*UPDATE* - A few things on this video... 1. Yes, I get the irony that this video says "perfect 1080p graphics card", yet I tested the games at 1440p. The reason for that was to put all the load on the graphics cards and push them hard, rather than give them an easy time at 1080p and have the CPU be the limit to performance. 2. At the very end of the video, ignore that the MSI Afterburner says GTX 1070, that is custom text put into MSI Afterburner that I forgot to change, I did that last benchmark after the video was finished late at night. Rest assured it is the EVGA 1060 SC card (the 1070 would be doing 20+ FPS more). 3. Watch the VRAM numbers, lord does "Very High" use a lot of VRAM, drop it to "High" Detail and a 3GB or 4GB card will be plenty at 1080p. 4. I did try manually overclocking the ROG Strix card, it ran fine at 2.1GHz, but locked up hard at 2.2GHz. The RAM overclocks by 200MHz just fine, but locked up at 400MHz overclock. There is very little overhead on my card for overclocking, but perhaps that is just my sample. 5. The ROG Strix fan speed numbers are not an error, it really does sit idle for a period of time when I start the benchmark. In extended play, the fans do turn, but VERY slowly... but then there are three of them, it really isn't quieter than the EVGA SC card in normal use, I can't hear any of them. 6. This video is my first attempt to put actual benchmark video and graphs into a GPU comparison, I already see 5 things I'd do differently... Next video will be RX 470 comparison.
*UPDATE 2* - For all the value in these cards... the reality is that for the price, the RX 480 is a better deal... Today (2/21/2017) the ASUS ROG Strix RX 480 8GB is $215 after MIR - amzn.to/2l45PM3 That is the exact RX 480 shown in the benchmark chart in this video. That is a LOT of performance for that price...
Cool cool but my mind is made up thanks to you. I want the EVGA SC GTX 1060 3GB card as it's small and all it needs is a 6 pin adapter. As for the PC it's going in, I only have a core i5-3570 with the 8GB DDR3-1600 and the Strix GTX 960.
It would cost too much cash for me to build a new up to date PC at the moment just for playing video games. I'm going to keep using my PC until say the power supply gets damaged or something.
My EVGA 3GB 1060 SC card is currently installed in a i5-4440 based PC and it plays everything at 1080p perfectly, it is one of my kid's computers. :) It really is all you need...
Tech Deals Thanks for the reply sir. I always look forward to watching your videos. I love how you mentioned the mini war that has been going on with the rx 480 and the gtx 1060. It's really hard to advise people on which one to get without seeming biased on other forums and chats. So I just recommend it based on the person's budget like what you did.
don't worry - it's normal. they're additional power cables that could be used to power other cards. mine has those too. it's a 6-pin and a 2-pin - some video cards need only 6 pins for power. (those cables would've come with the power supply.)
i don't know what "spool beeping" is. my card, 6 months after i got it, works just as well as the day i got it :) i just googled for known issues with the card, and it appears some people have had fan issues with it. i haven't looked closely at this with mine, as the machine's window points away from me (it faces the wall). temps when i'm gaming however, have never gone above 68C. i will however take a closer look over the coming days and i shall report back if i find any fan issues.
Hi am in the future, its 3100. We have 160k gaming on flip phones - update, its now year 5100. We now unlocked the hologram gaming - update, its now year -100,969. We went back in time
Chunk uhh idr want to talk about it it was after "The Great War" 2/3 of the population died out because of necular bombs (necular bombs were really weak compared our antimatter bombs but they were banned) I was one of the survivors (the great war was after ww3 and 4 then there was 30 years of peace no wars at all I was born in the last 5 years of the peace) luckily my dad works for the government and he has "the ways" I cant talk about it, its classified and we found some really old technology that was some how working apparently it was called a phone and we so this stuff and got it working you know how extremely smart A.I. was invented in 2074 so it took like 5 minutes honestly people 100 years ago had it so much better there was this thing called a scooter and it looked so fun! Comment if you want to know more..
you have tried it with 4k? I am between the gigabyte and evga superclocked (3GB version). My problem is that it gives me more security that I have an extra fan on gigabyte. This considerably lengthens the useful life? or should I buy the evga? Thank you
Same. Besides the performance end of it I know it’s great for manually overclocking, my friend got one and just absolutely raves about it, and besides that the aesthetic is unmatched. It looks so good, especially with the matte black backplate.
hi techdeals, it'll be very helpful if you make a video on "which rx 480 to buy" an updated version, because post December AMD's crimson driver update sees significant boost over gtx 1060. it'll be nice to see head to head competition against 1060 on the grounds of dx11 and 12 performance and to prioritise which over whom and why. thank you!
Dan Nugent in 1080p on dx12 grounds 480 sees a boost of abkut 20fps or so as of now. besides 8gb vram makes it a sweet spot for 1080p gaming for 3+ years
I really love these videoes. They may not be super entertaining but they are extremely informational and helpful. I've learned lots of things here that I can't find anywhere else. Thanks for the help and keep up the awesome work man!
Clear explanation - within the English language - appears to be an art that, over the years, has been lost (for the most part). Thankfully, your channel provides videos which contain the most clear and comprehensive explanations, regarding tech products. (The other would probably be LinusTechTips.) And so, I commend you for that!
Wow, your videos are amazing. Thank you so much for including subtitles on the screen. Frequently i watch these videos in public without headphones and cant use sound and am forced to try and decipher subtitles but the text you use is PERFECT. Keep up the good work and keep improving!
not at all. 8400 is way better. Here stuff are way too expensive. i got 4570 on 10k here while 8400 is on 27k. if i could afford it i would have gotten i7 8th gen. i bought the system with 8gb. 4gb was lying around so i put it in the system. why not 16gb? i wish i could get 64gb lol.
I like you. Instant subscription. You're very consumer/price minded and cut through the GPU spec marketing warfare to get to actual performance. Listening to Linus (god bless him) i might've bought the Asus Strix 1060. Listening to you i'm definitively going for the EVGA SC.
Thanks for an illuminating review! In my case the timing was perfect since I'm exploring options for building my son's first PC. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much! Building a budget pc and the detail you went into between the 6gb and the 3gb was a huge mind opener! This video was great as well! As new buyers we get caught up in the "new and fancy" and "8gb plus if vram" loop and for gamers like me with a budget your videos really do the trick! I love the content and all the nerdy details man!
also remember that even if a card dose perform well in 1 game then other cards it dosent mean that card will do so in other games thats why testers shuld test older games as well like games from 2015 2017 and 2016 so people will see how good the card really is =)
I bought the MSI 1060 Gaming X 6G last nov and am very happy with it. My main points besides raw performace was less cables (it uses one 8-pin) and DVI ports (my main screen is still connected via DVI-D) And the reasons for a Geforce card were certain features that Radeons don't offer at this pont. If that changes until my next upgrade I see no problem going red then. It runs cool, is silent and performs great.
Hi, Excellent video. Would you suggest the Zotac 6gb Amp edition for an Intel DB75EN Board with a i5 3470 CPU? I have 24GB DDR3 memory and i mostly do 3d modeling, sculpting and rendering. Your comment will help my decision in buying.
Thank you so much for the way you explain things, seriously. If you take the time to read this thank you again! I'm building my very first pc (after being a console gamer for the longest time) And I practically had little help with it. For the past 4 weeks I've been watching videos, reading, and just trying to wrap my head around all this shit. I have a much better understanding now. I have almost all my parts ready. My last item has been my gpu. I've stressed about what card to buy for so damn long. CONSTANTLY reading reviews changing my mind, this one, no THAT ONE. No, That one, ummmmm no this one. The info you give is aweosme and delivered so well. I'm so god damn greatful I found your channel. (Ps, neweeg reviews are the bane of my existence at the moment). So after pulling my hair out I've came to a conclusion. I've even watched your 6bg vs 3gb video. To touch on that, I went with the 6gb because again, It's in my head. Just like you said, buy the 6bg and be happy with it. EVGA SC 1060 6bg. Thank you sir.
I need help with my gaming PC that I am making could you tell me if this is alright? Matti boi yep. its a beast already for the current aaa games. and can compete also for 3 more yrs i think? or 2. dunno. haha. but for now yes its a best rig.
hey m8, im from Brazil and i was looking for a channel like this, where we have a nice and technical reviews and not just some kind of AMD or NVIDEA guy pushing the fishes for one or another, ur reviews are tottally free of this kind of tendency, and i congrat u for it. Keep the nice work man, really nice one, i just subscribed and i'm going to share ur channel everywhere! cheers! ( sorry about my bad english )
Best channel there is on TH-cam. Maybe not so interesting to most people, but you're entertaining, the videos are very well planned and I learn a lot from them. So in my opinion this is the best channel on TH-cam. Keep making videos!
MAN YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.. PLEASE DO NOT stop POSTING THE VIDEOS. I JUST CANT get ENOUGH OF YOUR VIDEOS.. haha.. ITS just fun. i watch the same videos again and again i dont know why..its just fun watching. Man those 95 people didnt know what that thumbs down button would do.they just did without watching i think.
hahaha, most passionated person im seeing in my life, and because of a tech vid. Wonder how you are like with games, movies series. its very honest and informative videos he is making.
I plan on building a new pc come the fall. I needed a in between card till I switch over to 4k monitor(s) Bought the Asus gtx 1060 from Newegg. Mostly based on the game bundle. It comes with DoW3 (I really wanted this game.) AND a choice of For Honor or Ghost Recon Wildlands. All for $199! Fantastic deal! Thanks for the great videos!
lol i never said anything contradicting that. the 1060 is twice the card. i have one in this machine right now. fact of the matter is on certain games the pentium G will not get the most out of the 1060, but it will get the most out of the 1050 ti. why leave performance on the table by using an underpowered cpu? i like to balance my pc's properly but he can always upgrade his cpu in the future so that's an option.
for gaming, if u wanna utilize the 1060 to its fullest, get a 4core processor, 4 real cores outperform 2 with HT every day. i would wait for ryzen tho, might be cheaper and better or at least might cause the intel prices to drop, just wait for the perfect deal, it aint much time left
GOOD REVIEW.. i always had trouble buying certain series of cards like before with the 600 series to the 900 series like the 970gtx. Now since i am upgrading to a 1060gtx i am having a hard time picking certain model for this series.. but with your review i am going with the EVGA sc EDITION.
Great video. I really like these comparison videos. I ended up going with the superclocked single fan edition. It was the only one I can find for 230. I checked this morning on the price. It's at 280 now. Glad I ordered it when I did. Thanks again for the great content and help new PC builders like myself out in making an informed buying decision.
i'm blown away by your presentation very simple easy to follow clear easy to understand even by a novice mind you have to know something but i'm totally impressed .i've been itching to upgrade my 760 oc card last year i was forced to build new pc vs upgrade my video card it was not in the budget at that time 1060 look worth the upgrade saves me power usage to ..i plan to buy the out of the box 1060 i do not oc i rather have it pre ready thank you for explaining these cards ..
I'm running an Asus Rog Strix 1060 6g oc and also have a MSI gaming GTX 1060 6g. I've always been a loyal fan with MSI up to the Maxwell generation. (power delivery, And cooling performance) What I noticed owning these two great cards is.. Asus gives me "out of the box" a constant 2050 mhz gpu boost performance and I notice a higher frame rate stability using 3D Mark stress tests. example: 99.8 with the Asus and 98.6 with Msi. (Luck of the silicon lottery?) I purchased the Strix on a whim around launch. (The last 1060 left of the store shelf!) I don't wish to offend anyone but the Asus Rog Strix performance isn't just skin deep, (A pretty card) The Circuit board is basically a GTX 1070 with excellent beefy vrm's, phases, And power delivery components. Rog is Overkill, Overbuilt, And no Regrets with this purchase. Thanks for video Tech Deals :)
Hey, I bought the Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1060 a couple of days ago and When I installed it (on my Dell XPS 8700), it only let me use one of the DVI-D ports (the top one) and the graphics card didn't even get recognized, so I put the drivers cd/DVD in my PC and it said I could not install because I have a newer version or same version of the drivers already downloaded so I couldn't install the drivers I guess... Please Help...I really don't feel like paying 100$ for some person to come over and fix all this wacky shit when I already spent $250 on the graphics card alone...I've been trying to work with this graphics card for about 2-3 days and I'm really pissed... Can anyone please help?
did you get it fixed? How so? What was wrong? Im looking to buy a gtx1070 and I have the same motherboard as you. So this would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the late response, but use the Display port or HDMI port instead of the DVI port. Forget the DVI-D ports on that card. Even if you have a DVI (Old monitor) use the HDMI and purchase if you have an old monitor a converter from HDMI to DVI-D... reboot your PC and you will see everything will work.
Use GeForce experience, I had the same problem when installing my 1080, and I got GeForce experience and automatically installed the latest drivers. All I had to do was open it up.
Nice comparison, man. Not just for show, but an in-depth review of the cards. I'm starting to watch related vids because Im torn between the different 1060s and 570s - 3GB/4GB respectively coz WALLET PROBLEMS :( Thanks, you da man!
Just brought an Asus ROG swift PG279Q 27”. Running PUBG with some mixed settings nothing set higher than high and I get around 90fps and it looks amazing. The card I have is a GTX 1060 Gigabyte Extreme Gaming edition 6gb. Running a decent overclock as with my I5-7600k. Really impressed how my little system handles it 👌🏼 Great reviews btw 👍🏼
I really want a 1060 6gb but prices are high in the UK atm. I'm have to keep my 970 for now. Great to see your channel getting popular it's the most informative

I just bought the Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme GTX 1060 6gb gpu, it is beastly. I actually paid under msrp (msrp) with a coupon on Newegg when it came in stock. Looking through multiple reviews of all the gtx 1060s, this one tends to outpeform or at least equal them and has a better cooling solution (i.e. runs cooler at full load).
Thanks for the video! I wish there were more models here but I can see how that could be difficult. The model I'm looking at isn't present here but your video was really helpful. Thank you for your time!
I'm looking at a Gigabyte Windforce OC 3GB Version. Thats for budget reasons. I'm paying 20€ for a new one from the store after an MSI R9 380 RMA if anyone was wondering.
i was in a big dilemma between the evga 1070 ftw and the strix 1060 6gb. After watching your videos (gtx 1070 and 1060 cards) i realized and made the decision, the strix 1060 is more than enough for me. Im playing in 1080p. I ordered the card and i am smiling all the time when im playing ;) Keep up the good and quality work. You sir earned a sub :) Greetings from Hungary
this video helped a lot i was planning to get the ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB ROG STRIX OC Edition but thought it was out of my price range and this really put me where to look thanks!
thank you for the diction! With my lite level of English I understand every word you say. And the for the info! - it's just what I needed to decide which one to buy
Brilliant explanation. I enjoyed every seconds and your recommendations on which one to buy. Going to check out the other videos on your channel to help me with building a new mid range gaming PC after 9 years on the road and only had Mac laptops for work. Cheers!
Nice video. I ended up buying the EVGA 1060 SC based on your recommendation last year. I have been very happy with it so far and it's interesting to see that decision was well made. I have seen some info that the AMD 480 would have been a good choice as well. Thanks for all the information you do, and making your videos very concise and well done.
Thanks so much! Great video and I'm glad to hear I chose a good card this time. :-D Thanks again. It always makes me nervous, buying a new generation of card when the jury is still out and the prices are still very low.
So I was gonna get the mini evga one as my last evga card was super reliable. But I found a dual fan gigabyte for only 220. Not the g1 gaming a different one so I went with that. Hopefully I like how it runs as I have never bought one of their products.
Should I get the Nvidea GeForce GTX 1060 Founder's Edition for 300$ off of the Nvidia.com website? Is it better then any of these? You know... the one Nvidia stealthily launched. The new model with 6gigs of GDDR5/X
Love your Vids man. Keep it up. You helped me decide which graphics card I should get and i have decided for the Strix from Asus. Your vids have really helped me. I know this is comment is a little late but i really appreciate your content.
Hello Tech Deals. First of all, thanks for making these awesome videos. you really help us understand the technology better. i like ur extensive cover up in which u discuss every prime aspect about a product at lengths. i am in a bit of a dilemma here. Confused between gtx 1060 3gb, rx 570 and upcoming vega gpus. Now i have the budget to go for gtx 1060 6gb, but then i watched your "1060 3gb vs 6gb" video and learned that extra money on 6gb version isn't worth the performance it would offer against the 3gb ver. Then i watched another of ur videos in which you pitted 1060 against rx 570 n was impressed by the card's performance and the price point it is getting sold at. But i m also concerned about its power draw. i have a corsair cx 500 watts psu installed with fx 6300, 3 HDDs, and one SSD on board. i don't want to change my psu or remove the installed drives. but i am no OC enthusiast either. i like to run everything on stock settings. the games i want to play are recent AC lineup, far cry 4, gta 5, and other open world AAA titles. i would like them to run on FHD with at least 50 FPS consistency. i have a regular FHD monitor with 60hz refresh rate. the way i see it, 1060 3gb fits my needs. it has optimized power draw and is well within my budget. but i also observed that the 570 performs a tad better when dx12 is involved. that means 570 holds more promise in future. (right ?) and i am also hearing talks that vega gpus are gearing up for their entry in the market. they will b more powerful and energy efficient than polaris based gpus. so my question is, should i wait for vega to show up? will the vega architecture get implemented in mid range gpus or will it be something exclusive to only top tier SKUs? (if that's the case, then there's no point in waiting.) or should i just consider choosing between rx 570 and 1060 3gb ? and which on out of the two ?
Seems to me like all the tomb raider results are so close they're within margin of error lol but awesome video, I just bought a evga 1060 gaming axc 2.0 single fan card :) itll be here tuesday, I cant wait! And to top it off the 1050ti I bought 4-5 months ago for 180 is selling at newegg for 360$ and on kijiji (canadian craigslist) for 270$!!
I am quite conflicted. I have an MSI GTX 780 Lightning. Its a very bad overclocker and its paired to an i5-4590 CPU that, as far as I can tell, at least dont bottleneck the card. I would love to upgrade to a 10 series card, but the 1070 and 1080 is slightly out of my budget. The 1060, however, seems to be within my range. And here's the deal. The 1060 gives me 6GB of VRAM vs the 3GB of the 780, it runs at a much higher clock speed (almost double...not quite), but the 780 is a 384 bit card vs the 1060 which is only 256 bit. I get very good results at very high settings in most new games with the 780, but it is starting to show its age. Is it worth upgrading to the 1060 or not? What kind of performance increases can I expect? I dont see detailed benchmark comparisons between the 780 and the 1060 and benchmarking sites are useless as it puts tickmarks next to the 780 simply for being a 384 bit card. I need help here! Should I rather wait for 11 series cards?

i have an msi gaming x (6 GB) gtx 1060 card, and i love it. having said that, i probably would've love ANY of the 1060s out there right now.
I too have that card, but my power connectors have spares hanging of the side. is that normal?
don't worry - it's normal. they're additional power cables that could be used to power other cards. mine has those too. it's a 6-pin and a 2-pin - some video cards need only 6 pins for power.

I am between the gigabyte and evga superclocked (3GB version). My problem is that it gives me more security that I have an extra fan on gigabyte. This considerably lengthens the useful life? or should I buy the evga? Thank you
@@franpowermetal1 my god dont buy the 3gig model.
Covers all the points, very good video, I'm getting the gigabyte one
Aaron , good decision
gonna get that when i get enough money
Me too just ordered mine but overclockers dont deliver on weekends )':
Still running strong?
Same. Besides the performance end of it I know it’s great for manually overclocking, my friend got one and just absolutely raves about it, and besides that the aesthetic is unmatched. It looks so good, especially with the matte black backplate.
One of the greatest reviews in youtube ive even see
hi techdeals, it'll be very helpful if you make a video on "which rx 480 to buy" an updated version, because post December AMD's crimson driver update sees significant boost over gtx 1060. it'll be nice to see head to head competition against 1060 on the grounds of dx11 and 12 performance and to prioritise which over whom and why. thank you!
I'll be doing a RX 470 comparison... everything in that video will apply to the RX 480 cards, since they are largely the same...
same
Tech Deals glad to know! :)
In Rise of the Tomb Raider at 1440p, the RX 480 and GTX 1060 are largely the same performance...
Watching this older video REALLY makes me appreciate your newer videos where you start with a summary of the results. Very good format that is.
I have a gtx 1060 sc evga, great card!
Hands down, 10/10. 6GB though. I wipe my ass with 3gb cards
yep same here, got the 6gb sc evga. No problems just triple a titles running at a smooth 60fps ;p
Lee Sin Bet that hurts. Toilet paper is a better choice for wiping your ass.
I'm strongly considering buying that. Is it the single fan? And, how has it performed so far?
Jose Francisco Franconi
How is the temps on that card?
Wow, your videos are amazing. Thank you so much for including subtitles on the screen. Frequently i watch these videos in public without headphones and cant use sound and am forced to try and decipher subtitles but the text you use is PERFECT. Keep up the good work and keep improving!
its 2018 and still an ultra detail graphic card for 1080p.....
what CPU/ram do have?
cpu i5 4570 3.2ghz
Mobo. gigabyte g1 sniper b5
12gb ram
asus gtx 1060 6g strix
@@SNKAFRIDI is the i5 4570 a better choice than i5 8400? and why 12gb ram instead of 16gb?
@@SNKAFRIDI u really just need 12-16 gb for gaming
I like you. Instant subscription.
You're very consumer/price minded and cut through the GPU spec marketing warfare to get to actual performance. Listening to Linus (god bless him) i might've bought the Asus Strix 1060. Listening to you i'm definitively going for the EVGA SC.
Which GTX 1060 Should you Buy?
"Yes"
What about i5 2500
Thanks for an illuminating review! In my case the timing was perfect since I'm exploring options for building my son's first PC. Keep up the good work!
I am buying gtx 1060 3gb and i3 8100 for some content creation and 1080p gaming as here in india 6gb card prices are inflated a lot
@Lipscomb wot
I'm astonished about Tech Deals channel, it should have 1 million Subscribers instead 150+K subscribes because it's the best!
Man, you're videos have helped me out on multiple occasions. Thanks for making these!
Ill just leave a like and thatll solve the problem.
Why CPU temp idle that much like from 46-57, or 55-80 and then back? 11:00 in video for example it went up to 80 deg and then back to 50.
I am happy i have the superclocked 1060👍
Thank you sir.

hey m8, im from Brazil and i was looking for a channel like this, where we have a nice and technical reviews and not just some kind of AMD or NVIDEA guy pushing the fishes for one or another, ur reviews are tottally free of this kind of tendency, and i congrat u for it. Keep the nice work man, really nice one, i just subscribed and i'm going to share ur channel everywhere! cheers! ( sorry about my bad english )
That... is how a review should be done. Thank you!
Best channel there is on TH-cam. Maybe not so interesting to most people, but you're entertaining, the videos are very well planned and I learn a lot from them. So in my opinion this is the best channel on TH-cam. Keep making videos!
you should do a similar video but for the rx480
RX 470 version soon
Tech Deals that's the video I'm waiting!
Is rx470 = rx480? I don't think so.
The RX 470 is 90% of the performance of the 480, almost everything that is said about one is true about the other, they are largely the same cards...
yes or no, answer my question!
Your channel is great. The way you laid information for user with no basic in these things is great. Keep doing what you are doing!
Man that checkered shirt is trippy af for my eyes
@ 3:21 How did you get all five cards into your PC? :)
Some lube does the trick
I needed a in between card till I switch over to 4k monitor(s)
Bought the Asus gtx 1060 from Newegg. Mostly based on the game bundle. It comes with DoW3 (I really wanted this game.) AND a choice of For Honor or Ghost Recon Wildlands. All for $199! Fantastic deal! Thanks for the great videos!
What do u guys think about Evga gtx 1060 3 gb and intel pentium g4560 with B250 is that anything good
You will be fine at 1080p for a year or two, that's with new AAA games
cpu intensive games won't perform as well as an i5 or i7.....lol or RYZEN possibly. imho the gtx 1050ti is best suited for that cpu
1060 3 gb kicks TI's ass, see reviews comeon
lol i never said anything contradicting that. the 1060 is twice the card. i have one in this machine right now. fact of the matter is on certain games the pentium G will not get the most out of the 1060, but it will get the most out of the 1050 ti. why leave performance on the table by using an underpowered cpu? i like to balance my pc's properly but he can always upgrade his cpu in the future so that's an option.
for gaming, if u wanna utilize the 1060 to its fullest, get a 4core processor, 4 real cores outperform 2 with HT every day. i would wait for ryzen tho, might be cheaper and better or at least might cause the intel prices to drop, just wait for the perfect deal, it aint much time left
GOOD REVIEW.. i always had trouble buying certain series of cards like before with the 600 series to the 900 series like the 970gtx. Now since i am upgrading to a 1060gtx i am having a hard time picking certain model for this series.. but with your review i am going with the EVGA sc EDITION.
none...buy a Rx 480
Did you watch the video? :)
No thanks.
Vishal Patel the 1060 still out performs the 480 and it wasn't stated the price drop of all 10 series card since 1080ti announcement
Why would I ever want AMD drivers and software. Plus the rx 480 is more expensive.
I went with the Rx480, i just wish I got the 8g instead of the 4g.
Hi TechDeals, love the videos!
Was just curious if my zotac mini 1060 is fine at 82c without overclocking at load.
That is a bit warm, but it should be fine... if you can add a fan to your case, that might help...
Tech Deals Thank you for the quick response! I'll definitely look into it
Bob hey buddy I have got a zotac mini gtx 1060 3gb, mine runs at 72 max auto fan speed.
you have no idea how long i spent trying to find this exact info out. thank you!
Sir, I think Gigabyte Gtx 1060 Xtreme gaming oc edition graphics card is much better.
NoveRohn Brooklyn its the best
Bought one Asus ROG 1060 Strix in 2021, they are still great
TechDeals are u going to get ryzen cpus on the day of release so maybe we can expect a video within the first days of lunch?
i'm blown away by your presentation very simple easy to follow clear easy to understand even by a novice mind you have to know something but i'm totally impressed .i've been itching to upgrade my 760 oc card last year i was forced to build new pc vs upgrade my video card it was not in the budget at that time 1060 look worth the upgrade saves me power usage to ..i plan to buy the out of the box 1060 i do not oc i rather have it pre ready thank you for explaining these cards ..
is there a gtx 1050 ti 2017 edition?
Not yet, but there will be...
MrTrollAlex did u connect the vga cable to ur video card port? the one that goes to ur monitor the blue one.
did you get it fixed?
Did you first deleted all the old graphics drivers? If you didn't then you can get those problems.
Why do you only few hundred thousand are subscribed? This is the best reviewer I had ever watched! Hmmm imma share your YT on my facebook. :)

Nice comparison, man. Not just for show, but an in-depth review of the cards. I'm starting to watch related vids because Im torn between the different 1060s and 570s - 3GB/4GB respectively coz WALLET PROBLEMS :(
Thanks, you da man!
Can I survive with 6gb msi 1060 for next 3-4 years. Plz reply
+Universal Carry Yes
Tech Deals ty for really quick answer, I guess I am going to buy 1060 msi 6gb now
Yes sure but at 4th year you might have to play with low settings on 1080p to get 60fps and that wil on some games not all of it
Universal Carry I'll give it a 2-3 years survival rating.
Ben ohh I did.
Really impressed how my little system handles it 👌🏼
Great reviews btw 👍🏼

They both perform exactly the same. It's just AMD are known to be clunky and loud and annoying.

For now - 1060

Boy did this video help me out! I really appreciate your extensive look at picking a good graphics card. Awesome! Great job!
Awesome Video!!! Just what i was looking for! Please keep up these detailed videos, they help so much thank you!!
Excellent review. You talked about everything about these 1060 cards. What's the name of music on 17:55?
i was in a big dilemma between the evga 1070 ftw and the strix 1060 6gb.
Always good videos, with the addition of text for non english speakers.
Well deserved like.
this video helped a lot i was planning to get the ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB ROG STRIX OC Edition but thought it was out of my price range and this really put me where to look thanks!
This was a really well done comparison. Thanks
thank you for the diction!
So glad I found your channel :) I am about to build my first pc. I think I will go with the ryzen 5 1600 and the gtx 1060 6gb
really good, clear and complete video! you clearly did a lot of research. im going with the gigabyte g1
So I was gonna get the mini evga one as my last evga card was super reliable. But I found a dual fan gigabyte for only 220. Not the g1 gaming a different one so I went with that. Hopefully I like how it runs as I have never bought one of their products.
That was an incredible, thorough, and entertaining video. Well done.
Should I get the Nvidea GeForce GTX 1060 Founder's Edition for 300$ off of the Nvidia.com website? Is it better then any of these?
You know... the one Nvidia stealthily launched. The new model with 6gigs of GDDR5/X
I think I found my new youtube go to tech guy. No commercial, no skits and he's not a hipster!
Nice work, review and comparision!
as not not fluent english speaker, i can hear all the words you said clearly. new subs here, from now on i will get more suggestion from this channel.
The most perfect video ever. Literally all the information I like to know inside one video. Great video!
Love this video, clear and concise. keep doing what you're doing. such a big help to us consumers!
Nice video! Everything was crystal clear.
Great Video! I know now to go with the EVGA!
This was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
have the evga superclocked and love it. I am not one to overclock so that is why this one was the obvious choice for value and performance
Love your Vids man. Keep it up. You helped me decide which graphics card I should get and i have decided for the Strix from Asus. Your vids have really helped me. I know this is comment is a little late but i really appreciate your content.
Nicely done! This was a very helpfull video cause nowadays it's really hard to pick your perfect 1060
I love your videos! Very informative and well structured
