I've tried several vanilla cake recipes. And I must admit, me and my entire family LOVE this cake. This is my to/go vanilla cake recipe for several years now since I've discovered your website. XOXOX from Argentina.
Ni entiendo por qué hay dislikes, la gente está realmente dañada, este es un buen contenido y si no les gusta no lo veas, y dejen a nosotros verlo, a mi sí me interesa este vídeo.
Your recipes really are the best! I use the cake recipes from your cookbook every time I bake a cake. Nick, I know it's the wrong season for you, but do you have any thoughts on ice cream cakes? I'm not sure if a regular cake or a brownie base would be better.
So informative... you make it look so easy! I do have one question for you... it states that this is a Vanilla Bean Cake, but I never saw you use vanilla bean. Did I miss something? Thanks.
@@bakinncrafts7899 It’s a little tacky and clickbaity, not gonna lie. The only reason to specify “bean” in a recipe title is to distinguish it from vanilla extract, which is the default for baked goods recipes already… This should just be called “vanilla cake.”
Hey Nick here in Trinidad where I live we dont get Vanilla Beans is there anything else I can you? Thanks Nick come visit smtimes its a string of beautiful islands to do island hopping beautiful sunshine lovely beaches and friendly ppl like me ❤❤❤

Hi Nick! I love your videos and your recipes, I actually just used your chocolate cake recipe a little while ago! I was wondering how many batches of your icing do you make for a cake like that?
Hi Nick the cake is beautiful ❤️can you share a yellow cake recipe? One that’s not all butter based. I feel they tend to get hard quickly and taste like cornbread 😭 help. I m still searching for a good one. Ty😊
I know you can use yogurt or sour cream to make the cake moist but can I replace it for buttermilk? So instead of regular milk I would swap it out for buttermilk to make it moist.
Hi Nick, thanks for all the great tutorials! I’m probably being very dense, but could you just clarify - do you need to make a double batch of cake batter to fill 3 x 8” tins or does one batch do all 3 tins? Thanks in advance x
The Scran Line I thought so, thanks! 🙂 I did 1 batch & split it between 3 6” pans - it was perfect! 👌🏻 such a great recipe, this is now my go to vanilla cake x
Hi Nick! Thanks for all your videos and recipes. I need some help with this one. I made it like maaaaany times and it came always the same: big holes inside. What am i doing wrong? I weight everything, mix on low speed, room temperature ingredients, etc. I really dont know 😔. Can you guess what my problem is? (Sorry for my english tho 🤣)
I would recommend tapping the pan on a counter or table once you've filled it with the batter. Give it a few light drops onto a table from a few inches above. This will pop any of the really big trapped bubbles in the batter and give you fewer holes in the finished cake.
Last time we made one of your cakes, we tried using sundae syrup for the chocolate sauce and it just dripped all over the place. Should we make a home-made chocolate ganache instead? What would you suggest?
I would actually really highly suggest my chocolate sauce recipe. It’s a one bowl recipe and it tastes really good. Plus you can store it in the fridge for ages!

That looks good. It's nice to see you going back to your old way of making cakes.
I love how you use the hand mixer. That's what most people have. Including me

The recipe says vanilla extract vanilla bean paste. It means you can use either. He used vanilla extract.
