the plastic cups. Campers LOVE that stuff and always looking for them. Yes, they were a thing back in the 70's-80's. People also love them for Christmas. You can find much more elaborite ones crafted ones with plastic pieces designed to hold one bulb each with many facets. Beautiful when lit. I would have listed the Hawaiian tapestry for $199 at a minimum and possibly $299. The Tiki community would've been ALL over that, even at $199. For Tiki/kitsch lovers, it's all about unique and rare pieces. Avon tip. Vintage Hairbrushes and combs, even if used. New in box Avon brushes can sell for $100+. The used can easily pull in $35-50! I always check bathroom drawers at estate sales for them. Quite often they just leave them on the behind in the drawers, with no interest in selling them. The fiber optic Snowman and the advent calendar are also hot sellers! 😁
Karen, amazing finds! I would love to see you do a video on how you list so fast & efficiently. It is all I can do to be able to maintain 1000 listings by myself and you are slamming it with listings, how do you do it? Wonderful video, have a safe blessed Sunday!!
HILLSBOROUGH NC!I JUST MOVED FROM THERE! It's down the road still. They had a few expensive antique shops. Sorry I missed that tray, but I'd obviously rather find it at a GOODWILL. I'm learning. Thanks Karen!
take a good look at the seven Dwarfs; I bet you went out with more than a few of them. That's why we blocked the names out, even though they are simple, haha.
Hi Karen! The homemade Christmas light has been popular in my area (Indiana) since the late 80s! Lots of people made very good money making all sizes of those and selling them at festivals. I attempted to make one and they are a lot more difficult to make than they look.
Just picked up a set of the larger 5"-6" Fontanini marked on the bottom Depose Italy 301 with a spider mark below. The spider mark I understand to be the more vintage pieces. I have a number of pieces picked up over the years, but never found any this size. The 3 wise men on camels are beautiful and do have Fontanini marked underneath.
The Solo cup lamp is something from the 70’s and 80’s we also made Christmas trees from baby food jars and they actually turned out amazing. Thanks for your hard work bringing this channel to us.
I've made a number of those solo cup light balls quite a few years ago. :-) Each one took a long time and I was proud of them. I always have trouble with how to get electricity to holiday lights so as a result they are sitting in the attic waiting for me to figure it out again. :-)
hi sweet little Karen. just finished watching your video on. auctions, just wanted you to know that a few years ago i lived n a little town just north of Tulsa, Oklahoma, when I moved front m the ranch, someone had stolen my geese and ducks from the lakes. i don’t know if that might help you, but they are yummy to some hunters. i bought them for a pretty price too. just wanted you to know they are valuable to many folks. you probably have sold your by now, knowing you. well, keep on keeping on sweet girl and hip hip hooray to MISS LAVENDER CLOSELINE!!!
I still can't get over the size of the thrift stores back east, Out here, in San Francisco, they are small...and so many have gone out of business...not really due to the Covid issue...the land values...condo-complexes have leveled at least a half dozen antique and thrift shops! The "Tech Crowd" have little or no interest in older items...many older homes have been gutted and turned into "modern minimalist" domiciles! I'm doing my part in keeping vintage alive...my home is a 102 year old "California Bungalow", with many of the original features!
Well, now...this is interesting. I'm over here in the Bethlehem, PA area, Karen. One of the Goodwill stores that I go to also has an over abundance of NOS vintage Avon also! Maybe the Keystone area stores got a huge donation?
Hi Karen, those shelves Awere packed at Goodwill! And you are rolling two almost full carts, such a talent! I would be having cart accidents! LOL Great haul! Sales should go well! Cheers, Pat
Hi Karen, my mother before she went into assisted living, had beautiful cross-stitch work she made over the years, she asked me to take them the Goodwill, and of course I kept them all. Later on, with my mother's permission, I sold a couple, and kept the rest. Memories of my dear Mother!!!
Have you ever considered carrying a 6-8ft dog leash with you to help you maneuver multiple carts at one time? You would loop the handle side through the clip side and clip the end to the seat back of the cart in front of you.
Yes definitely bought a craft made solo cup light, belonged to two camper clubs and I hung it from our awning on our monthly campouts. it was beautiful when lit ❤

That Christmas solo cup ball is so 5 minutes ago Karen!! Yes, it is cute!

Wow! I wish our Goodwill was stocked that well. You found some great deals!
The older Avon perfumes usually don’t do well but I love some of their boxes, their colors and graphics are fantastic.
Do you have any totally messy rooms, things out of place, magazines piled up, other things out of place? Dishes not cleaned, no piles of anything scattered around? No things on top of the counters? Messy cupboards? You and I are so opposite in households. 😂

My daughter made me a light about 5 years ago with clear cups. I loved it

Pretty bedroom Karen! I really enjoy your our videos . I sell on ebay, as a hobby, yet I like to buy things more than listing them.
If the carts have seat belt straps you can connect the carts using the straps. I worked in a retail warehouse and have connected 5 or more carts together at one time before.
I’m so glad I found your channel! You have such a sweet spirit and I learn so much from you! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time! 🙂

The glassware with the raised rubbery string
design is from a milk delivery co. and held cottage cheese. I collected them in several colors in the 60s
You make me think I can sell my larger items, I have bought a few and need to pair down, so I will not fear as long as I have enough bubble wrap. Thanks again Karen you are so cool. Your hair looks great too.

Thanks so much Lisa! 💜
Love the entire video but as I am still the child at heart, snow white and the dwarfs made me smile like a kid at Christmas. God bless your hard work
The barrware is David Douglas. I love that set. Great find Karen.
Yes, I mentioned this once or twice! 😁
Absolutely gorgeous! 💕 Love that goldfish. Love the color.....
Yes I have seen that homemade Christmas light decoration
Green frogs looks like ice bucket!🙂
Cypress knees grow in my yard.South Louisiana is loaded with these. And they are beautiful.

Wow!
Sid Dickens Memory Tiles.
I just looked up this artist's work... very impressive, and good money.
@@cheryldavis8776 We all learn from each other .it's great..Happy hunting.
I liked the Avon box of the parakeet pictured.
On the tapestry, DMC is, i believe, a well known thread/yarn maker.
It is! I used to use their products when I did embroidery and needlepoint.
The Frog trashcan is early 00s. I purchased one for my first apartment and still have it. It would have come from Kohls or Target or somewhere similar.
Vietri is a very expensive brand! That was a great find!
You must live in a great area for the Goodwill to be that packed and such good picks. Great finds!
Hi Karen .... The Solo cup lights were a thing around my neighborhood in the 1990s.
Love the "Irish" Italian manger! That is so something we would do at our house. Enjoy your vacay Karen!

Use bungee cords to tie your carts together. You will need two. There are small cords. I do it all the time. I always have two carts of stuff.
Thanks Linda! why didnt I think of this? ( I actually carry them in my car, LOL )
Just before Karen said she wished she had a chain, I was thinking she could use a bungee cord!
@@ricochetkitty7215 Me too! LOL

Yes I have seen the solo cup Christmas lights maybe from the 70's or the 80's
The solo cup Christmas ball was VERY popular in the early 90 ‘s.
I really like that light fixture in your room.
Karen, amazing finds! I would love to see you do a video on how you list so fast & efficiently. It is all I can do to be able to maintain 1000 listings by myself and you are slamming it with listings, how do you do it? Wonderful video, have a safe blessed Sunday!!
You don’t have family?
My sons and my daughter spend at least a whole day helping me list.
I believe Karen mentioned her daughter as well.
HILLSBOROUGH NC!I JUST MOVED FROM THERE! It's down the road still. They had a few expensive antique shops. Sorry I missed that tray, but I'd obviously rather find it at a GOODWILL. I'm learning. Thanks Karen!
That white asian lady sculpture fits so well with your home, if I were you I’d keep it... specially considering she has a hare on her hands.
Love this! 💜
take a good look at the seven Dwarfs; I bet you went out with more than a few of them. That's why we blocked the names out, even though they are simple, haha.
My mom used to make the solo cup lights with a glue gun. Was a thing in the 90’s.
Hi Karen~ Great finds as usual!! Always waiting for a new video from you.
Hi Karen! The homemade Christmas light has been popular in my area (Indiana) since the late 80s! Lots of people made very good money making all sizes of those and selling them at festivals. I attempted to make one and they are a lot more difficult to make than they look.
These would be awesome with multiples hanging from tree branches in your yard. Colored or clear lightsn both cool.
Just picked up a set of the larger 5"-6" Fontanini marked on the bottom Depose Italy 301 with a spider mark below. The spider mark I understand to be the more vintage pieces. I have a number of pieces picked up over the years, but never found any this size. The 3 wise men on camels are beautiful and do have Fontanini marked underneath.
ohhhh you sure found some amazing stuff!! Love love love the barware set and I am truly green with envy for the Nativity set!!
Maybe the frog thingy could be a wine bottle holder cooler
I made the solo cups/lights one year. They were actually pretty!
Vietri is high end Italian. They are known for ceramics. I have sold it retail.
Haha! Someone gave my mom one of those solo cup lights. My mom had it hung in the family room for years even tho i told her it was incredibly tacky!
Love your videos. Enjoy watching you, and your Goodwill haul. Pushing two carts, what a good day!!!!
The oriental statue lady is called Chang’e. She is a goddess living on the moon
Wonderful items. I truly learned a lot.
The Solo cup lamp is something from the 70’s and 80’s we also made Christmas trees from baby food jars and they actually turned out amazing. Thanks for your hard work bringing this channel to us.

I actually have a DIY tutorial on my channel showing how to make the Solo Cup light! :)
You need one of those things at wal mart that push the buggies in the store. I think they are electric!
Karen this haul was amazing!! So many really great items..Congratulations!!
hi sweet little Karen. just finished watching your video on. auctions, just wanted you to know that a few years ago i lived n a little town just north of Tulsa, Oklahoma, when I moved front m the ranch, someone had stolen my geese and ducks from the lakes. i don’t know if that might help you, but they are yummy to some hunters. i bought them for a pretty price too. just wanted you to know they are valuable to many folks. you probably have sold your by now, knowing you. well, keep on keeping on sweet girl and hip hip hooray to MISS LAVENDER CLOSELINE!!!
On the yellow juice glasses could be spaghetti string clear coated.
Wow that statue is beautiful Kuan Yin 👍🏻
NC has quite a few large w
distribution warehouses so that may be where your tray was from
You should take a couple of bungee cords to strap the carts together and just pull the train of carts behind you.😁
I like the pretty white lace blouse you were wearing. You look good in those types of wear.

Love how you call snippets "snipplets."
😂 I just keep making stuff up
Great haul!! If you find those Italy figurines with a little spider mark, those are Fontanini. They do very well usually.
Well, now...this is interesting. I'm over here in the Bethlehem, PA area, Karen. One of the Goodwill stores that I go to also has an over abundance of NOS vintage Avon also! Maybe the Keystone area stores got a huge donation?

YAY!!! i am always genuinely very happy to see you have a video up... very pretty background btw
The white statue is Chang'e, not Guan Yin. check it on Wiki.
Great video 🤗 You find some really neat things.
Happy June 13th...oh I loved the bedroom and your found things!! Thanks as always!!
Kuan Yin is the Chinese goddess of compasison and mercy. Also spelled Guanyin.

Excellent
I just stumbled across your channel and fell in love. What interesting objects.
Really good!
Great haul. I remember the video where you bought the fish.
Yes! I just bought it, it sold quickly
I love watching your videos!
Nice haul 👌
