I loved the ST200 it was epic and arguably one of the best looking cars I have ever owned. I actually sold it last year (for a small profit) in a video mentioned on my channel. On positive news I'll let you into a little secret....I've actually purchased a MK3 Ford Focus RS Edition and I have lots of content to share on the channel from March around the car. Hey Sam, would you agree that a proper hot hatch should be light and fwd like your Fist!? After test driving a GRY, yes it was hugely capable but for me soulles and the too much capability was its downside for me on the road. I did watch your review on that car thought and you seemed to really like it..
I would agree with that! Although there are so many different types of hot hatch but FWD, Light weight, affordable and fun is really the key but they do also have to be usable (like a Fiesta). It hits the sweet spot for me and always will do. The GR Yaris was unbelievable but was a fair amount heavier than the ST and not really that practical....I was shocked at how small it really is inside and quite claustrophobic in the cabin overall. Plus at around 33k it is not exactly that cheap. It is also very wide (wider than my Golf R for example) whereas the ST is very narrow by todays modern standards. For sure I loved the GR Yaris as it was epic to drive and I love the 3 door looks! There are no right or wrong answers for the definition of a hot hatch but certainly there is no doubt that the Fiesta ST is one! Yes I can't see myself parting with either of these cars at all! I am very grateful to be able to own both and if the R had to be sold to buy the Fiesta I would not have gone through with it. Fingers crossed but I hope to still have both cars for at least another 5 years so that would 10 years of Golf R ownership overall👍
@@SamAustin ok I'm holding out for a bit. Anything to be wary of? A few seem to run the breaks down but some are sailing through the Mots. I'm not sure I want a stage kit one maybe standard. Do they have a sport button?

Dont knock the ST until you've driven one. I had a Golf R and apart from the acceleration, which quickly gets boring) I thought it was one of the most boring cars I'd ever driven
@@jimmyjt16 I'm not mocking the ST. I've been in a few now and if I was a teenager then the st for me, but now I'm older I want performance and comfort together, which i get from my polo and you get from the golf R
Nice car my friend. Ordered a new ST3 '22 in March, put my deposit down , colour ? , Mean green. It'll take a few months to get here perhaps October. I'm in the South Island of New Zealand. Not a car in any Ford showroom as it's indent only down here. Ford NZ are advertising them but aren't importing them , you have to put your deposit down first and they'll ship it from Cologne. Hope I've made the right choice. October seems a long way from here. It's a four door with the 18" wheels. No options in NZ apart from the colour. $42 NZD all up. If, when it arrives, Ford tell me if I decide not to buy it, they'll refund me my deposit as they won't have a problem selling it to someone else. Currently driving a '15 Fiesta with the 1.0 triple. The small one and only 19 k miles, it's a nice wee car too. Thanks for the post.
The mean green looks great and you will love the ST3. I took delivery of my ST just over week ago, after waiting for 7 months and it is a beautiful car. Having ordered in early December I was lucky enough to be able to order a 3 door in magnetic, plus moon roof, both now discontinued in the UK. You cannot even order a Fiesta or Focus in the UK at present and my dealer didn't think the order system would reopen until October. You will love the torque after the 1.0l eco boost, which like you was previous Fiesta 😊
Ye, why not. If i were in the market for a play thing saving my m135i the Fiesta ST is a great idea. Also a lot more fun than the all wheel drive hot hatchbacks because of its light weight front drive configuration. Ye i like it
