Can see the drivers seat has a few wrinkles in the leather 😮 (most ST recaro‘s do) if they are not treated with some kind of leather spray, they will crack or split at some point! Mine split open after only 25tkm! Ford refused to replace them! They said it was basically wear and tear 😮 They said that the seats are not designed for - I quote "larger drivers" 😂😂 I’m a beanpole and weigh in at 10 stone 😂😂 a local Polsterer charged me €250 to swap the piece out!
Yes this one had done around 55,000 miles and had one owner before me who took extreme care of the car but those recaro's do wear as you say. I did 38,000 miles over 4 years in my previous Fiesta ST from 2013 and the same happened also.....very hard to avoid but I can understand that it is just wear and tear as the quality of the leather is not really up to standard.
Don’t know much about the ST200 apart from what I’m picking up from your vids and look forward to your POV drive. . . happy to see that you’re keeping the faith with another 3 door manual 👍😎
Im a little envious i must say, ive got a brand new BMW m135i and i find as nice and luxurious as it is i miss the rawness of cars like these. I bet point to point this car is as quick and more fun to drive than any of our 40k luxury hot hatchbacks. Again good choice
I am a big fan of all hot hatches but I do find the 40K entry point to most of them now is quite high. Down a twisty road on a dry day I think this is faster than my R but in the wet I do not think the ST200 would be able to keep up. Ill have to put on some more miles to find out 👍
