    It would be cool to have like a discord or slack channel to talk more about this with more like minded folks who want to to be more involved 😊

      @@OldJackWolf what can I say, there's lots of stuff I'm not good at. Volunteers from the AR community made the Discord & volunteers mod it. A friend through AR had a similar problem accessing the Discord. She figured out what I was doing wrong and helped me fix it to generate an actual stable link, which I'm using now.

    I am curious if you would be willing to make a video about the least affected areas of the United States. Like a top ten list based on the data type thing. Give us some migration options. I don’t want to pit you in the realm of having to predict the future. Just a vague outlook of where people might not have to dig in too deep to see people who currently have young children be able to see grand kids be happy for a while. Or whatever we can get from our nation and its geography in regard to relative stability is a 2 C warmer planet and rising.

      @BenHuttash I will be doing exactly this once I finish my deep study of these best projections we have. I don't want to steer anyone wrong, and I'm closing in on the outlines and hazards. I've got the west & midwest destination outlines, I'm working on the east. It takes time and I know we need information now, but it's better I do the work well. There are many things I find that surprise me when I comb it fine, and most of the surprises are dangerous.

    i live in CT and it did not get below 12°F at my house in all of winter, so this big winter change appearing is no surprise

    • @AmericanResiliency
      @AmericanResiliency  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ethanorazietti2203 I always appreciate a ground report like this- and also man, that's a high low for the area, that's a bit shocking to take in.
      This winter, we spent a fair amount of time closer to 1.7C than 1.5C. Every 0.1 degrees is going to make a difference in how it feels on the ground.

      @@AmericanResiliency it seems like each year winter specifically gets much milder and milder. we also got an absurd amount of rain. seems like we are headed for 2°C much faster then anticipated. I also believe the northeast is one of the fastest warming areas so that could be why

    • @AmericanResiliency
      @AmericanResiliency  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@ethanorazietti2203 much faster, it seems ridiculous to believe it will take until 2050 with what we have seen since May '23. Best case scenario I can figure, we've got a new climate state that lasts until the next El Nino, and then we might bump right to 2. Hopefully I'm wrong and there's a better future out there.

      I worked a shorter state this week so I would have the time I needed for California. California starts next week, with SoCal first.

    Newcomer to the channel and I love it as a resource! I assume that there's a Massachusetts breakdown coming, and since most of the time people talking about MA focus on Boston (understandable, that's where the population is) I wonder if it's fair to lump Western MA around the Connecticut River valley in with CT in terms of outlook?

    • @AmericanResiliency
      @AmericanResiliency  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @pustak glad you found us! Yup, Massachusetts will be coming soon, and I do anticipate that western MA is going to also look pretty strong. But I don't like to give any assurances until I've taken a close look- there are too many weird little things I come across that surprise me.
      Also, I think it's important to consider the likely hits to state services in states where population centers are impacted. Unless things go totally Mad Max, even if western MA is great, it will be weighed down by the damage to Boston.
