Glad it is not all about family. I have no idea about my birth father's side of the family. My moms side does not have heart attacks and I thank God I do not follow her diet. She takes horrible care of herself. I am grateful that lifestyle plays a huge part in most things. I have exercised most of my life. At the age of 35 I cleaned up my eating and exercise faithfully. And now I am taking estrogen orally and vaginally. This has been life changing for me. Thanks to you I am learning so much from your education.
My father died of a heart attack at the age of just 51. He was a smoker and had a very stressful life. All these 33 years I had been living with the fear that I am pre-disposed to having a heart attack, too. This video is very liberating. I will work on reducing my other risk factors and not focus on my family history. You are my Jewel! I also love your outfits, voice, and music in your videos. Thank you for everything!
You are so very welcome, my dear. I want to urge you to start with video #1 and watch them all in order. I promise that, if you do, you will understand everything and light bulbs will turn on like crazy.
Thank you Dr Taylor for your work and sharing your expertise. I found your channel almost two years ago and it has really helped me! I felt more informed and in-powered when I went in to talk with my practitioner. My mother died of a heart attack and she as well as my older cousin insist on white knuckling it through menopause. I will not do that to my daughter or son. Your information that you share with us each week has really changed my and my family’s life. Thank you ☺️
You have no idea how much ut means to me to know that I can contribute something positive to a better future for you and your family, Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me. I truly love doing this for you, and will dedicate the rest of my life to it. Keep watching, my dear. I'm here to hold your hand.
Yes, sister💋. My mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother all obese, diabetic, gall bladder out, high blood pressure and high cholesterol (no cancer at all). Me: never overweight, lifetime vegetarian now vegan, exercise daily, still have my gall bladder, low blood pressure, low cholesterol. You are what you eat!💋
Thank you once again!!! My mother and her all her siblings had heart problems, they were heavy smokers, overweight and sedentary...We eat mostly all plant based protein and all things healthy, thanks to you I feel so empowered and well educated by your videos and consults we have had.
True. I like to think that's true of many of my videos. You are such a good student and ardent supporter of this education. I love being able to make a positive difference in your life.
I saw my Dad die from heart disease and my Mother’s Mother also had heart problems. I did the Boston heart study and know I must be on medication to control my chostero. And I do exercise 3 days a week.. I am working on my weight as when you are older it doesn’t seem to want to leave. Thanks for all your info you share. Thanks 🙏
It does get much more difficult to maintain your desirable weight after menopause. If you want me to help you understand all the different factors involved, schedule a consultation. I will eventually get to the unit on weight gain, but not for a couple of years. The diseases come first.
Great scenarios. Take time and the hard work to eat healthy food: vegetables fruits nuts beans sockeye salmon Eat less much less Workout with cardio as well as weight The goal is healthy not just losing weight
Bad diet, drinking, smoking and lifestyle are so true. I don't smoke drink, and am eating much healthier now. Lifestyle, well, I'm not exactly well physically and it could be fibromyalgia and a rare neurological problem or maybe even a non genetic version of Charcot Marie Tooth disease....either way I'm in pain and so much more
I have not had contact with my bio family since 1993. I am glad that I do not have any dietary habits in common with my family. Thank God I didn't pick up my moms drinking and smoking habits. I just found out that my dad died. My mom didn't let me have contact with him since age 28 because she is insane I guess. But I do not know the actual cause of death. I know he died in a motorcycle accident at age 87. Maybe it was a heart attack I don't know. But heart attack and stroke runs on both sides of the family. Or maybe riding a motor cycle at age 87 was him trying to finally escape from my mom! Sorry to dump all of this I just found out. I was having severe heart palpitations but I am on HRT and once they took the metal out the palpitations are more calm and less frequent. I almost have none now and they don't come with shortness of breath any more! So relieved! I have been unable to raise my Estrogen levels due to constant bleeding but I am seeing a specialists now and the bleeding is much less and coming under control. But I wish I could have more estrogen for my heart and general well being. I am seeing the specialists tomorrow and I will see what happens. After that I may need to schedule another consult because I am concerned for my liver since I am taking pills now. Anyway sorry to hog your page it is a subject that really applies to all women and of special interests to me! You look so beautiful in that purple! Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple. Regina Brett
Oh, Pinky. I think you have done so well in adopting lifestyle habit that are overcoming any genetic predispositions you may have. I just love being able to have even a small part in helping you do that.
Great information again! Thank you for calling us a family. I have been with you since day one on TH-cam and I feel really good knowing I have you to turn to if I have any issues my own doctor can't help me with. I have been listening to your podcast as well and find the info there great for reinforcing what I've learned on youtube.
Oh, Julie, I just love knowing that you're always here with me. Delivering this information has been more of a passion for me than you can imagine. And you're one of the reasons. Thank you so much of sharing this message.
Holy Cow!...lol...this was great information! Having family that eats the traditional foods and my cholesterol being fairly high, started me and the man to eating even healthier than before. We enjoy our plant-based meals and so do our friends and family when they visit. See you next week!
Hello! I have been watching your videos and want to thank you for such a great contribution to everyone, men and women alike! I have a question and maybe I haven’t gotten there yet (because I am going in order 😊) or I may have missed it. I have not fully reached menopause yet, although periods are getting spaced out farther apart. I am definitely experiencing those hot flashes, getting waken up by hot flashes and dryness though. My doctor prescribed a “low” estrogen dose: Pfizer Prempro .45mg estrogen 1.5mg progesterone. So far, I am planning to go on estrogen therapy, so this seems to be the route to go. My question is this: Is is considered too early to start on hormone therapy considering I am not fully in menopause, and should I expect to go on a higher estrogen dose once I am? Is the goal to be on as low a dose as is needed? Thank you very much for your reply.
You can start HRT whenever you want. But what you really need is to have all this information tailored to you. And I can tell that you're lacking in some of the essential information. Consider having a consultation with me once you get through the videos. (Or whenever.) Just go to MenopauseTaylor.ME to schedule
How do you really feel about statins? What would you do seeing you exercised regularly, ate tons of veg/fruit, nuts, oats, no dairy, no meat except occasional wild caught salmon & yet your numbers just kept going up-especially during peri/postmenopause? Is there a correlation? Would u take statins? What about HRT; is there a connection to increasing levels of cholesterol with diminishing estrogen & will adding HRT along w/the above habits turn it around?
I'll be covering statins in my video airing on December 31. Like everything else, statins have both benefits and risks. What you have to do is tailor all the benefits and risks specifically to YOU. And for that, you should seriously consider scheduling a consultation with me. Your concerns are ll very valid, and you can't just wing it. Please, consider a consultation. I think it will help you a lot.
Ive been on climara pro for about 5 wks, after the second wk, I started bleeding heavily. Not until 2 days ago the bleeding started to diminish. My doctor said to stop the patch for now. Im not going to since the bleeding is light now. Please give me your opinion as to what to do. I just cant stop the patch and Im not going back on the pill. The patch, I find makes me feel so vibrant, more than pill. I know this may sound silly, but I do feel that way.
You need a consultation with me for this. Every situation is different. I'll take the time to explain everything, tailor it to you, and determine your best course of action. Please, give this the attention it deserves. I'm in the business of educating you about everything you need to know and do in order to get exactly what you want for managing your menopause your way. So, here's how a consultation works: 1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. I do consultations on Skype, FaceTime. Facebook Messenger, What’s App, and the phone. 2) I would send you an email to confirm that you are scheduled for the stated time, and invite you to send me as much information about yourself as you please. You can make it brimming with details and tell me about your reproductive life, any gynecologic problems you've had, your symptoms of peri-menopause, and your symptoms of post-menopause. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. For instance, if you want to adhere to a certain category of management options (herbs or diet & lifestyle, or whatever), you should tell me that. I will give you a deadline for sending all materials, and will not accept anything after that date. 3) I'll get busy creating a document that gives you all the education you need to understand absolutely everything, points out the pros and cons of each option, and tailors it all to YOU, using the information you have provided. The document will be loooooong. Most are over 30 pages. 4) I will send you the document by email 48 hours before your consultation. You will benefit greatly by reading it in advance. Light bulbs will go off like crazy, and if you're like most women, you'll feel that you've already gotten your money's worth. 5) During your consultation, we will review the document and address any issues you want in order to fine tune everything and determine your best options. I'll tell you exactly how to find the right kind of professional, how to have the conversation in order to get what you want, and the nuances of things like guidelines and insurance. I leave nothing unaddressed. 6) You will go to a professional of your choosing in order to get the actual hormones or whatever you choose to use. 7) After the first consultation, I'll hold your hand (forever if you want me to). In other words, you'll be able to schedule mini-consultations (15-minute or 30-minute, in addition to full consultations) whenever you need to. I'll keep records of your situation. Most women schedule mini-consultation whenever they go to the doctor and don't understand what he or she said, or why. I translate. I make sense of everything. Most schedule mini-consultation whenever they have a new test and they want me to explain the results. And all schedule mini-consultation whenever their situation changes and they need to re-weigh and re-balance their options. The time you spend with me will make everything about working with any other professional so easy. And they will love the fact that you have an actual education rather than a bunch of misconceptions that you got form the Internet. If your initial hormone regimen is not right, you'll want to consult with me before going to your doctor. I can prepare you for what to expect and what to request. So, that's my role. And nobody else on earth does this kind of thing but me. So, I hope you schedule a consultation and let me hold your hand (figuratively). I hope to meet you soon!

Menopause Taylor, I liked the way you said it. It made me laugh.

Love back to you, my dear.
