I had to laugh when you said you found the sugar in your flaxseeds. The same thing happened to me when I bought frozen vegetables! Imagine my shock when I read the label and it had fructose! Read the book sweet poison and saw that sugar film the documentary. Eye opening!
I will always tell you the truth (and the whole story) about everything. That's what you deserve. It bothers me greatly that we live in a word where truth-telling is so rare. You can count on me.
Thank you, Dr. Barbie! It has been some time since I’ve left a comment, however I am usually able to watch your videos, and am still so very grateful for you! This is such solid truth, the facts for us women. While I understand that you’re teachings are directed to mostly women, this one stung me, as my beloved niece (my deceased sisters only child, more like my own) passed in her sleep at age 50 from a heart attack. It’s been three years and we all sorely miss everything about her. My amazing brother in law, a veterinarian owning his own practice for many years, recently passed from the long term effects of diabetes, left unchecked, that then caused cancer, and finally heart failure. We have these God given bodies, and we are our only caregivers...thank you for this one, I love you! ❤️
I did this in the Q&A video about myself that my staff MADE me do. You've probably noticed that my TH-cam channel is not about me, or what I do, or how you should do what I do. It's about YOU. But, I have done one Q&A to answer all the most common questions people ask me.It aired on October 2, 2018, and the title of the video is Q&A.
Neck pain, back pain, jaw pain, no pain! See you taught me well! I looove sugar, but now my eyes are fully opened to how much it doesn't love me back. A divorce from my sweety is the only answer. X
I always thought our food supply was making people fat. I remember being in school in the 70's and you rarely saw an overweight person. Flash forward to today and you don't see many normal weight people.
You are normal, my dear. Menopause is THE most neglected topic on earth, despite the fact that 50% of the world's;ulation spends 50% of their lives in the state of menopause! It's a shame.
I really appreciate this series on heart attacks.I was cautious with sugar and white flour but recently cut them out completely for my present and long term health It drives my friends crazy whatever. I had no idea that avoiding sugar would help prevent a heart attack that's not why I stopped eating it but now I understand this very important reason that I was unaware of. Thank you so much 💖
It truly, truly saddens me to see obesity BALLOON! I struggle to see mother’s having Tostino pizzas 🍕(because it’s 5 for $10), colas and cereals 😔 in their grocery carts...but, no fresh produce of any kind.
Exactly. Unfortunately we've got everything upside down. It is much cheaper to eat processed foods that have had all the nutrients stripped out of them than int is to eat whole, fresh foods that haven't been touched. The food industry has done everything it can to dupe you into believing that they can improve on nature. They can't.
Best diet is whole food, plant based ! You adjust to less sugar, your taste buds sharpen and you enjoy the tastes of whole foods.... restaurant food becomes too sweet, fatty, salty. When I get a sweet craving, I'll have a small portion dried fruit and some sort of nuts. Or cook sliced apples with raisins, cinnamon and clove. Ground dates in my tea. Dr. Greger has some marvelous information on TH-cam and several books including a cook book if you are interested in checking it out further.
It is sooo confusing when every 10 yrs or so doctors change their opinion regarding what’s good vs bad in the diet. Our Drs told us to eat less fat back in the 70s so of course we tried to do what our drs advised us to do. You put your trust in them because your trying to do what’s right. Then they make a 180 and we trust them again hoping to do what’s healthy. In 10 more years they will reverse again! It’s so frustrating and I’m an RN and have been working in the medical field for over 40 years! You start to lose trust in your Drs which is so unfortunate especially when you truly follow their advice just to be told “Oh wait. Everything we told you was wrong” 🤬. I remember when the Atkins diet became popular in the 80s and then it went out of “style” for many years and now it’s all the rage again renamed as keto. Not exactly the same but very similar. Now extreme keto advocates make you feel like fruit is evil due to its sugar content. I can’t imagine life without fruits and vegetables and eating mainly meat, eggs, cheese, bacon and avocados but people swear it’s a “ cure all”. I think any extreme elimination of a food group is not a great sustainable idea. Of course eating fruit all day long would be way too much sugar. I guess that’s why a balanced meal of real Whole Foods 3 times a day works best for me. It’s just so crazy that the definition of a healthy diet depends on which Dr or chiropractor you talk to that day. And it will redefined in 10 yrs when they say oops! Everything we told you 10yrs ago was wrong. Also I question a “Dr” (usually a chiropractor) who tells you to eliminate basic food groups but recommends you talk 10 or more supplements he selling on line🤔. That makes no sense to me at all. I hope Dr Barbie can clear it all up for us. She seems to make more sense than most. Thanks Dr Barbie! Keep bringing us the “TRUTH”
Thank you Dr Taylor!! So true. Again you're a wealth of information which is life saving. I do wish I had all your information you share here much sooner in life especially before perimenopause preferably as a teen. I will admit I would've shut off all the info on sugar. Oh, been hooked on sugar all my life. I will tell you a horrible story. When I was a little girl I hated dairy except chocolate milk or ice cream. I didn't like meat except the skin on baked chicken lol. I was thought to be extremely skinny. So, my grandmother always gave me chocolate milk when I visited her & my other family members gave me....drum roll coca cola with sweetened condensed milk. Thus I believe began my love of all things sweet & sugar. If I would eat it, they'd encourage it. Candy as a child was fun. We'd take our pennies & go down to the local store for sugar in a straw stick ( forget the name) & those candy string necklaces. Now, eating too much fat is not a problem but lowering my sugar is. Oh when my cholesterol got high I had no problem giving up what meat I did eat. Didn't help, exercised more just felt a bit better. Gave up some sugar & became a diet coke aholic . After being invaded by cocci I gave up diet coke which was very hard along with processed foods and sugars. Aside from losing weight due to being hospitalized and extremely ill I was still overweight. The culprit, sugar. I hope everyone hear takes this tutorial seriously. Take the list of sugar names shopping with you. Please know that the white stuff- breads, pasta all of that processed stuff turns into sugar in our bodies. Yes, our brains need glucose but our livers will make it. The last thorn in my side, great temptation, sweetened coffee with cream. But I've made huge strides and by the grace of God will-am conquering that too. Please do not give your children or grandchildren sweets as a treat. Natural fruits as beautiful & tasty too. Balance & moderation. I'm rambling. Thank you Dr Taylor as I'm reading and learning more each day. 💝
And I will add that before menopause it was much easier to give up 'bad' food type products. Exercise was easier so I encourage everyone to watch your tutorials from the beginning to make the best choices for each one personally preferably before menopause.
I definitely have to start looking at food labels on things I would never have guessed contain added sugar, like the flax seeds you mentioned. Wow, that was a surprise!
When you start looking at ingredients, the presence of sugar with astound you. However, the food industry tries to rick you by listing the 56 different types of sugar individually. You are unfamiliar with most of the names for sugar. So, you don't recognize that it's sugar. This should be illegal, but it isn't. The food industry has rules that allow it to mislead you. That's why I teach you the facts.
I’m in Toronto. I would love to meet with you sometime. Every year we have a show here called menopause the musical.. I’m going thru surgical menopause and never thought about what menopause might be...its has not happened to attend this show yet, but I’m planning to attend some day. I also wanted to take one to one session with you, but then life happened all of a sudden dealing with my aging dad...but once things are settled a bit I want sessions with you, lots of Love & hugs
Menopause the Musical is wonderful. I've seen it twice. You'll love the music. They've used familiar songs and changed the lyrics: Puff, my God, I'm dragging'; Staying Awake (instead of Staying' Alive); etc. Go! You'll love it, and you'll laugh a lot.
But, they're lumping all "added sugars" together. That, too, is a big problem and filled with hiding facts. This issue is so much worse than you can possibly imagine.
It is so true that when we gave up fat we gained weight! I won’t buy anything with more than 5 grams of sugar and I check to see what kind of sugar! Thanks 🙏🏻
OMG! I just made a personal connection to sugar! My Nana and Papa were French, so home baked sweets and breads were our staples. Nana baked cookies, cakes, breads and pies non stop. It wasn't unusual for us to sport berry-stained fingers from picking wild berries in the woods. Living on the river Papa fished almost daily so we ate fresh trout almost daily as well. We rarely had beef. A steady diet of chicken too. Your video helped me understand how a healthy man may have died of a heart attack at 57. It was the sugar! (with a little help from butter too ;) oh those fresh croissants !! )
I had a heart attack 19 years ago and I have one stent. I’ve learned through your videos that estrogen cannot help me and could be dangerous. I also have osteoporosis and would like to know what I can do for my bones.
Schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I will tailor everything specifically to YOU and help you assess all your options. I do them all via video.
Gorgeous lavender outfit! Wow! I knew about the low fat movement and how they compensated with sugar but I had no idea about sugars link to heart attack ! 56 different kinds of sugar Wow! Great info here! I knew fructose was bad but had no idea it causes heart attacks. Thanks for this valuable information! I hope to pass it onto some friends!
I'll be addressing it in the tutorials on diet for preventing a heart attack. But, if you want to CAUSE a heart attack the keto diet is the best way to do it.
@@MenopauseTaylor I am looking forward on hearing your points why keto (which form of doing keto) should cause heart attack! As from my understanding keto consists of lots of (green) vegetables, (healthy) fats, moderate protein and very low carbohydrates. When are those tutorials coming?
Menopause Taylor I absolutely do. I just entered into the possibility of being in menopause, I've missed 7 periods. Wanted to see a gynocologist to discuss possibilities but I got a dud, respectfully. I'm sure you're a very rare treasure in this field. So again, YES I do appreciate your tireless efforts and dedication to us girls💖 Knowing if half the battle as they say, and you make sure we have the education to work with for the other half. Much love, Barbie 🤩
My husband and I use this because we're on Keto. It's good because it doesn't spike your blood sugar levels and it tastes good. We buy it either on VitaCost site or Amazon. And make sure it's non GMO 😊
Just dont use too much of it. I had Montezuma's Revenge when I had 3-4 cups of coffee with that stuff in it. I thought I was gonna have to move my PC into the bathroom. lol
Erythritol is one of many sugar alcohols. But, despite the name "sugar alcohol", it is neither a sugar nor an alcohol. Most foods labeled "sugar-free," or "no sugar added" contain a sugar alcohol, often erythritol. Like all sugar alcohols, erythritol is a carbohydrate, but your body does not fully digest or metabolize it, So, it an cause cramping bloating, or diarrhea. It's much more expensive than sugar, costing 500 - 700 time more.
Hello my dear teacher. Most of the times you shocked me (I knew practicaly nothing on hormones and menopause and perimenopause), but luckily sometimes I am prepared...and "sugar" is one of the themes where I am prepared. I studied food labels, nutrition and biochemistry in depth and I knew sugar is a cause of many diseases. However it is almost impossible to avoid it in my country. I was criticized and taunted (and I am still!) because I try to avoid sugar and because I do not feed my kid with ice creams and sugary snacks all the time. In the last 10 days I attended two funerals ...it was heart attack both times and they were not so old!! We obviously NEED EDUCATION on this subject! And one more thing: yesterday I went to my Gynecologist, just for a check up, and my dialogue with her went so smooth...I know understand better her perspective ad a physician. She only cares about preventing very serious diseases, she does not deal with wellbeing or lifestyle. That is up to me and I can consult with others about these issues. THANK YOU SO MUCH, I keep writing this, but you truely changed my life and I love you
Oh, Emanuela, I am so glad that my teachings have helped you so much. You are seeing first-hand that what I teach you is factual. And, of course practical in terms of making sure you know how to get what you want.
In baby steps. First, realize that there are 56 different types of sugar and the food industry has hidden them in almost every food it touches. This is in contrast to Mother Nature, who provided only 3 sources of sugar, all of which were hard to get before the agricultural and industrial revolution: (1) Sugar cane (You have to suck the cane.) (2) Honey (You have to fight the bees) (3) Fresh fruit (you have to grow the fruit.) So, avoid the food industry's products as much as possible. That's a start.
Oh boy! Wait until Ed watches THIS one! Super good tutorial! I searched for the chart on what does and does not contain Fructose on your website to no avail. Would you point me in the right direction? Thank you!
So fruits are ok for us? But do we have to limit fruits or no? Is it about sugar generally or the blood glucose spike? As far I know the fiber in fruits prevents a sugar spike, so how much fruit is safe? Also, is it better to eat fruits in combination with other food (veggies) as to further prevent a sugar spike? I think the vegan keto diet is probably the healthiest.
Thank you for sharing the knowledge of the disease causing effects of sugar. All the inflammation it causes in our bodies should have people research the Keto diet and then make your choice of body fuel: glucose(sugar) or ketones!
Dear doctor Taylor, I live in Italy. Today all the most famous italian news paper report that The Lancet has published the results of a new research that establishes a corralation between the use of hrt and breast cancer. What do you think? Sorry for my english
Giovaanna, I will address this study along with all the others when I get to the unit on breast cancer. Never, never, never react to just one single study. There are dozens of others that are revealed regularly, but you only hear about the alarming ones. And, remember, they did not study YOU. You have to learn all the details of the study and see how similar they are to you in order to make any assessment at all for your personal situation.
Merci docteur ! Ever interesting. Éducation about sugar begins in France. I try to avoir added sugar. And mostly corn syrup which is everywhere. They are more and more NASH in France. Bonne journée.
Menopause Taylor Yes, but not for everything. I am the one with a stroke at 47! Concerning sugar, for 2 years, it is in medias but we have sugar in processed food and it is a desaster. I appreciate your work and admire it. Merci.
It's because nearly every country in the world is following the United States' lead. Even Third World countries have higher rates of obesity and diabetes than previously.
What about organic stevia extract? Would it be better to use a small amount of pure maple syrup or honey instead? I didnt realize there was a risk of pancreatic cancer and artificial sweeteners!!! :*/...Thank you for this valuable information. I use stevia every day.
Oh dear, Dr Taylor. Please look over the latest hrt/breast cancer scare. And put our minds at ease. The stats mention double the original percentage but if I remember correctly from one of your earlier videos the actual numbers we’re sensationalized. I’m not going to stop until I hear from you 😀 and as your making clear in these latest videos breast cancer can be cured but your first heart attack could be your last. 💔

Honey is sugar, too, but its a natural sugar. It's best if you train your taste buds to dislike it. Try this: Omit all sugar for about one month. When you taste it again, you'll be shocked at how disgusting it is. That should tell you something.
The great thing about this education is that you can use it (or refuse it) as you please. You never have to justify your choices to anybody. The goal is to empower you to manage YOUR menopause YOUR way.
I just had my blood work and have high cholesterol. But my good cholesterol is outstanding. I’m 52 I eat my fruits vegetables and drink my water. I gave up sugar years ago. I can’t see how my cholesterol could be high. I’m in menopause and take estrogen patches. What else do I need to do
No need to do anything if your "good" cholesterol is driving the high numbers. Studies have shown high overall cholesterolPROTECTS menopausal women from strokes, heart attacks, and infections and dying before your time. Low cholesterol in menopausal women causes heart attacks, strokes ect. Its different for men and younger women but its important to maintain HIGH cholesterol after menopause if you're a woman. Cholesterol is the precursor to hormones like growth hormones and sex hormones which drive repair systems in the body. With low cholesterol the body can't repair itself quick enough and you begin rapidly aging compared to menopausal women with high cholesterol.
This is the kind of thing that warrants a consultation. There are many things you can do, but they are not all equally beneficial for different women. But I can definitely help you find some solutions. It will require tailoring everything to YOU. I'm in the business of educating you about everything you need to know and do in order to get exactly what you want for managing your menopause your way. So, here's how a consultation works: 1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. I do consultations on Skype, FaceTime. Facebook Messenger, What’s App, and the phone. 2) I would send you an email to confirm that you are scheduled for the stated time, and invite you to send me as much information about yourself as you please. You can make it brimming with details and tell me about your reproductive life, any gynecologic problems you've had, your symptoms of peri-menopause, and your symptoms of post-menopause. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. For instance, if you want to adhere to a certain category of management options (herbs or diet & lifestyle, or whatever), you should tell me that. I will give you a deadline for sending all materials, and will not accept anything after that date. 3) I'll get busy creating a document that gives you all the education you need to understand absolutely everything, points out the pros and cons of each option, and tailors it all to YOU, using the information you have provided. The document will be loooooong. Most are over 30 pages. 4) I will send you the document by email 48 hours before your consultation. You will benefit greatly by reading it in advance. Light bulbs will go off like crazy, and if you're like most women, you'll feel that you've already gotten your money's worth. 5) During your consultation, we will review the document and address any issues you want in order to fine tune everything and determine your best options. I'll tell you exactly how to find the right kind of professional, how to have the conversation in order to get what you want, and the nuances of things like guidelines and insurance. I leave nothing unaddressed. 6) You will go to a professional of your choosing in order to get the actual hormones or whatever you choose to use. 7) After the first consultation, I'll hold your hand (forever if you want me to). In other words, you'll be able to schedule mini-consultations (15-minute or 30-minute, in addition to full consultations) whenever you need to. I'll keep records of your situation. Most women schedule mini-consultation whenever they go to the doctor and don't understand what he or she said, or why. I translate. I make sense of everything. Most schedule mini-consultation whenever they have a new test and they want me to explain the results. And all schedule mini-consultation whenever their situation changes and they need to re-weigh and re-balance their options. The time you spend with me will make everything about working with any other professional so easy. And they will love the fact that you have an actual education rather than a bunch of misconceptions that you got form the Internet. If your initial hormone regimen is not right, you'll want to consult with me before going to your doctor. I can prepare you for what to expect and what to request. So, that's my role. And nobody else on earth does this kind of thing but me. So, I hope you schedule a consultation and let me hold your hand (figuratively). I hope to meet you soon!
You're getting ahead of where we are in this unit on heart attack. Please believe me when I say thatI will leave no stone unturned. Just watch these videos in order, and I promise you I'm going to address your question in detail.
It maybe used to assumed that sugar can be burnt off if you exercise. Fat is gonna stay fatty in your body. However we need certain fats to keep our cells functioning. We don't have corn syrup as much in the UK. But we not innocent. When they put sugar in fries its unbelievable.
I had a question before i keep forgetting (ha!). Have you ever seen women needing more than 1 mg of Estradiol? I asked my doctor and she said no, 1 mg is the max dosage.
Wrong! Women are not robots. We are not all the same. Our needs span the gamut. Many women need more. Many women take more. I think your doctor was really telling you that 1 mg is all he's willing to give you. If so, he doesn't know much about menopause. It's like a wedding dress: You make the dress fit you. You don' tchange your size to fit the dress. Finding the right estrogen dosage is no different.
@@MenopauseTaylor Thank you. I'm trying to save money for a consult. I am on 1 mg Estradiol and i have to admit i have an Estrogen cream (OTC, naturopathic) that DOES WORK however much weaker than Estradiol but i've been using that in addition to my RX Estradiol and wow, libido came back as well as a feeling of well being! BUT...quite a while ago when i was ONLY on Estradiol 1 mg, my blood test came back "slightly high" for a post menopausal woman according to my doc. Well, we all want to know is it OK to be on the dosage that makes you FEEL great but is high according to blood work?
This is precisely the kind of thing I will address in a consultation. It isn't conducive to this platform. In fact, addressing levels of hormones is one of the to[ics I cover in all consultations, mostly because relying on blood work will get you nowhere.
I know sugar is not good for us. It's just so addictive once we eat it. How much sugar can we consume in a day since its in all of our foods? 3 grams? Good information in this video. xoxo
I remember the low-fat fad. It didn’t help my PCOS or my atopic eczema. And I believe that my teenage diet sodas and fake fats contributed to my bladder nerve pain (my endometriosis and fibroids didn’t help.)
You're right. It seems that we get goofier and goofier with the fads we try. Now it's gluten-free and juicing. What ever happened to just eating real, unprocessed, unadulterated food?
Ah, but that is a different topic altogether. That's why I discuss your dietary options for preventing a heart attack in three totally separate videos: One for fats, one for fiber, and one for sugar. Keep watching my videos in order, and you'll get all the facts.
Thank you! I was so wrong about my 🍫 🍬 🍪 🍦 🥧 ☕️ and gaining weight!! Sugar is now making me 😡 It comes in pretty packages, it’s a deceitful little fructose!!! I better start making changes!
I love knowing that these lessons are giving you the fact you deserve to make choices that are right for YOU. I hate deceit. Unfortunately, it's everywhere ... especially on food packages.
I think that the obesity epidemic has been caused and continues to be driven by food addiction - triggered by foods that are high in saturated fat, sugar and salt. This combination is very addictive to the human brain. The fast food and convenient snack food industries has definitely figured this out and have scientifically engineered their products to induce addiction similar to what the tobacco industries did to hook people on to tobacco products.
Sugar and fats especially the bad kinds. Fats have the highest caloric density of any food. Also American’s today eat 6 times the meat that they did in the 1960s. We eat the diet of kings and queens choosing processed fat and sugar instead of our fruit and veggies. People are not lining up for veggie soup they are lining up for ice cream and Chick Fillet. Lol! ❤❤❤
Thanks for the information, once again, you are a wealth of knowledge. Does monk fruit coconut sugar or yakon syrup contain fructose? I'm allergic to stevia and running out of options
Yes, both monk fruit and talon syrup contain fructose. Sorry. Try training your taste buds to dislike sugar altogether, and then you'll really be better off. You do this by weaning off all sugar.
Would you be able to comment on the new study by Oxford University in the UK. The study was published in the Lancet and reviewed global evidence on HRT. Scientists found that HRT increases the risk of breast cancer by a third. They also state that the risk persists for more than a decade after stopping HRT. What are you're thoughts?
I will address this at the appropriate. My channel and approach are not like most TH-cam videos, reacting to everything as it becomes public. I find that both irresponsible and irrational. I will address everything in the proper unit and context. But, I will be happy to address anything at all with you in a private consultation. Never, never, never use ONE single study for anything. All it does it keep your head spinning, confusing you more and more every time you hear about the next study. That's no way to gather information or learn anything.
Thank you so much for you're reply. It has caused a lot of uncertainty in the UK. Doctor's are really reluctant to prescribe HRT in the UK. This report is going to make it harder to get treatment.
Yes, it will probably out up even more barriers for women. But, if you find a menopause specialist, they will not be fazed by one more study. The real professionals out everything in context and apply the information to YOU personally rather than acting impulsively and irrationally. This study did not include YOU.
Sugar. Sugar. Sugar. Almost everything has sugar in it. I noticed the sugar increase in low fat and nonfat foods. Fat tastes good so if they take out the fat, the only things to add are sugar and salt. So sad how many obese people there are and doctors push the standard American diet on people and that is why obesity has increased in my opinion. There is more to it but, too much to say here.
I can assure you that almost everything you put in your mouth has sugar, even if it's not listed on the label. That's how pervasive sugar is. The quantity in a tablet is not enough for you to agonize over. Worry about the entire U.S. food supply. It's in everything!
I had to laugh when you said you found the sugar in your flaxseeds. The same thing happened to me when I bought frozen vegetables! Imagine my shock when I read the label and it had fructose! Read the book sweet poison and saw that sugar film the documentary. Eye opening!
Exactly! Beware of the food industry.

Well, we all should know a chiropractor is far from a doctor.
Thank you so much for all the valuable information you provide!! You’re a Godsend!!!
Thank you so much for making these videos - I look forward to them every week!
And I love making them for you. Nothing makes me feel better than knowing I can do something to improve your life and your health.
I thank you for sharing your story. It is an attestation to the addictive powers of sugar. It's the most ubiquitous drug on earth.
That list is staggering!
Thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication. The information you present is so very helpful and you are just a doll...♥
Aren't you kind. Thank you so much for appreciating what I'm trying to do for women. I just love knowing that it's making a difference in your life.
Thank you once again
Your absolutely welcome once again.
Dr. Taylor, ¡what a great video!, ¡Thank you for this invaluable reminder! 😊👏
Love from Canada
Oh, how I love Canada! I lived in Whistler, B.C. I have very fond memories.
Good news about the new food labels--since 2020 they are now required to list ADDED SUGARS! 😉✔️
You’re right reading labels it’s very important. Labels are slowly changing and they’re adding a line for added sugars. Keep vigilant my friends.
But, they're lumping all "added sugars" together. That, too, is a big problem and filled with hiding facts. This issue is so much worse than you can possibly imagine.
I don't get why adding "all added sugars" is a problem? If they're all added, they're all unnecesary, right?
As always you are a ver smart cookie hahha❤👍🧚♀️
Aren't you kind. I'm more goof ball than smart.
Thank you so much 🏝🌴🤗
You're welcome!
It is so true that when we gave up fat we gained weight! I won’t buy anything with more than 5 grams of sugar and I check to see what kind of sugar! Thanks 🙏🏻
You see, ally have to do is stop and think for a minute about the big picture. And, voilá! The answers are so obvious.
(with a little help from butter too ;) oh those fresh croissants !! )
It's always good to understand things, even after the fact. And even when it may make you sad. But, at least you'll avoid the same outcome.
So true.
You see. This education is about so much more than menopause. It can benefit everyone.
@@MenopauseTaylor yes!
Great! That is so interessting! What do you think of the ketogenic diet?
I'll be addressing it in the tutorials on diet for preventing a heart attack.
But, if you want to CAUSE a heart attack the keto diet is the best way to do it.
@@MenopauseTaylor I am looking forward on hearing your points why keto (which form of doing keto) should cause heart attack! As from my understanding keto consists of lots of (green) vegetables, (healthy) fats, moderate protein and very low carbohydrates. When are those tutorials coming?
I will give you three videos on dietary options for preventing a heart attack: 169, 170, & 171.
Wow! Very informative! Can you tell us what type of sugars you use?? Thank you for you insight, so happy to
Learn this valuable information! ❤️❤️❤️
Me? I do not eat sugar other than what is in fruit. I eat chocolate, but dark, 85% or more, with little or no sugar.
You’re the best❤️
I feel the same way about you. Than you for appreciating this education.
I can feel your hugs from here.
What do you think of using erythritol to sweeten things?
My husband and I use this because we're on Keto. It's good because it doesn't spike your blood sugar levels and it tastes good. We buy it either on VitaCost site or Amazon. And make sure it's non GMO 😊
Just dont use too much of it. I had Montezuma's Revenge when I had 3-4 cups of coffee with that stuff in it. I thought I was gonna have to move my PC into the bathroom. lol
Bl Schafer 😂
Erythritol is one of many sugar alcohols. But, despite the name "sugar alcohol", it is neither a sugar nor an alcohol. Most foods labeled "sugar-free," or "no sugar added" contain a sugar alcohol, often erythritol.
Like all sugar alcohols, erythritol is a carbohydrate, but your body does not fully digest or metabolize it, So, it an cause cramping bloating, or diarrhea.
It's much more expensive than sugar, costing 500 - 700 time more.
@@MsDee_777 do you use Lakanto brand?
Sugar is the enemy! Thank you Dr. BT. You are brilliant!
Is maple syrup a naturally occurring sugar? It's great in marinades and coffee!! You need a very small amount.
Yes. Maple syrup is a natural sugar. And, since it's sweeter than granulated sugar, you can use less of it.
How do break the cycle of consuming sugar
In baby steps.
First, realize that there are 56 different types of sugar and the food industry has hidden them in almost every food it touches. This is in contrast to Mother Nature, who provided only 3 sources of sugar, all of which were hard to get before the agricultural and industrial revolution:
(1) Sugar cane (You have to suck the cane.)
(2) Honey (You have to fight the bees)
(3) Fresh fruit (you have to grow the fruit.)
So, avoid the food industry's products as much as possible. That's a start.
Oh boy! Wait until Ed watches THIS one!
Super good tutorial!
I searched for the chart on what does and does not contain Fructose on your website to no avail. Would you point me in the right direction? Thank you!
I'll have my staff add it to my website.
Will Ed hate me?
So fruits are ok for us? But do we have to limit fruits or no? Is it about sugar generally or the blood glucose spike? As far I know the fiber in fruits prevents a sugar spike, so how much fruit is safe? Also, is it better to eat fruits in combination with other food (veggies) as to further prevent a sugar spike?
I think the vegan keto diet is probably the healthiest.
There is no "we" in menopause. You need a consultation to tailor everything specifically to YOU.
Thank you for sharing the knowledge of the disease causing effects of sugar. All the inflammation it causes in our bodies should have people research the Keto diet and then make your choice of body fuel: glucose(sugar) or ketones!
I don't know which is worse. They're both killers, that's for sure.
Dear doctor Taylor, I live in Italy. Today all the most famous italian news paper report that The Lancet has published the results of a new research that establishes a corralation between the use of hrt and breast cancer. What do you think? Sorry for my english
Giovaanna,
I will address this study along with all the others when I get to the unit on breast cancer.
Never, never, never react to just one single study. There are dozens of others that are revealed regularly, but you only hear about the alarming ones. And, remember, they did not study YOU.
You have to learn all the details of the study and see how similar they are to you in order to make any assessment at all for your personal situation.
thank you. I love your channel and all the informations you give as
You can always count on the truth and the whole story from me.
So what do we use to sweeten? Honey alone??
Natural sugars, like honey or maple syrup are best. But, really, you should try to wean off sugar entirely except for that in fruit.
Merci docteur ! Ever interesting. Éducation about sugar begins in France. I try to avoir added sugar. And mostly corn syrup which is everywhere. They are more and more NASH in France. Bonne journée.
Yes, the situation in France is much better than it is in many other countries.
Jennieo H You should try to rid of all sugars but stevia leaves (in purest form not processed in packets) is from nature
I will address this study along with all the others when I get to the unit on breast cancer.

So can I use honey instead of sugar or do without it?
Honey is sugar, too, but its a natural sugar. It's best if you train your taste buds to dislike it.
Try this: Omit all sugar for about one month. When you taste it again, you'll be shocked at how disgusting it is. That should tell you something.
I can give up sugar. But I won't give up my morning coffee 😆
So, here's how a consultation works:
1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you.
It was all in last week's video on lipids. Your ratio is excellent at 2.8.
You're a very good student.
The factor of sugar in cardiovascular disease is one of 'cause', 'risk', 'correlation' or 'link'? 😉😉😉😉
All of the above. It causes heart attacks either directly or indirectly. You're a very good student.
@@MenopauseTaylor thank you!
what degree of CVD is not harmful when taking HRT? or is any evidence of plaque a no go for HRT?
You're getting ahead of where we are in this unit on heart attack. Please believe me when I say thatI will leave no stone unturned. Just watch these videos in order, and I promise you I'm going to address your question in detail.
It maybe used to assumed that sugar can be burnt off if you exercise. Fat is gonna stay fatty in your body. However we need certain fats to keep our cells functioning. We don't have corn syrup as much in the UK. But we not innocent. When they put sugar in fries its unbelievable.
It's shocking where you can find sugar these days!
$$ Conspiracy $$
There, I said it.
XOXO, and a big THANK YOU for this video.
You are so welcome, my dear.
3 grams? Good information in this video. xoxo
The best things to do is to shooter 0 grams. You'll still get at least 3. It's very difficult to dodge sugar with all food being so processed.
Let’s not forget all the industrial seed oils. Total inflammation in a liquid.
Ah, but that is a different topic altogether. That's why I discuss your dietary options for preventing a heart attack in three totally separate videos: One for fats, one for fiber, and one for sugar. Keep watching my videos in order, and you'll get all the facts.
Menopause Taylor Working my way through 👍🏼
Yes, you are! You are a very good student.
😀😀😀
Thank you!
I was so wrong about my
🍫 🍬 🍪 🍦 🥧 ☕️ and gaining weight!!
Sugar is now making me 😡
It comes in pretty packages, it’s a deceitful little fructose!!!
I better start making changes!
I love knowing that these lessons are giving you the fact you deserve to make choices that are right for YOU. I hate deceit. Unfortunately, it's everywhere ... especially on food packages.
Menopause Taylor thank you!
It's my pleasure, as always.
This is absolutely true.
You missed a trick here. You should have dressed up as a liquorice allsort 😂 or worn a doughnut hat 😂
Good ideas!
There are 56 types of sugers. High fructose is one of the worst cheap.
Sweet!
Sugar. Sugar.
You are correct. It's shocking the more people don't notice that the obesity epidemic began with the low-fat movement.
Great info My H R T pills has sugar in it I take PROGYNOVA oral tablets I read the label last year what should I do
I can assure you that almost everything you put in your mouth has sugar, even if it's not listed on the label. That's how pervasive sugar is. The quantity in a tablet is not enough for you to agonize over. Worry about the entire U.S. food supply. It's in everything!
Is the quantity of peanut oil (Inflammatory oil) in Prometrium a miniscule amount as well? @MenopauseTaylor
