Good reaction. This collaboration has been on the cards for a long time. BMTH and BABYMETAL have been good friends for 7 or 8 years since they first met at a festival they were both playing in the UK. BABYMETAL were new on the scene and Oli Sykes from BMTH took them under his wing and made sure they felt welcome. They have supported each other ever since and have often spoken about wanting to collaborate,
In 2019 BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan and they opened at 4 of their big arena shows. I suspect a lot of this video was made up with clips from those shows (they did not appear on stage together of course and this song was not a thing then).
BMTH have performed this song live many times now, but BABYMETAL have not been touring, so their parts have always been on backing track - it is great hearing the crowd singing along with Su-metal though.
BABYMETAL originally sent their contribution across entirely in English. Oli asked them to include some Japanese. He has also said Su-metal's sweet vocals only encouraged him to go even harder with his growls and screams.

This is a very popular song among both BMTH and Babymetal fans, it really is a good collaboration as if they were part of one band.
But sadly it was never performed live together, in part because Babymetal hadn't performed outside of Japan since 2020
I wish if people were going to do this they would do a better job, the fake crowd noise is very unnecessary and maybe they could have used footage from one of the shows where they were actually on the same stage albeit at different times of the night. Apart from that it is a very good song and is loved by fans of both groups.
Glad you realized this was an edit! I've seen reactors watch this whole thing and think it was real 😄 Anyway good reaction, and yeah Kingslayer is a fun one. Glad to see you back on Babymetal (well, kinda) and I hope you do more of their stuff soon. I'll echo Jake's suggestion to do IDZ live at Sonisphere.

Early BMTH went pretty hard but they eased up for a decade or so...until this EP, "Post Human: Survival Horror" when Oli went All In again!!

First of all, i wish you a late Happy New Year and thanks for coming back with more BM related content, get ready for another wonderful 2023 with a BM new single coming this month and live performance.
This is an awful live compilation and never happened in real life.
They played this song last year at Southside Festival in Germany and Hellfest Festival, you got a nice proshot version, also more recently at South American live tour in Chile and Brazil, but of course with only BabyMetal backing track vocals, hopefully one day they will play this together.
This was the best 2020 collaboration.
BMTH couldn't have better collab on their latest album Post Human Survival Horror, there are some others really good songs there thou but this one is just on another level.
They're friends since a very long time ago so the collab was almost naturally unavoidable.
They even performed as a support band for BabyMetal and Oli praise the Fox God too (atheist no more)🦊🤘
You won't find a live performance with both groups on stage but you'll find fancams from BMTH UK tour last year performing this song with BM backtrack sound.
There's a previous instrumental intro on this song called "Itch For The Cure" which is clearly a tribute to Linkin Park song "Cure For The Itch".

Good reaction. Unfortunately this performance never happened, as it is staged. The Babymetal part corresponds, if I'm not mistaken, to Starlight's performance.
BMTH and Babymetal have been friends for many years, since they were the opening acts at concerts in Japan, and they were shocked to realize that many people who came to see them were actually there to see them.
This collaboration was in the midst of a pandemic, so there were no possibilities of doing joint concerts.

So BMTH's singer, Ollie, said in an interview that the contrast between his screams/growls and SU's angelic voice was so good, that he just couldn't help it and he had to go as hard as he could, even more than what he intended to do at the beginning! :D
The BMTH singer screwed up his voice with his screams and has spent years recovering it and learning, which is always important, to do it without breaking it. It seems that he is fully recovered.

Nice reaction to a really good collab! As other have mentioned, this, unfortunately, has yet to happen (maybe one day?). If you check out the official lyric video...the sound will be much more rich, you should give it a solid listen. As always, looking forward to the next one!

yeah that sucks I didn't know that going into it. I saw the video had like a million views so I didn't think anything about it. I wanted to watch something cool and entertaining rather then a lyrical video but I didn't know it changed the sound. I may have to react to the original one because I don't want my experience tainted by this.

Yes this is epic (although a compilation). I apologize for being the first here, but Bring Me The Horizon and Babymetal have been friends for many years. Others will provide better information. In short Babymetal performed (EDIT: collaborated) with BMTH , and BMTH opened with them in Japan. This is an important song for the collaboration of each band. In short Babymetal has numerous frankly countless Metal groups that support them, or that they have opened for. They are soft and they are seriously hard. There, is no more diverse group than Babymetal. Like them, or don’t like them. No other group will come anywhere close to them.

This was ok but if you want to react to a better fan made video collaboration try BabyMetal - Akatsuki with XJapan It looked so good they should have really done a collaboration together th-cam.com/video/1Lxfd229f3Y/w-d-xo.html XJapan and Metallica are the top two bands BabyMetal get their inspiration from, I think
This edit is a bit disappointing. The audience noise is so loud compared to the music, it makes the music sound so weak compared to how the song actually sounds. It has SO MUCH punch, but it's all lost in this edit, unfortunately.

@@Killermcknight Yeah, the video is great, and well done, some of the shots of Su even looks like she's singing the actual lyrics even though she isn't. The only issue with that edit is the sound, but unfortunately it's the most important bit. :/ The song hits so hard in the studio version. I recommend at least listening to it at some point. Olli's growls come out so much better as well.
