Bleach doesn't kill mold! Only Borax kills mold. Ask a mold expert. If mold is as bad as your showing in your videos it can be very dangerous. When cleaning that way you are actually spreading spores. I know because I have experienced it. In a new home. I had to have experts remove it after loosing all my hair and kids all getting pneumonia over and over!
I love the enthusiasm Evan and Keith have for making a difference in Detroit. And they are so fun how they all work so well and appreciate each others strengths.
Absolutely agree I love seeing them improve my old neighborhood where I grew up till I was 17 years old was back there 5yrs ago and was blown away how ran dwn and destroyed the neighborhood was I'm so grateful for the both of the in taking the time and effort along with their energy to bring back memories tku so much Evan and Keith along with that beautiful lady realstate that works with you both on sales
It's so nice to see lovely houses in Detroit selling for reasonable prices. Many times a house in the $100K price range is a dump, but these houses that Keith and Evan remodel are wonderful.
Absolutely love Keith and Evan they make a wonderful team and the artwork is amazing and spreading and becoming more ❤️ ed. I'm broken because last Wednesday our station didn't have them o. Ruined my whole week. Please sign them up for as long as you can.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Agreed. I don't watch the shows that find huge homes/small mansions and homes that are no longer realistic to me. I like the continued renovations/restorations (Restored comes to mind) of homes that were built to shelter families. I especially like the ones that try to stay true to the period or style of the original home. I don't mind modernizing, we live in different times for sure but these two have really grabbed at me. Have watched them from the start and never tire of their shenanigans and laughter.
This just got on my "recommended" list and....I love it!! People, who appreciated it, must feel like they are getting a real deal with all the custom artwork! I don't believe I have seen any other redo videos that include custom paintings. Good job!!
And from an interview with Shea (IIRC), included with the house are all the custom-made furniture featured in it. Those are not there for staging purposes only. :)
@@TDLTDL100 Yes, you're absolutely right...the price includes all the custom paintings, art works, furniture, AND... I am sure a lot more custom items that we don't even know about. I truly don't know how they can sell those houses for those low prices. They are contractors, builders, craftsmen and artists...all rolled into one. They are helping improve the neighborhood, making friends, and fulfilling a special niche, that frankly I don't believe anyone else in America would even attempt or have the skill, talent or knowledge to try.
Not my style at all but I can appreciate the unique design details inside the home. For an eclectic home owner, I can see how they would be drawn to the home.
As always, I love the innovation, the design, the theme, and the concept of using what is already available in every way. I can only envy the people who ended up their homes. They seem to have so much heart. Mondrian and Kandinsky are all over this house, along with a few other of my favs.
The reno is great, but I would limit the artwork to things hanging on the walls, not the actual walls. The first thing I would think of when seeing the walls is that I would have to paint over them.
These homes may seem small according to today's standards, but the house I grew up in was substantially smaller, roughly 400 square feet. My 2 sisters and I shared a very small bedroom by using triple bunkbeds my dad built. He and mom slept on a hideabed in the living room. My dad & my grandpa built our little house on a half acre on grandpa's 60 acre farm. It was tiny! But I didn't care. I had the run of all the outdoors around me, and the river was right there too. It was the most wonderful way to grow up. I lived "next door" to my grandparents until I was 15. I worked with them many summers. Later, I moved back to the farm to take care of my grandmother for roughly 3 years until she passed. I knew how much that place meant to her. I moved into her larger, 3 bedroom home with my 4 young sons so we could take care of her. I'm so glad we were able to do that. Grandpa died in 69, Grandma died in 89. After all these years, I still miss them so much.
Looks great, but I don't know why they didn't make an overhang on the end of the counter for an eating bar. You'd have to sit sideways to eat with the way the stools are set up.
Our home is a 1961 ranch style with a hip roof as well. And with a hallway long enough that it has 10 doors! 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms 1 coat closet 1 utility closet 2 linen closets Yes, it’s a runway! 🤭
I like it too ❤ I think the only house I didn't like was that black interior not because it was done badly bit probably because it was too dark for a small house....this house looks amazing and I love the art work on walls❤
I enjoyed this renovation although the style is totally not my style. I appreciated the great ideas and art work, fabulous presentation. Does the sale price include all the furniture and home decor too? It would be difficult for individuals to recreate this look so I'd be tempted to buy the "package". xx
All the homes are sold fully furnished. They do this because many first time home buyers do not own enough furniture to fill a home and also may lack kitchen essentials too. So, they sell their homes with dishes etc. Most of the stuff they buy is second hand and they renew it. I think it’s a fabulous business practice. That, and adding all the artistic touches upgrade their homes from basic to beautiful. As, Keith gets more famous, I bet the homes he’s done, will become more valuable because of the art.
Not only are these two making affordable housing, they are beautifying American streets/neighborhoods. Why aren’t more HDTV doing this real meaningful work? Remember how these two men were camping out in the houses as they did the work. Hopefully, now they are comfortable in one of their renovations. God bless these two smart, educated, talented and truly gifted builders. We love your videos guys. Keep them coming.
Beyond the puzzling horizontal slats on the exterior (that will catch crud and won't weather well unless a durable hardwood like ash), this was another splendid renovation!
U GUYS R ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! MAY GOD BLESS YOUR TALENTS!! WISH I HAD A FRIEND THAT CAN HELP ME DO BEAUTIFUL WORK LIKE THAT IN MY FUTURE APARTMENT! GOD WILLING!! BUT THAT LAST PERSON WANTED TO VIOLATE MY BODY!! N NOT HELP ME AT ALL WITH HANDY WORK N CARPENTRY IN MY LAST APARTMENT!! SO I DISAPPEARED!! PLEASE STAY TOGETHER N KEEP DOING THE OUTSTANDING JOB U GUYS DO!! BECAUSE NOT ONLY U INSPIRE ME I LEARN HOW TO DO STUFF LIKE THAT BY WATCHING! WITH CHRONIC ARTHRITIS I CAN'T DO ALL OF IT!! BUT I WILL DO IT LITTLE BY LITTLE N STEP BY STEP!!! ❤❤❤❤❤YALL!!
In these homes that have been trashed how often do you also have the expense of replacing the heating systems? That would certainly add a lot of the Reno.
If you sold your car to someone would you maintain it for them after you sold it to them. It’s the same for anything. If someone likes it and buys it then it’s on them to take care of it
The reason a lot of these old homes had dropped ceilings was because of the oil shortage in the 70’s. These homes didn’t have the insulation that we have today and people lowered their ceilings to save money on their energy bills.-Susan
Could you have a book printed with all the designs of the interiors of the houses in the book. I am sure a lot of people would buy your book. All the best.
It's cool, playful, and gallery-like but for a person who wants to actually live without feeling like you're not supposed to do anything or touch anything in the house.
Please consider visiting the National historic district Luna Park. The Luna Park was an amusement and entertainment facility during the turn of the century between 1900-1920. The facility suffered from a swimming pool fire, dissipated the lots sites and developed into 440 residential structures. The Luna Park historic district area is in disarray. Lacking knowledge & resources. City officials have been reduced to adopting a budget demolishing well built craftsmanship that are still existing. City planning mayor & officials have invited new developers. No encouraging renovations is noted due to lack resources.
I paid 25 thousand for my first house (about 1000 sq feet). It needed some updating but was otherwise in good shape. It’s worth 200000 now. I never should have sold!
Back in the day, some designer/builder thought those drop ceilings were modern and stylish. This was when kitchens would have 2 lights, one over the sink and one in the ceiling center. Never cared for those plastic rectangles and aluminum frames.
If its a house built in 1910, the reason for the drop ceiling. Utilities!!!!!!!. At least in the area I live in, plumbing wasn't a fixture until 1950s. Some houses had gas lights! So electricity and then after the 90s everyone wanted AC. And central AC. So ductwork may be in that drop ceiling. Yeah sucks, but code only says you need 7 feet. Or at least where I am at. So Shaq would have issues here. Also my basement that got dug out in the 50s or 60s will never be a finished basement. Once they put in the ducting the ceiling to floor height is 6.5 ft. Note, there is an original cellar. Its 6 ft in height. People were shorter back in the day.
It's a AMAZING to me, That Evan & Keith never Show The LAUNDRY ROOM & BASEMENT. In Every Episodes, It's basically the Same thing. But on the other HGTV Shows, they do show the Laundry and Sometimes the Basement. I understand that they have a Budget to meet liked any other Series. They Certainly do Make the Profits. Still very strange to me.
A basement is a perk for many buyers here in Detroit but having one finished doesn't add as much value in lower end neighborhoods like these as something like adding a 2nd floor bath or an open concept kitchen - They likely just clean up most basements, fix what is necessary down there, and generally leave them alone.

Love this show because they do so much with a small budget. They also sell the homes at a affordable price. They have great personalities too.
Yeah they're great 👍
Absolutely agree
The pricing are great. And they filmed most of the episodes during pandemic, this is the time where house prices are skyrocketing across the country.
I love the enthusiasm Evan and Keith have for making a difference in Detroit. And they are so fun how they all work so well and appreciate each others strengths.

Absolutely LOVE THIS SHOW!!
Motor City Magic. Love to see the realistic budgets, real homes, wonderful talent, and dazzling results!!

Am glad they focus on "the average American home". Not so many people make those mid-high 6 figures. Added bonus is helping bring back Motor City! 👍🏻❤
Absolutely correct and prefectly said
their design style is daring, good for them. I appreciate their enthusiasm
I would have to paint over that red, blue and yellow mural because it’s not my style. But otherwise, gorgeous.
This just got on my "recommended" list and....I love it!! People, who appreciated it, must feel like they are getting a real deal with all the custom artwork! I don't believe I have seen any other redo videos that include custom paintings. Good job!!

Every house you renovate is beautiful. Your work is so dynamic and unique. I love to see what you will come up with next.
Back in the day, they lowered the ceilings to cut heating costs.
I have watched these guys many times on HGTV, and they are UBER talented. In fact, they are amazing. They WILL PULL IT OFF! Go, guys!
Not my style at all but I can appreciate the unique design details inside the home. For an eclectic home owner, I can see how they would be drawn to the home.
Love the show and these guys ! They are so talented! Great design on a budget! Please keep them on !😊
"I usually hate hallways, but... if there's a mirror at the end..." I laughed. =)
I love these two. The designs expand my mind about how art is expressed. I can’t wait to get back home to Detroit😊😊😊
As always, I love the innovation, the design, the theme, and the concept of using what is already available in every way. I can only envy the people who ended up their homes. They seem to have so much heart. Mondrian and Kandinsky are all over this house, along with a few other of my favs.
Your primary colored wall with those black stripes is fabulous!
I don't like the She Devil painting but the goddess painting is gorgeous! That is one ginormous bedroom. Great job guys.
The art is wonderful! I love this house!!!
That was excellent work and the unique design touches were genius strokes.
Fantastic. I just can't get enough of it.
Beautiful kitchen , bedroom and bathroom
The reno is great, but I would limit the artwork to things hanging on the walls, not the actual walls. The first thing I would think of when seeing the walls is that I would have to paint over them.
I LOVE THEIR WORK AND STYLE..
Wszystko wyszlo cudnie. Myślałam, że te kolorowe trójkąty na scianie, to bedzie porażka, a wyszło fantastycznie. Panowie robicie wspaniałe remonty!.

I really liked the black and white accent wall, with the gold framed mirror in the bathroom.
My fave renovators! MamaCard sending love!

One of the other videos I saw they said they sell the houses fully furnished.
All the homes are sold fully furnished. They do this because many first time home buyers do not own enough furniture to fill a home and also may lack kitchen essentials too. I think this is the best fixed house ever. Thanks guys.
Amei a volta do Keith e o Evan ,estava ansiosa pra essa nova temporada, amo o trabalho de vcs, aliás amo vcs ❤❤
I love the visitors they are so kind and funny
You men are amazing doing up this old house they look great 👍 have a great day
I think the new season starts for them in late July on HGTV.
Everything they do is fabulous inside. It Never looks forxa really dark colour to predominate the outside.
Next stop Herndon, va? You r the best remodelers on this channel❤
Really, Really nice. Love that leather finish on the concrete counter tops.
Love these Two
Good job guys!

Remember when possible a powder room goes a long ways on first floor. One bathroom' for a family of 3 plus is hard.
Beyond the puzzling horizontal slats on the exterior (that will catch crud and won't weather well unless a durable hardwood like ash), this was another splendid renovation!
Agreed. Tbh they often make some weird choices when it comes to the exterior...
The red brick is Nostalgic for me !!! Woulda kept it n added a bright door n shutters for sure!!! To each his own.
Interior design made it marvelous
I love them so much🥰Amazing guys!
Those trangles are unique!

I love how you have paint stained clothes. You really do the work yourselves.😊
Very pretty! Blessings and Peace ✝️❤️
I love these shows. However, I wish they would share where they buy there materials from. The kitchen cabinets looks great where can I buy them?
We love your show. Hope to see more!😊
years ago they lowered ceilings to cut down on heating costs.......not because they have bad taste or they want to hide things
In these homes that have been trashed how often do you also have the expense of replacing the heating systems? That would certainly add a lot of the Reno.
THEY GAVE IT LIFE ❗❗❗
When you come to LA?
looks very cool and nice
Have just seen 3 episodes...like it!
Painting over a wall a solid color after any pattern is such a pain it would deter me as much as wallpaper from buying.
I do not get the wood on a brick home. Two things , you painted brick so now the people have to maintain it . Same thing with the wood .
I can't figure out why these guys do a LOT of the things they do!!
If you sold your car to someone would you maintain it for them after you sold it to them. It’s the same for anything. If someone likes it and buys it then it’s on them to take care of it
@@robertreed8931Exactly!!
Absolutely correct
My favorite new channel ❤❤❤❤
Those guys are very talented.
Amo o programa de vcs, não perco nenhum episódio, parabéns sucesso e que venha muitas reformas ❤❤
I love the main bedroom.
I love y'alls work.
Could you please tell us where this is located? As in, STATE + COUNTY?
From watching the show, I believe they work in Detroit, Michigan.
@@carolanewquilter8560 Thanks very much!

Beautiful🏡

Anyone know the zipcode?
Love you guys.
Gorgeous 😍
There’s no range hood?
I assume it’s build in in the oven . Certain newer models suck the fumes in.
These houses goes for under 100,000 dollars, here in florida the average price for a house is 430,000 dollars..
Wish they could renovate low budget in northern va
Art Deco Chic❤
Art deco is 1920 this is 1950 pop art.
7:30 looks much like the Evil Queen of the original Disney Snow White film, including the green eyes of envy.
You’re right. I couldn’t point it out. Thank you.

Why you build just the small terase in front the house??

personally I would have created another small room to be used as an office or play room

Love the kitchen and baths. Hate the decor.
Hate hate hate the graphic painting. Reminds my of my first home 1976.

Also that house was renovated in the seventies so during the oil crisis lower ceiling =lower heating costs.
Hallway needs a skylight
any reason why you did not negotiate for lower price than paying $32k ?
