Hey Everyone - I'm currently raising money for an upcoming event I'm involved with. If you could check it out and possibly donate even just a small amount, I would be very grateful. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lutonros2019
Best tutorial I have ever seen! Others recommended these settings too, but they said in their videos: "Just copy this and done". Now I know why I have to do that and why, because you explain everything! Oh and I used 32bit version and it always crashed and I didn't know why. Then you showed me that I have to use 64bit and I can use it! I subbed!
Dude you are awesome..I have tried so many other tutorials on youtube and my recordings always lagged or has some kind of issue even though i have a decent pc..this was the only tutorial that really worked well for me...thanks dude
Gabry Delle 【ガブリ】 the higher of a resolution you have, the more clear your picture will be but you have a very heavy resolution to render so I would recommend recording at 1080p and don't use rescale output
Thank you very much man, this seems to have fixed my issue. While my game wouldn't suffer much of a frame drop, my recording would drop to below 10 fps. Not they both run at nearly the same, and there's no jarring lag in the framerate. Much appreciated!
some reason i loved making you-tube videos but now i just stop for months on end. I have no idea but i really want to get back into the flow of making them again.
Dude thank you so much it’s been like a week and all I want to do is record a video but my pc sucks. I would always get really bad lag but this made my whole setup really smooth thank you so much!
Thanks so much! My recordings actually were a bit laggy, and I didn't know what to change. Your video is so clear, I now get what all these setting mean! I'll try them out today. Just one question: I usually record the game by selecting "record any full screen applicstion" instead of adding the game already running. Would you say that's just another good option or would you advice against that?
You just saved my life! Thank you so much! I watched other videos for the best settings in OBS but none if them worked because everytime the recording finished everything was lagging and stuttering! Thank you so much! Liked and subbed.
I want to record screen and webcam, but I have a large monitor with 34 inches, and a resolution of 3440x1440. I don't want to record all screen area, but only an area of 1920x1080 pixels. In OBS, in Sources window, options like Display Capture doesn't offer an option TO SELECT AN AREA in the screen to be recorded. What should I do to record ONLY A PART of the screen?
Thank you for the tutorial! I'm a new TH-camr who is trying to find best setting. Also please do audio track setting and set up tutorial because sometimes you know I want to edit differently and if possible could you make tutorial on making your mic sound more clean and removing background noises. Thank you ^.^
what graphics card do you have? I relly want to know this because I have the geforce 1050ti and I have lag with these settings, also with other bitrate, do you have a better graphics card or something?
Having watched your videos previously, it was natural for me to seek out your expertise on a problem I am having: I have no problem recording War Thunder videos, nor do I have issues with recording Battle Field 4 gameplay. However, for some stupid reason all I get is a black screen trying to record IL 2 Sturmovik. I have tried everything you have suggested in the past, but I still cannot record IL2. Any suggestions? No one else seems to be having this issue as I watch a lot of gameplay videos of IL 2 Sturmovik. Thank you / I am using a 64 bit system.
don't know if you can answer this, but, my video quality is on point, but, when I run the gameplay back, it's like it super hitchy and stuttery, what's settings should I change(my pc can handle it) plz and thanks. Your the best
Also, I have a concern since I specifically use Sony Vegas 13 to edit OBS Footage. Once in a while, my footage might go blurry for a second or in worst scenarios half my footage goes black or changes contrast. After this video, it seemed to fix it, but the beginning of the footage is slightly blurry. Thank you for the video though, helps a lot.
Very nice video! I'm just having trouble with my game capture. It doesn't appear when I follow the provided steps but the display capture works. Do u know the problem?
I have a question. I have a laptop. I can not get a desktop recording while recording with Obs studio. It stays on a black screen. What program did you use when you were shooting this video?
Guys, when I go to Properties on Speakers, mine is 192000 instead of 48000 and my default sample rate on obs is 48.1kzh.. Should I put it on 48 or 48.1?
this doesnt have anything to do with OBS, if you go into sound settings, scroll down to Microphone and do Advanced then you can find how to lower pickup noise
Quick question, no matter what I do, I can't get it to 60fps, and I followed the video and did everything you did. Iv'e had this problem for months with OBS and literally any other software and I can't seem to find a fix for it. And it's not just my computer because it didn't work on my old one and I recently got an awesome new desktop. Please let me know if you have a fix for this, and yes, I have my framerate set to 60, and i keep my in game fps at 144
Ok so I’m having a problem. I’ve done everything your video told me, and others, and when I record, the recording makes it seem as if I’m on the lowest graphics on my game, which I’m not
i use pre recorded video for fb live streaming what setting should i use? i really need this my download speed 3.04mbps and have average upload speed 1.69 mbps my pc spec is gtx 780 ti i5-3470 8gb ram
I have a question when I record from my start time to my end time my video length is short what do I do with this problem Example end recording is 7:46 Video folder 2:38
What do I have to do... just gettinh this: Driver does not support the required nvenc API version. Required: 8.0 Found: 7.0 The minimum required Nvidia driver for nvenc is 378.66 or newer.. and if i change it to the other one what profil shoud I use when faster means less use of CPU.???
When I record my Minecraft why does like my Minecraft lag when I brake a tree or a block and then when like I move it’s just so laggy do u know why it’s so laggy if u do pls TELL MEE !!
Will this fix my problem with obs not recording at 144hz? Because I record with obs, but my gameplay doesn't look as smooth as it does when I'M playing fortnite, it's like it records at 60hz and not 144hz
What if you don't use a mic, do we not need to do anything with the audio tab. Also, I don't have the VoiceMeeter thing on mine. I'm assuming that's because I don't have a microphone.
Okay ive tried tons and tons of different methods to "fix" my choppy vids and im just at a complete loss, everything from downscaling to 720p to turning the graphical setting on my games to the lowest setting and both methods at the same time =( like i said im at a loss, idk what to do now. Computer specs: CPU - Intel I7 8700k 3.7ghz unclocked GPU - Asus gtx 1070ti Ram - 32gb 2400mhz g.skill ripjaws Plz Haelp!
Can someone post the AMD encoding settings? It's a bit different from nvidia's stuff and I just want to make sure if it's good enough. EDIT: Tried it with the "TH-cam" preset and the 50k bitrate, and it seems to work out fine.
Hey guys! One question here, in the encoder slot I have H264/AVC( AMD Advanced media framework) or a H265/HEVC media framework, does anyone know which one I should choose or if it matters?
I find VBR better than CBR, set bitrate to 40 000 and max bitrate to 60 000 for recording. The settings i metioned has the highest quality and non existent lag, you should really try it yourself :)
MP4 is most likely the reason I’m lagging in my own videos, as when I have just used flv in the past, videos haven’t lagged Just saying, I record using a laptop so yeh...
Hey Everyone - I'm currently raising money for an upcoming event I'm involved with. If you could check it out and possibly donate even just a small amount, I would be very grateful. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lutonros2019
3:10 - he starts showing and explaining the settings in the OBS Software
Best tutorial I have ever seen! Others recommended these settings too, but they said in their videos: "Just copy this and done". Great in depth explanation, recently switched from Geforce Experience to obs. This video was a great help
Dude you are awesome..I have tried so many other tutorials on youtube and my recordings always lagged or has some kind of issue even though i have a decent pc..this was the only tutorial that really worked well for me...thanks dude
my monitor resolution is 2560x1440 so should I record my video with this resolution or recording at 1920x1080 ? ( output scalate)
Gabry Delle 【ガブリ】 the higher of a resolution you have, the more clear your picture will be but you have a very heavy resolution to render so I would recommend recording at 1080p and don't use rescale output
record at ur monitor resolution... it will take a while to render vids, but it will turn out alot nicer
Thank you very much man, this seems to have fixed my issue. While my game wouldn't suffer much of a frame drop, my recording would drop to below 10 fps. Not they both run at nearly the same, and there's no jarring lag in the framerate. Much appreciated!
This worked crazy well unlike alot of other tutorials! Thank you so much! I will share this to all my friends!
some reason i loved making you-tube videos but now i just stop for months on end. I have no idea but i really want to get back into the flow of making them again.

Dude thank you so much it’s been like a week and all I want to do is record a video but my pc sucks. I would always get really bad lag but this made my whole setup really smooth thank you so much!
Excellent tutorial. You saved me a lot of time getting my audio back after a Windows update.
Thank you. I couldn’t find out to fix the full screen. Stretch to screen saved me
I sat through the whole thing. This is the best up to date guide tutorial for OBS. Was a great help👍
You just saved my life! Thank you so much! I watched other videos for the best settings in OBS but none if them worked because everytime the recording finished everything was lagging and stuttering! Thank you so much! Liked and subbed.
hey man reakon u can shout me out n a vid cause i only have 5subs and wanna get big soon and get views i dont want fake people that make . accounts
You can get better quality with a x264 encoder and 30000 bitrate if you have the CPU power. Saves on file size that way and looks better.
Awesome video. Just started TH-cam and this is super helpful.
Hey man love the tutorial, i was just wondering what your specs are becuse mine are in the high end, but i still gett some lag from 50000 bitrate.
I want to record screen and webcam, but I have a large monitor with 34 inches, and a resolution of 3440x1440. I don't want to record all screen area, but only an area of 1920x1080 pixels. Are you on Windows 10 using Windows 7 theme? I miss that start menu
don't know if you can answer this, but, my video quality is on point, but, when I run the gameplay back, it's like it super hitchy and stuttery, what's settings should I change(my pc can handle it) plz and thanks. Your the best

Is there a difference if you record using "Display" or "Game" capture?
Also, I have a concern since I specifically use Sony Vegas 13 to edit OBS Footage.
Once in a while, my footage might go blurry for a second or in worst scenarios half my footage goes black or changes contrast.

Very nice video! I'm just having trouble with my game capture. It doesn't appear when I follow the provided steps but the display capture works. Do u know the problem?

Thanks for sharing this! Going to record some Fort Nite!!! :)
My video's quality is terrible with mp4. Some tutorials say to put it on flv and the quality is really good on it.
What if you don't use a mic, do we not need to do anything with the audio tab. Also, I don't have the VoiceMeeter thing on mine. I'm assuming that's because I don't have a microphone.
U really helped me out thx A LOT ❤️

This really lags my preview in sony vegas, and I have no idea why...
Specs:
CPU - i7-5960x extreme edition
