Wait this has 3 octaves, I have played recorder flute for more than 10 years, is it possible to play Baroque music on an ocarina like this? Like Vivaldi or Bach or the likes? I would love to gives that a try 😂😂😂 makes me question how hard it would be to try to learn ocarina after 10 years of recorder 🤔
Yes, It can play more than 3 octaves, actually :D Almost 3 and 1/2. It is suited for almost any genre of music, thanks to the full chromaticism. Triple ocarinas cover above and beyond the range of baroque repetoire. If you are coming from the recorder, the first octave is very straightforward, except for the F that does not need a crossfingering. The second and third octave will take some time to learn, as well as the use of the subholes. Regardless, your experience with the recorder should help you immensely.
Thank you it takes a lot of getting used to! The best way I've found is by learning to play the same song, but in different keys. It helps you get a better grasp of the full range of the instrument.
Woah, that's a crazy markup! If you want one, best option might be to get it from the maker in Korea, or Melody Wind PH. The latter is based in the Philippines, but it might be easier to get for English speaking customers.
@@soslothful if you are on Facebook, it might be easier to message them there. The website has not been updated yet since these are pretty new. Local orders are also mostly sold through Shopee.ph - they have a page there :)
@@ReybenKimWoodwinds I do not have FB or any social media. I did find the contact page and the Nobel bass listing I was also looking for. It seems odd that Noble and Cheong do not have direct purchase sites.
@@soslothful You could try reaching them here. It's a Philippine based platform though, but drop them a message. Thank you! I'm really happy you enjoy the videos :D tutorials are something I'm looking to expand to in the future. In the meantime, I would reccomend the tutorials from David Erick Ramos' TH-cam channel :)
this is so hard to play, and you man play extreme well. Congratulations man! Your play is amazing!
Ang husay nyo po talagang tumugtog. Bagay na bagay yung Danny Boy sa ocarina. Masarap sa pandinig, nakakaalis ng stress.
