I made this cake yesterday and we had it today... it's SO good and delicious! Thank you so much for sharing this... unbelievable cake :) Definitely one of my new favorites. The vanilla bean paste pulls it all together. I never used it before but after today, I'll be using it a lot more. Thank you.
I made this cake today. Kept eating the batter because it was great. After baking I'm not sure what I think of the flavor. Definitely dense. Fun to try but may try a different recipe next time.
I need a strawberry flavored cake for my daughter's wedding. I do not want to use any artificial. Can I use pureed fresh strawberries? I am making her wedding cake, and they want vanilla layers, and then strawberry layers. Going to work on fillings later.
Help. I made this cake but it didn’t turn out real moist any suggestions? I’m also making this for my daughters wedding. My house is about 30 minutes from the venue. How long can a cake stay out when should I take it to the venue?
Update: we made this cake yesterday and it’s way too dense and the icing powder sugar/butter ratio is way off. If you like that sort of thing, go for it.
1 & 1/2 to 2 cups powdered sugar per stick of butter is pretty standard. For 4 sticks of butter 6-8 cups of powdered sugar is the norm. She used 7 cups. Homemade cake isn’t boxed you shouldn’t expect the same texture and over mixing your batter can make your cake dense, as well.
Canola oil (any veg or seed oils) is awful for your body. Coconut oil or melted butter is a great replacement for baking. I’m going to try this tomorrow. Looks delicious.
It was soo satisfying to see the vanilla bean paste slide off the spoon completely clean!
I LOVE that you went straight to the recipe. No silly intro. No unnecessary details. Just straight to the point. Kudos! Can’t wait to make this.

This cake is amazing! Can this be turned into a yellow cake by using the egg yokes as well?

Can you reduce the amount of sugar without compromising the consistency of the cake?
Maybe like 10-20g without much change. Not more! Add a pinch of salt too, it’s balances the sweetness.
Sugar is pretty important for moisture in cakes and this is a big cake. You’d be better off cutting sugar from the frosting.
Yum but I would keep the caramelization on and skip 75% of the frosting 😂😂 💜💜💜💜💜
Where can I find the Recipe??
FYI The link to your amazon store doesn't work.
This cake is way to sweet to have the super sweet icing more like an angel food cake needs to have a tart contrast.
Her cakes are very large. Your standard two layer cake has 2 cups of sugar.

Oil keeps cakes moist in a way butter cannot. Butter is for flavor the oil is for moisture. Use avocado oil.
It is junk food, so honestly if you’re worried about your health, don’t eat cake. Sugar is also VERY TOXIC to your health.
I'd eat it in one gulp
