- Hey, folks! I tried wearing at least one crocheted piece every day for two weeks in late summer 2024. Here's a look into my life, my outfits, and my crocheted wardrobe!

Ok, Mary, you need to do another just shawl video similar to the one you did when you first started your channel. You have so many pretty ones and I for one would love to know what the patterns are and a little slower view than I had here.
Thank you for that suggestion! My husband has been nudging me in that direction for awhile now - but just like he sometimes needs to "hear it from others," I guess I'm the same way 😂 I'll go ahead and thank you on his behalf! 😂💜❤️☺️
Cute berets Gorgeous shawls!!! The shawl with the blues and the gold faded in the shell design stunning
Thank you so much! That blue and gold shawl was the Sis Shawl pattern by Sis Homemade, if you're interested!
I have so many pieces, I could probably get away with wearing something different every day for a month! I LOVE wearing them - even when it's hot outside! LOL
You are living my goals, my friend! ❤️❤️
Well if this doesn’t make you want to make wearable crochet pieces, I don’t know what will🤗
How kind you are! Thank you! 💗
Beautiful makes. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome! Thanks for taking the time to leave an encouraging comment!
Hi, at 4:27 on the video, you showed a mustard or kinda gold colored beret. It's awesome. Do you have a pattern for this? Your shawls are stunning. I enjoyed your challenge to wear your items rather than just make and store
Thank you so much! That gold beret was an experiment I did using a pattern for a mandala. I used "My Mandala by Ella," Elisabeth Laitila. I think I worked through the first 12 or 13 rounds of the mandala, then fudged my way into a beret shape. It was a mystery DK weight yarn, and I used a 5.5 mm hook for it. Wish I could be more helpful!
What a great use for a scarf clip! 😍 I am always looking for a way to fasten my granny hexi cardigans. I have many shawls in different fibers and weights, and layer them over a T-shirt and linen pants or a dress in the warm weather. May I ask the yarn and designer of your 1st hexagon sweater with the buttons? Beautiful! I love your style!
Hi, sweet friend! I could use some good linen pants in my life... I need to take a page out of your style book and look out for them! The yarn I used for that first cropped hexagon cardigan was I Love This Cotton in a "sock monkey" colorway. I'm not sure if it's still there. I think I used Made and Do Crew's hexagon cardigan as my basis - the "Day Date Cardigan" by Jess Coppom, I believe. I just made it quite a bit shorter. Hope that helps!
@@slowcrochet so helpful, and always a pleasure! It was so much fun to see these come together. And you can wear that hat either way! 😃
I dont wear crochet in the summer, but i do wear my crochet sweaters in the autumn, winter and spring season. I crochet wearables to go with my dresses. I enjoy them immensely since i spin the yarn i use 😊 thank you for sharing your makes, your shawls are beautiful 😊
Thank you so much! I always feel like I need to add more dresses into my wardrobe. I want to experiment more with wearing sweaters over dresses. You're definitely encouraging me in that direction! How gorgeous your sweaters must be with your one-of-a-kind yarn!
How kind of you to say that. ☺️They do keep me warm here in the mountains 😊
I've made a couple of lightweight cotton hexie cardigans that I can wear in the warmer months. Luckily, I live in a very mild climate, not too hot, not too cold.
They are just so versatile, aren't they! 💗❤️
Hello Mary 🤗 It was so nice to see how you pair your crochet items with everyday outfits. I do love all your shawls.
Hi, Ms. Cassandra! I was thinking of you this weekend - we met some of your fellow Springboks fans! Hope your week ahead is wonderful!
Mary, I don't comment often enough on your videos, but I always enjoy them; you make such beautiful shawls! 💖
Thank you so much, dear heart! I appreciate you taking the time to say so! 💗💗
A good wardrobe video. I don’t make that many wearables for me.
Thank you! I appreciate you!
Great video. Love the shawls. I would love to know the pattern for the granny shawl in rose, yellow, blue & white?
Thank you so much! That is a free pattern called the Weekender Shawl. I made note of my modifications in my Ravelry project page here: www.ravelry.com/projects/MercyTriumphs/the-weekender-shawl
Yay, I love a good crochet fashion show, and I love your style. 💖I'm about to start on a short sleeve top pattern, which I think will be perfect for Fall here in Florida.
Ahh, short sleeve tops are definitely on the to-make list now for me, too! Which pattern have you decided on?
I have not ventured into the world of wearables. I make mostly amigurumi and afghans, but I love the ones I watched you try on. They are so beautiful.
Thank you so much! Funnily enough, I haven't done many afghans and am still relatively new to amigurumi! 😂💗
I love everything you wore. They all looked good on you. All the shawls are gorgeous.🥰
Aww, thanks so much! How kind you are!
Shannon talks yarn linked to your channel, thats how I found you. I wear a lot of my chrochet skirts in fall/wintertime. Love my shawls , want more of them in different colors and in different materials. I dont have summerclothes, I started too late chrocheting a shortsleeved cottonshirt. Now I make several in the same pattern to use next summer. They are fun to make.
I have yet to make a crochet skirt! I bet yours are lovely - and so versatile! You've got my wheels turning! Thank you!
❤❤❤❤❤
💓💓💓💓💓
What a clever and fun way to showcase your talent! The shawl at 9:52 is gorgeous. Really enjoyed your mix and match fashion show.
Thank you! That is the Olive Branch shawl by @bagodaycrochet - except made up in fingering weight yarn. So glad you enjoyed the video!
Beautiful makes
Thank you so much!
Yes, definitely more for summer. I think you're very brave going out in those in hot weather even if you removed them later! 🥵🤣 Take care. 😊🧡😺
Ahhh, the things we do for content 😂😅
@@slowcrochet 🤣
Hi Mary 🤗 it’s definitely easier to incorporate crochet in your everyday during Winter! 🥰🧶🤩
Happy equinox, Ms. Litsa! It's supposed to start getting cooler here but it's still blazing hot 😅 Are you excited for the seasons to change, too? 💗
@@slowcrochet Hi Mary 🤗 yes definitely looking forward to Spring…Summer 🤔 not so much! 🤣🥰🧶🤩
What a wonderful episode! I enjoyed watching you fashion all your makes❤️
Thank you, Ms. Betty Lou! Once it finally cools down - which won't happen consistently until mid-October - maybe I'll try the experiment again! Hope you have a wonderful week!
@@slowcrochet I hope the same for you and your family ❤️
I loved all your makes - your shawls are beautiful & you rocked wearing everything. I have several summer t-shirt type of tops I’ve made with either cotton or bamboo & I have worn them a lot this summer on weekends with a camisole underneath. Occasionally I might wear a crochet cardigan to work - but not very often. I should probably rethink that…. 🤗🤗🧶
Ahhh, nothing beats a good "work cardigan" 😁 Thank you so much for all your encouragement! You really brought a grin to my face! I haven't worked much with bamboo - have your tops held up well in the wash?
@@slowcrochet I really loved working with the Lucky Brand Bamboo which is sold by Joann. The colors are lovely and all my makes have washed nicely In the machine ( in a mesh bag ) on delicate and flat to dry. I was on a roll with it this summer, made two tops, a duster and a lacey poncho. 😱😱. 🤗🧶
