I definitely love that you've aimed this at hobbyists and recommend going cheap on equipment to start, helps give those entry level people confidence that they will be fine to start off with basic equipment instead of worrying about getting more expensive stuff.

I have been thinking of learning how to repair boards since seeing Louis Rossmann repairing them with a 2p capacitor and that's all it needed. Now I've seen your playlist and having watched some of your reviews I will be watching intently. Thank you for posting them.

HELLO ADAMENT! Am an avid Subscriber, you are my first 'Go to' when diagnosing PC issues! I recently built a new Computer in my old Tower with an MSI Z390-A PRO Motherboard with an Intel Pentium Gold Processor G5400 CPU @ 3.7GHz! Next added 64.0 GB DDR4 3200 Ram! Also a ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1 Video Card! Recently upgraded all my HHD's with an Intel 660p Series M.2 1 TB SSD Drive C and two WD I TB internal SSD's! My Computer now boots up completely for a cold start in 30 seconds!!!! (Once in a while when I turn it on, it Boots into the Bios Screen)!!!(But when I wont to boot into Bios, no matter what key combination I press it wont go into Bios on Command)! Windows will not display on my Digital Monitor but I can see the Bios Screen on another HDMI Output to my 32 inch TV! Am running XMP Mode and Gaming Mode on the MSI along with allocating 3/4 of my Ram to Process my Adobe Premiere 2022! My Question is: How do I get the computer to Boot into Windows EVERY TIME? And secondly, How do I get my computer to boot into Bios on command?

I do professional board repair everyday when it comes to soldering irons you don't get more with more expensive ones. The important thing is to get a t12 cartridge style tip that has the heating element in the tip, not the old fashioned ceramic heating element that the tip sits around. There's tons of knock offs that can be had for as little as 20-30 bones. I have a hakko but I almost never use it and use my knock off t12 i got for 25 dollars on amazon. Also for board repair 2 soldering irons is much more valuable than 1 valuable one. It makes removing smd components very easy like smd resistors and leds. A good iron stand that preferably has a spot for brass shavings and a sponge is also a good investment. I don't use my hakko station much at all but I do use the stand.

Get a good soldering iron. Critical. I thought I was terrible at soldering until I bought a real one. Hakko 888d is $60-80 and I still use it and have several irons now. The $20 eBay special (2 of them) flat out didn’t work

Now that I will have all the necessary equipment (including an analog oscilloscope, for more learning) I will get a damaged or non starting powerbook board, so I can go along with you in all the basics more easily. I have an accessory question, if you don't mind : what can be written for a sensing current resistor, on the board ? (should it be written Rcs every time or most often) . I did see Louis Rossman using a software that links the schematics with the board layout (but it seem to be somewhat expensive, not really possible for my level of learning ;) ) Best regards

The problem is that there aren't really any schools that teach this kind of work. Everyone I know who does it is either self-taught, or has an electronics engineering background for product design/testing.
I'm self-taught, and you can get pretty far just by watching others, learning, and practising - but the catch is that I have a lot of gaps in my knowledge for EE theory. When you get into the maths of how to calculate component values and stuff, I get left behind big time. Ohm's law is about my limit 😅

It would be nice if someone, other then in Hindi, would produce a 1,2,3,4,5, on desktop motherboard trouble shooting from the plugs clear to repair on a dead motherboard. Checking here you should get, and if you don't then do this, and or this...... It would be nice to be able to get a schematic or have one shown for the board being worked on to help learn. I have tried for weeks to get a schematic for a 100 to 200 series gigabyte board, but they will not sell and online I have only gotten viruses. Thanks

Every schematics link goes to some paid service. I understand that it's cheap for people who do repairs for living but for someone like me who want to use it occasionally it seem like a waste. Is there even any source to get schematics and brd file free or cheaply.

Very few techs are actually paying for them. Badcaps is an excellent resource.
