Hey, very good video. I have one question though. Can you do a video on your connection for the mainboard via your Bench PSU. Wouldn't mind a great explanation of how it was built and how many amps I should set my Bench PSU to. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Thank you, because I would have liked to know more about this so that I could use it for my mainboard repairs. For example, how many amps I should set to the +12V. Thank you!
Wish I understood a bit more about what you were doing, I have an ASRock 970 Performance Fatal1ty Motherboard, I’ve done all the normal checks such as changed the CMOS Battery, Reflashed the BIOS and I’m getting Fan Spin but I have No LED Lights lighting up on the Board and No Beeps when a Speaker’s connected though, The CPU does get Hot though, I’ve just ordered a New Multimeter to replace my aging Fluke 73 Mk II Multimeter so hopefully that may help, Good Video though all the same! 🇬🇧
Its written in the description under "12V to 24pin ATX adapter". That thing originally is made for mining, but was modified by me. There will be a video about the tools i use in the future.
How about a bios update to the latest version? I have a Asus Strix X370-F Gaming with the Dram LED on. I have tried different slots and different ram with no change. No video and no post or change in diagnostic LED sequence. Just solid lit Dram LED. Have you experienced this before?
Hello there. I have a problem with my motherboard (i think so). After reinstalling Windows, everything works, including the Internet and the hard drive via a sata cable. Then I turn off the PC, turn off the power. I wait for half an hour - I turn it on and everything works. I repeat, leave the PC completely without voltage for 2 hours, turn it on - everything works. I repeat once more, now I leave it for the whole night, turn it on. And here the problems begin. It doesn't see the SATA hard drive at all + the network card falls off because it doesn't see Wi-Fi or cable Internet either. What could it be? Me again :D, well I need one advice. I got motherboard and 12v cpu rail is shorted. I will try CPU on new motherboard, if CPU is shorted can he damage new board?
Yes it can! I had that happen to me before. The VRM wont instantly blow up, but it will get really hot really fast and can die as a result! But for quick testing should be fine to see if it survived or not!

Hi, I hope you'll see this post and maybe you can give me a lead? :) I have an MSI B350 pc mate motherboard that gives me a red light cpu all the time. I have tested everything possible (clearcmos, new cpu, test with another power supply, another ram etc...) without success. I came across this guy's video: th-cam.com/video/PG2H2bUzJck/w-d-xo.html. His technique worked for me, but I have to do it systematically if I want the motherboard working. I took the opportunity to update the bios, without success. Obviously the problem is with the CPU power supply, but do you have any clues? Thanks in advance.
I have seen this before. This seems to have do to with the reset line on the board. Sadly i dont know an exact fix for this. Did this occur after a system or component change? Because i would expect a component to be missing or maybe dodgy on the board!
Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately i have no idea, I bought the card in this condition. I'll take the time to look at the card in detail and see if I find anything. I'll come back to you if I ever find a solution. Thanks again!

Thank you for the feedback, the audio should be better in the newer videos!
it should be required that all motherboards include a speaker or debug led

Its always coils that i am checking, they almost always look the same way on Mainboards!

One of my b365 mobo cpu shoket pin burnt due to bad cpu can it be repaired and last long after repairing?
Hi ! Please can you tell me how do you generate the 3.3V on the 24 pins cable via the power supply ? Thanks for knowledge sharing
Its generated by the adapter itself. Just like the 5V and -12V or the 5vsb. The adapter only takes 12V and converts them itself.

In that case i would try the DDR tester, to see if the Data lines are present or not!
15 mins to reset a bios... I do like your test rig though could you explain it? What is the device you've got plugged into the motherboard header?
