I am so glad, and so impressed, that you mentioned Samael ceremony of opposites.... so few people know about this album and its really a freaking banger... really one of my favorites
I second this! Ceremony of Opposites is a great album, I really was unaware of the fact that it is heavily ignored within the scene. People are missing out at their own peril!
@@rothbardfreedom Yup. I have no idea how someone with even a marginal interest in BM could possibly be unaware of Ceremony of Opposites. Aborym is a much more obscure band although they were talked of back in the day, mainly due to Attila's presence.
Oof I knew you had to put Axis of Perdition on your list! Deleted Scenes is so heavy to listen at night or when you're reading. Thanks for highlighting all these bands to new people, Wyatt.
Man..Axis of Perdition is so underrated. One of the few black metal bands I really get into, everyone of their albums and EP are super immersive. Hopefully a new one comes out in the near future
These video’s are killer. Getting new music and a history lesson on different sub genre’s is amazing keep at it man you’ve introduced me to a trove of art I didn’t find accessible until now
Thank you for these brilliant suggestions. My introduction to industrial black metal has been Diabolicum's "dark blood rising" and I am totally infatuated with the subgenre now.
Gorgonea Prima's Black Coal Depression is a must-listen for anyone who likes IBM leaning more towards the electronic side. They deserved more listeners, give em some love.
There is definitively a trend towards weirdness in your videos as they proggress in time (ie: starting with Thorns and Mystycum, ending with Rvbber VVitch), it reminds me a bit of the iceberg videos
One important early album you missed is MZ.412 - "Burning the temple of god". This one is really interesting because rather than being metal guys incorporating bits of industrial, it's OG industrial guys incorporating BM elements.
Since you're on an industrial kick, I'll recommend a criminally underrated Prong album, Rude Awakening, if you've never heard it. They incorporated industrial into their sound so well, but only for one album. The album got shit on when it came out which I will never understand, it's a classic to me.
I was just thinking of that album. My favorite track is "Dark Signs." I have a couple of the Albuns Wyatt mentioned here and Rude Awakening fits with them perfectly.
Daarlig Stemning is another black metal band that seems to have some industrial influence in their sound. Their song "Forstad for Darkness" from their album Elsker Beton is one of my favorites. Great video man! Very insightful.
Some other bands you should consider if you're into industrial black metal: P.H.O.B.O.S. (industrial blackened doom) Phobonoid (industrial black/doom) Taken by Wolves (industrial black) Mysticum (Black metal with industrial influences) Woest (Black metal with industrial influences) Decoherence (atmospheric industrial black metal) Myrkskog (Black/death metal with industrial influences) DSKNT (blackened death metal) Disconect (blackened death doom metal, especially their swansong album) Some tracks from prolific industrial metal band Red Harvest have a black metal influence like Last Call and Fix hammer fix
one newer project to check out is "lykotonon", from no other than people from blood incantation and wayfarer. really a strange mix of heavy influences of black metal, edm and industrial, but it just scratches some specific, weird itch in my brain. the mix is also great on the debut so it is an easy listen sound quality wise. can do nothing but recommend giving it a try.
I have With No Human Intervention,666 International,Rebel Extravaganza, and the Thorns self titled. Some Annal Nathrakh as well. Pretty much good stuff. I have the Mysticum album too, haven't listened for a while but will go back to it. Fullmoon Productions was actually ran outta my city here in Florida for a good bit. Will check out the other stuff you mentioned, man. Good vid.
One band I can think of when it comes to industrial black metal is Iperyt. My personal favorite is their second album No State of Grace. Really good stuff!
I'm learning about so much cool music from you! Thank you! Going to explore these. I love all metal but have a fondness for sludge and doom... There are very few industrial doom metal bands out there, only one I can think of is Unus Mundus. 🤣
Hell yes,but I'm not sure if they have/had a black metal element. They have been reformed since 2015,I'm eagerly awaiting new stuff from them and Ved Buens Ende.
Great video, great bands you recommend only one that is very important that I did not hear you mention would be Haemoth. Members from Spektr. Very aggressive they are the only band that has scratched that itch that Snorre has been ignoring by not releasing his second album for the last 15 years…
Mussorgski - in harmony with the universe is an incredibly weird industrial BM album, 90s polish stuff. Some of the songs are great and others are shit but it's definitely worth listening to. I also always got a nice industrial vibe from the 3 drum machine mutiilation albums, not so much because they have any electronics but more so that cold, metallic, mechanical vibe that early nathrakh does too
Love Thorns but prefer DHG also mysticum. Also no December Wolves? a band local to you made the blueprint for the uber aggressive industrial black metal with their two records Completely Dehumanized and Blasterpiece theatre (their debut "til ten years" is more by the book black metal)
I wonder if you could ever research us up a showcase of the best extreme metal packaging design. Like the Gozer's Den channel but showing Mortician's vinyl cut into sawblades.
mysticum decided to let go HELLHAMMER so they could sound more inhuman. in between mysticum and aborym i would have mentioned Dodheimsgard. I hate when people comment "hey there is this band X i like and i'm pissed that you didnt included it in your top list", but in this case, we are talking about a handful of bands doing industrial bm in the late 90s so it's kind of a hard to miss
LOVE LOVE LOVE your sweatshirt. ❤👍 Nothing says Industrial Black Metal like a 1985 Madonna song. 🤘🤘🤘 I know/knew nothing about Industrial Black Metal, but can happily talk about Madge all day. 🙂
Hello Mate! If i can add a band or a musician, would be Nordvargr from; MZ-412 or Vargr and some others projects, all them into dark ambient- Industrial Black metal ! MZ-412 it’s a Must! Especially : 1996’ Burning the temple Of God , the song “Feasting on Khristian blood “ its for me the best example Of Industrial B.M. !
Very nice video! If you're looking for a very intense Industrial Black Metal experience from Finland, definitely check out the Atar Unit - Subordination + Lead Of Lies compilation (catalogue number RAT-067), which I've released via my label.
I like your open-ended loose definition of industrial which I think you made on a previous video. What about Spektr and Diabolicum? You consider them industrial? I'd think you dug Spektr lots.
So seeing this video made me think of minatory for some reason (probably because I was listening to black metal made my minatory producers just now) but I wanna know Wyatt have you heard of minatory? If yes what’s your opinion on it?
i just saw Mysticum live last weekend, once you hear 2 songs you've heard them all. entertaining and the light show is cool, but doesnt feel like black metal
Always felt that it was WAAAAAY more industrial than black metal. As if they were an industrial project that was interested in the aesthetic of black metal .
Dødheimsgard never did anything to captitalise on something, in fact when they changed their style they lost a lot of fans and have never really been popular when compared to their fellow Norwegians. Also 666 international is incredible but that's just my subjective opinion.
I am so glad, and so impressed, that you mentioned Samael ceremony of opposites.... so few people know about this album and its really a freaking banger... really one of my favorites
and by favorites I really do mean FAVORITES in metal, all metal
I second this! Ceremony of Opposites is a great album, I really was unaware of the fact that it is heavily ignored within the scene. People are missing out at their own peril!
My impression was that Ceremony and Passage are classics and everyone know them hahah
Baphomet's Throne is played on every Samael concert.
@@rothbardfreedom Yup. I have no idea how someone with even a marginal interest in BM could possibly be unaware of Ceremony of Opposites. Aborym is a much more obscure band although they were talked of back in the day, mainly due to Attila's presence.
ah yes, very underground band, samael
Oof I knew you had to put Axis of Perdition on your list! Deleted Scenes is so heavy to listen at night or when you're reading. Thanks for highlighting all these bands to new people, Wyatt.

Easily Britain's best bm band.

Gorgonea Prima's Black Coal Depression is a must-listen for anyone who likes IBM leaning more towards the electronic side. They deserved more listeners, give em some love.
Yeah, I was hoping someone would mention them!
It's a great fusion of black metal, electronic and atmospheric elements
With each new video of yours, I discover tons of new artists to add to my playlists. Thank you, great work !
Mysticum streams of inferno is one of the greatest ALBUMS of all time!
Legandary album
Since you're on an industrial kick, I'll recommend a criminally underrated Prong album, Rude Awakening, if you've never heard it. Only really got into black metal in the past year. And I’m so glad I watched this vid just listened to the thorns album and it’s bloody outstanding 🤘🤘
Once again a great video. Love that you mentioned an Axis of Perdition. Their sophomore album still haunts me to this day lol.
Great video as always. Also, that shirt is fire
Daarlig Stemning is another black metal band that seems to have some industrial influence in their sound. Their song "Forstad for Darkness" from their album Elsker Beton is one of my favorites. Great video man! Very insightful.

God I love PHOBOS and Decoherence
I can't remember the band name but it was a two piece band with female vocals & a male DJ with decks that had a racing gear shifter
Well I've been curious about industrial black metal so this is definitely interesting
Limbonic Art’s Ad Noctum - Dynasty of Death (4th album) is pretty industrial and it’s pretty good too.

when I listened to thorns I just figured out what Vector used for inspiration. some parts sounds like black future stuff
Dude thanks for the reptile womb recommendation. That is an insanely unique and interesting project.

France's Blacklodge are also definitely worth your time for anyone reading. Vastly detailed and underrated.
Awesome video! One Album that I really enjoy is SAVAOTH's "Whispers Often Bleat" Even covered 2 songs from that album 👊🏻

Another great "Industrial" BM is Abigor's Fractal Posession. Somewhat reminiscent of Thorns but with more traditional BM. Definitely give it a listen.
My first introduction to industrial bm would of been Aborym, specially the album With no Human Intervention. Still a banger imo.
Got that when it first came out. I liked Ministry and KMFDM, and also black metal. Definitely a good album. Fire Walk With Us is a good album too.
just now hearing about this subgenre, thanks dude
Ive put out one Black Metal album so far in my life, I didnt shoot for Industrial, but a couple of my friends said it sounded industrial
You should check out Borgne's newest album from last year. One of the best industrial black metal albums to come out recently.
Hey bro. Love that Sabazios demo, Wintermass. Thanks
Also check out Luminous Vault's new album, it's prob gonna be in my top 5 of the year list, just pure electro industrial black metal goodness
This is good content mannn
Red Harvest is another early norwegian industrial black metal worth checking
Hell yes,but I'm not sure if they have/had a black metal element. They have been reformed since 2015,I'm eagerly awaiting new stuff from them and Ved Buens Ende.

My favourite industrial-black metal band is Iperyt, from Poland. Very good band.
I really like this style of black metal . Axis of peditriton anaal nakreth and gnaw their tounges are my favs
i actually thoroughly enjoy grand declaration of war, enough to have it on CD
Good stuff!!!

Lemme throw in Neo Inferno 262, especially their Hacking the Holy Code album 🙏🙏🙏
I wonder if you could ever research us up a showcase of the best extreme metal packaging design. Like the Gozer's Den channel but showing Mortician's vinyl cut into sawblades.
Oh boy! Never heard of the band Rvbber VVitch, but I'm glad I found it now. 👍
Yeeess! My needy niche is nourished!!
You should check out Schlangengeist here on TH-cam, very raw and experimental, the guy makes a lot of killer harsh noise and techno as well.
mysticum decided to let go HELLHAMMER so they could sound more inhuman.

did he mention 666 international?
@@tmp1k i may have missed it, the subs are bad
Attila had a
Skinny Puppy inspired band called Plasma Pool
I’d throw Endless Dismal Moan in the I.B.M category.
I recommend Blacklodge and Neo Inferno 262. Check them out!
Wake and bake and this video.. it's a good day

I kid you not,a black metal band named Averse Sefira covered a Madonna song.
Godkiller The End Of The World Rex before even watching.
I've always enjoyed Dødheimsgard's Supervillain Outcast
mamaleek vinyl huge W
I think the rarest bowel movement artist is Madonna
Subscribed! Well said.
Darkspace is amazing. Not sure if it qualifies as industrial black metal, but it's not far
Relistening to Thorns and of course Paysage Diver, you can really tell how much those inspired the Darkspace sound.

great video
Madonna is the best option when you're presenting about extremely obscure bands that only a tiny fraction of the smog will be interested in hearing.
Im surprised you didnt mention v.e.g.a even though you used them in the bg music
I got an example of industrial black metal iperyt
I like your open-ended loose definition of industrial which I think you made on a previous video. What about Spektr and Diabolicum? You consider them industrial? I'd think you dug Spektr lots.

Mysticum! FMP666
How do you feel about Dodheimsgard's iteration? Or even later satyricon
great video. btw what song(s)/album is it in the background
Description and what’s labeled as “background music” will show you 😎
No NKVD? 🤨🤨
Missed two big ones, Mz 412 and Nagelfar.
gnaw their tongues>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
