  • The NCA5 outlook for Idaho is high-change, but in your most populated areas you do show some serious potential for resilience building. Let me walk you through the projected changes to seasons, precipitation, snowpack, and fire risk.

    Hi Emily
This is Maryam from the PNW, thank you for this valuable information! Would you say that Central Idaho or Eastern WA would be a better climate destination for someone looking for fewer loss of cool nights , and fewer hot days?😢

I'd go to Eastern WA, milder conditions for sure!

2C used to be a worst-case destination. Now it looks like the last rest stop on the highway to hell, with a sign saying "Last stop for Humanity for forever..."

No joke, conditions are looking rough. Makes me glad I got weird a few years ago. Whatever I can help through this bottleneck, I'll do my best, and I think it may be useful to find the pockets which model consistently enough through 4C. There are many of us who would like to take up the work of bringing through what biodiversity we can, as far as we can. It's not for everyone, but it's the path for me.

@@AmericanResiliency A large part of me thinks this is going to go well beyond a bottle neck, but I won't be here to see that so I can hold on to hope some of us may make it through. And like you, to that end I am doing what I can to extend our runway just a little longer to give someone, whoever it may be, a fighting chance.

I think it's only natural to feel washed by the enormity of it at times. I know sometimes the pain hits me, too

Fyi 99.9% of Idaho residents think climate change is fake. Great work, but don’t take the episodes numbers too seriously on the back end. These are not normal people.

@JS-ll5gk this is not a part of the country I would recommend moving to. But we do have folks there who are tuning in, and it is part of my mission to get this info out there more accessibly to everyone.
