The best video I have seen for this light. Finally someone who offers practical usage and not only an unboxing.
This is hands down the best use and review for this light...perfection..deffo got sold!
Finally someone letting us know about the camera settings while using the lights . Thanks and very informative
The time and patient you set up the lights in the forest is just inspiring. You make it look soo easy. Keep doing what you do man!!!
I love your review of the light. It shows that you do not need much to create great storytelling tools, just a bit of creative juice and just do it.
I love how you make things so easier and provide useful information for a novice like me. As i'm exploring film-making I know lighting is a key element for me to master. I just hit that follow!!
I already had one Zhiyun Molus X100 Combo and after watching your video have just ordered a second, plus an extra battery. Thank you for taking the time and effort in making such a pleasurable story to watch :-)
I dont know Anders but from nowhere when iam watching your videos I got so inspired and ready to film everything. Thank you so much for you and whole VJUS crew. Love yall!!!
That kitchen looks familiar. ;) Loved the lonely shots and mood of the scenes. You convinced me that setting up lights in different positions and staying creative can be rewarding here, even when you're alone. I'll definitely try to experiment a little more in the future in that area. Thanks for always inspiring me!
This is the best review of this product that I could find. You did great.
Thanks for this super cool demo! Love seeing how excited you were to try different shoots with this light. Also, it’s funny how when you’re holding it, it almost looks like you’ve got a camera in your hand, not a flipplin 100 Watt LED light! It’s mindblowing how small, yet high-performing some equipment has gotten. I have a Sony A7C and A7C II and a bunch of compact primes. This kind of light is right up my alley. =)
Excellent discovery and great review as always!
this video was amazing! thank you guys for sharing!
Love your videos boys! And this light really does seem amazing, might have to buy it for my upcoming feature film this summer!
I’m sold on this. I don’t have a lot of money or space for lights so I’ve always avoided shooting in the dark but I think I’m definitely going to buy this. Thank you
I ordered one straight away after seeing your video!!!! Its a perfect little light!!!!
Great review! Looks like a fantastic little light.
Loved the video! Thank you for all the behind the scenes also - will be back to learn more :)
Wow that is bright. Thanks for this review I really enjoy watching your videos.
Amazing video Anders! It looked so fun when you did the testing alone. I am also alone and have nobody to help me, I wanna try to experiment myself this weekend :-)
It is incredible how far the lighting has come in the past years.
Thanks Vegard. Try that! You learn so much experimenting :)
The best review on MOLUS x100. I don't even need it but this video convinced me to have one
Really cool! I didn't know that these lights exists. They seem awesome
Very interesting light! Cool video with great examples!👌🏻great to see what you can get with such a small light.
Thank you for the review. I just bought one. I am using a blue gel for my night scenes. Thank you!
Great video, Anders! I still use Aputure 120d mk2 as the main light. Hope you guys are well.
I won't lie, after seeing that 3 light setup and how you were able to do that so easily sold me. I just wish they sold a bundle of 3 for one set price LOL.
Your examples pained the picture of how useful these lights can be.
Great work guys !
I am a bit late to the show, but this was an awesome review and demonstration. And yes, I have just ordered one. Thanks for what you do!
At 10:40 would have been awesome to have the color temp and other settings displayed over each image. Great video. !!
This will be very helpful for wedding filmmakers.
Thank you for another great video.
great video! you did some good test with the light and wow what a power for such a small size. i kinda want to buy it now 😅
Its really a brilliantly designed light.
You guys are so inspiring! Great video!
Thanks. What do you like the best? We are always looking at making better videos :)
@@Andyax I really iked the way you combined your thoughts on the light with educational content. Ideas on how you create different moods and how simple it can be makes me want to grab my camera, some light and go to forest at night too 😁
so great. thank you!!
Excellent video!
Have you guys ever tried out the colbor 100x it seems to have really similar specs and functionality . It also has a pretty inovative design.
I thought they were a little more expensive for me, I am getting the CX100 now. Well done Zhiyun
Thank you for such a useful video. Is it possible to use this light for product photo shootings?
My favorite video on this light 💡
Now that's a useful and affordable light system o.o
Thank you
9:45 alone time* 😊 such an interesting video. Thanks man!
Nice 👌🏻 and what stand model you using with travelling?
I hate to say it because I am a Brit and I am jealous or your efficiency but you are great and I am going to buy this on credit card right now because you have convinced me. Actually subscribed to you which I hate as well because you know I am a Brit....
someday i will visit you in oslo 🙈 super sympathetic channel 🙌🏽
It’s really handy❤❤❤
Good one l like it
nice old school review. 2x👍
I've got to stop watching gear videos on Andyax...... I need to buy lights now.... (not really but I'm always tempted being a gear nut.) PS... Run Anders... RUN!
Hehe. You will get to see them in August at the workshop! Then you can test them out :)
I think it would work much better in the forest scene if kept it subtle at 6500K then pushed the white balance to the cooler side and lowered the strength a bit and bring ISO higher if you had a7SIII/FX3/FX6.
I like it, I just wish they made a D version for more power and I could just gel down for warmth
was looking for that but couldn't find it. I always go with D and gel down
Sorry Andyax can you tell me what is the advantage of putting the light outside the car? Thank you very much I follow you since the beginning
The forest use 💪🏾
Looks great except for the color change problem.
Is it 100 watts when you're using both LED chip set colors?
Or is it 100 or what equally with one color temperature?
Connecting the original adapter, turning on 100% brightness, any color temperature can output full power.
@@chenlyn-cj8ve hows that possible? most bi color lights have two sets of LEDs.
Hvor kan man kjøpe dette i Norge?
eller bestilte dere fra utlandet?
Would you happen to know what it measures in lux at 20ft (spot equivalent config)? Thanks!
No reflectors, 25℃ temperature, indoor illuminance lower than 0.1lux, test distance 1m, and the color temperature is set at 4300K with 100% brightness. The illuminance is 3881 lux.
Installed reflector, 25℃ temperature, indoor illuminance lower than 0.1lux, test distance 1m, and the color temperature is set at 4300K with 100% brightness. The illuminance is 17317
lux.
Thanks for that! Very helpful.
My reference is always my $150 2K fresnel at 1M which is almost 200 000 Lux.
can you use V-Lock batteries with this?
Then you need an adapter cable. You can also use power banks that has 100w out.
How can i find the square soft box i cant find it anywhere ??
Do you mean the storage Bag? It is only included in ZHIYUN MOLUS X100 Combo and Pro package.
These are great! But price is high here, gonna wait till it drops down.
thats actually not a bad price for what it is.. if the quality holds up its a great deal
small and powerful
3:23 Is the adapter included with the light?
it's included in the Combo and Pro package of the X100
Every gear you review makes me eager to buy ! Soo many insight, u giving examples, not just the gear, but how we implement those ideas with the gear..Your review is just too good ! 🤌
how long does the battery last with full light?
About 30 minutes.
I don't even mind if they double the size and make it 200w...that will be crazy too.
You could add resistors and make it a 1000w light😁
Intervjuet Jo Nesbø? Kult!
Ja :)
Help full 🫶🏻
What battery do you use?
I purchased the Pro Kit and it came with the battery. I believe it is proprietary
MarkusPix is the only one to put these head to head with other 100W lights and these are about half as bright as others like the Amaran but the cost is much higher. Nice form factor but terrible value
I've seen a couple of comments mentioned his video. Keep in mind that this lamp is bi-color. It seems like Bi-color LED lamps does output less. Just look at the LUX comparison between Aputure 60D and 60X. The small size, side-battery and bi-color with yet so much output is what makes the x100 so exciting.
-yea
👍
Got it few months ago
I’ve seen this lamp on a different review last week.
If only I had the cash..🤔😳😫😩
Have you seen MarkusPix video about this Light? :D
We haven't! Is it good?
@@Andyax He thinks the light is overpriced and not very bright.
@@thepropolys well it’s true. No TH-camr has provided lux values still. Don’t want to say because zhiyun won’t send them anymore freebies. Pr machine go burrr
@@kpx976 Here in this video at 0:42 they mention the LUX being 17800 at 1M while using the reflector.
@@AndresArosemena so its overpriced for what it is, and the start up time is not great. also thats the manufacturers lux values... i would take that with a pinch of salt.
Did anyone buy this? Worth it?
Definitely worth it
you can never replace a real hmi fresnel tho
its about practicality. an HMI wont fit into a backpack and it costs much more.
First to get here
I'm third!
Would over a shout out please, will add value to me as a fan
This light is nearly FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Get absolutely bent.
What? I think it’s 249😂
@@bryanol1511 in U.S, try living elsewhere it’s more then double
@@Rsp42 Not interested! lol Is this the case with most camera gear? also, where are you from?
500 dollars?
edit your audio properly there is lots of "esssss"
Hmm, that's strange. It sounded good at the office. Is it the whole video?
@@Andyax yess
@@Andyax nope, his computer is broken!
@@Andyax esses are pronounced on my speakers too
Cmon guys Ive been watching your videos for ages but I skip them lately as I hate those ads for companies...sucha shame you guys are going downhill...
Hi Gregory. That's sad to hear. I (Anders) love lighting and was super excited to be able to have time exploring this small light for different moods and share my experience with lighting techniques. I hoped it would be valuable for our viewers. Without a sponsor we cannot as a film production company make videos unfortunately.
May I ask what kind of videos you like from the channel and/or if you have ideas on how we can integrate the sponsor?
@@Andyax that was actually really cool and informative.
idiotic clickbait title
If you want to test the durability, do what Thomas from @EpicLightMedia does. Throw it off the roof and then test it again haha. Speaking of Thomas, what happened to Thomas who used to make the music for VJUS?
Thomas started working another place as clients rarely wanted composed music, unfortunately. But we hope to get him back soon! :) Check out this video where I visit Thomas: th-cam.com/video/MZz5QTvT6eI/w-d-xo.html
Oh, that's a shame. But I'm glad he's still busy. I can't wait to check this video out!
