Clemens Schöning-Schulz but the JCW is 7k more car though (even though its smaller 😉😂). Put it this way, if money was no issue (which of course in the real world it is) , we all know that if the two cars (the ST and JCW) were parked next to each other and the keys were yours to only one. You’d pick the Mini. I myself, want another JCW. Completely taken away by the cars. They are truly something special.
Loving the video. I Purchased an st3 in April. Loving the car and it's really fun to drive and practical. However, I am sort of regretting not going for an St200. However I am looking forward to the new fiesta st launch as I will test drive one :)
Brilliant car. I had a mountune mp215 before I wrote it off. it was great fun to drive. I'm glad the new fiesta is so ugly because it just means I can get another one of these. apparently Ford have been putting the same parts on the the standard STs as the ST200s.

I think they supposedly made 600 (don't think they even know) extra units for the uk and European market, taking the number up too 1000, but this still makes it a rare car, I love these cars cars
Hope the owner uses a disklok on this. The Fiesta ST's are stolen all the time, I dread to think how 'hot' the ST200 is. I'd be sleeping with one eye open!
I test drove one of theses, I loved it personally coming from owning 3 honda type r's and owning the previous fiesta st as well. It's a great B road car and I was smiling the whole test drive however £23k was where it end from me with ford. Hot hatches are very expensive now plus you can get very tasty car for around £20k. End of the day it's buyers choice, great drive but it's still just fiesta in my books.
To be fair you can pick up an Fiesta ST2 for just under 15k brand new if you shop around, which is dam good value! The 23k for the ST200 is no way worth it for 15hp and a couple of tweaks here and there.
Regarding the production figures, the last number I heard was 1,600 total of which UK got 1,000. But take it with a grain of salt, I think they built the ST200s the whole final year as long as the orders came in.
Highly recommend trying it, the sound in the video doesnt make justice to the car. See it, feel the tremble through the air from the engine, then drive it. And after all that, come back here to the comments section

Mark Andar you cannot really compare a new car with a 3 year old one, and the fact a 3 year old Golf R would have most probably been a lease car and totally abused. 23k isnt a bad price, it starts to fall into SEAT Leon 290 territory ( these can be had with good discounts), or Peugeot 308 GTi 270 money (new one due out so discount on old stock), so it may not be the best vfm but its still not bad money for a 200bhp hot hatch :) .
Over priced vs a ST 2 with a m215 kit & springs (you don't need a reversing camera!), and I'd say you actually have to be able to fit things in the boot of a 'hot hatch' imo, good videography though mate!!
I really hope for you, that you will not own a ST for your first car. At first, this car is, compared to other hot hatches, quite aggressive. On the other hand, you won't learn to drive fast, if you got power. Learn to drive fast with less power. If you get rpm through corners, you can switch to more powerful cars. I wish you, to have a fast car anyday - but not for your first car

Not bothered bout these new hot hatches. Too expensive for what they are. I currently drive a 2005 CTR but I'm wanting to upgrade. Thinking of getting a VW Scirocco TSI 2.0 with under 70k miles on it and having it remapped. Without changing any parts a £400 remap will take it to 260hp and between 280 - 290 ft lb torque. Same performance as a Scirocco R but for half the price.
Not sure I understand the hate this car is getting. Of cars that have a legit back seat it's one of the most fun to drive at any price. It's not perfect--sitting position is my biggest issue--but it's a great package for the money.

well im pretty sure the MK6 zetec s had 100bhp from a 1.6. (if i can remember). SO obviously a 1.6 turbo with 200bhp with much better handling performance is going to be better than your old car.
Depends what you value, I value things like Warranty, and Dealer backup as I need to be on time and not be on the back of an RAC truck all th time - these things matter alot more than "what can i buy for 15k - the question is what can i buy with a warranty and full dealer backup for 15k" is the more sensible query
I drove a standard st3 the other week and couldn't get over how synthesised the engine sounded. I owned an r58 Cooper s and it felt quicker too. If it were my money looking to buy a 200bhp+ fwd car it would be a dc5 anyday.
yer got it about 2 weeks ago absolutely love it was lucky to find one there were no st 200's left as they stopped production. But this is still amazing smile every time i get in, it will be worth the wait :)
Or you can put a Revo stage 3 in this fiesta for the same price as the S1. You're gonna have ~310hp and it gives a fuck to a rs5 or a M4. If you don't believe it, comme to the Nürburgring in Touristenfahrten any Tuesday and Thursday :)
Never driven one personally. Look awesome. Lovely modern car with all the mod-cons. Sadly they're common as f*ck. Everyone and their nan drives one which makes them completely unnoticeable. Sounds pretty shit, hardly revs. Doesn't look like a very engaging car. I'd take a high revving honda vtec engine any day.
True about the torque. Look at the 0-60 times of this new ST though? Evo list it as 6.7 seconds - shit even an EP3 civic type R from 2002 has a quicker 0-60 time of 6.6 seconds. It'd be a far more engaging and fun car to drive. I drove an Integra DC5 type R for a few years, amazing fun to drive. The feel you get from the car when you drove it was amazing, something I miss slightly even though I've got an R33 GTR. It's not that the ST is a bad car by any means... it's very stylish, modern and looks pretty cool. Sadly it looks absolutely lifeless to drive :

So many car companies have lost driver feel with newer designs that have all the fancy creature comforts, but are so bloated and electronically assisted - they feel pretty lifeless to drive. EP3, FN2 civics are a riot to drive. The DC5 is even more raw/racey, not sure about the FD2 civic. Even though they aren't straight line beasts out of the box...there's something about hammering it to the rev limit every gear, vtec screaming and pushing the car to the very max is so satisfying. I'd have one as a daily if skyline ownership didn't cost so much. Sensible diesel daily :(

The ST200 is extremely overpriced though for basically a map on top of an ST3. 215hp and 320Nm says ford. Mine was on a test bench and it produced 221hp and 326Nm with no software

JoshParry my dad owns one !they are 220 bhp this feista is 200 and top speed on mondeo is 151 mph and it is superb for handling also yes the old one
the mondeo is geared differntly so 150 top speed but almost 9 secs to 60
