Keith and Evan face a disastrously decayed house purchased for just $5,000. However, they do an incredible job with the renovation as the house turns into an eccentric and colourful weird house, winning the hearts of the welcoming neighbours.

This house appeals to a small group of people who appreciate color and bold design. I am in that group! I find it uplifting and enjoyable. Think how boring it would be if we all had the same taste.

That is one very cool looking house, It may not be completely my style, but I can certainly appreciate how and what was done, The bathroom was perfect, I would LOVE to be in there with those black lights taking a relaxing bath.
The kitchen, it just looks like something I want to eat. That sounds weird, but the colors just make me want to eat it up. Lmao
The downstairs was interesting, and wild, but somehow works on this one.
but the island needed to be deeper because t is too shallow to sit at.
So they basically paid $5000 for the lot because that is a few boards and some blue tiles, not a house lol. That design limits them to a very small buyers pool. If they were a little more tame with their design choices they could probably sell their homes for a little more
Weird design! Nice to visit/see it once, but definitely will not live in such designed home.
After a few days of living in it I'd get really agitated. It's not calming at all.

A bedroom needs to be calm for sleeping.
No to the wild design. It is so hard to cover patterns why do they keep using them. Very few people will like this in many ways. The tub shrine? Why.
Love your houses. I know the neighborhood LOVES yours houses and what it’s doing to the area.
I grew up in the 70’s when this type of painting was in fashion. My first home had all the rooms done like this.
Art deco? Maximalist? Beautiful, fun and cozy :)

Exactly. I’d need neutral paint because I have art I want on the walls. The work in the kitchen in terms of space, flow and the island were great.
On another point, why wouldn’t you shovel the sidewalk?

i liked the bathroom. the kitchen..r stained countertops even durable? the living area is very mod 70s.

Bonjour! Please consider visiting the National recognized, designated Luna Park historic preservation district. Luna Park was an amusement site with amenities swimming pool and roller coaster 1900-1920. The facility suffered a fire and dissipated. The area sites was subdivided into 440 residential structures. Currently the Luna Park historic district is in disarray. Lacking resources, and guidance to maintain the existing structures. City officials have adopted a budget to demolish Luna Park preservation properties. The Charleston WV land bank list has obtained properties but does not allow to purchase properties. The properties listed on Land Bank are listed as unavailable to purchase.

IMHO, the black lights would have been better in the primary bedroom instead of the bathroom fro safety reasons.

Are the bright colors there to mask the damaged
parts, it's not unusual its an eye sore. Who ever buys it will have to put a lot of work in to normalize it.
Why normal? This is stunning as it is.
Very niche but interesting. I wouldn't say that anyone would want that bathtub shrine, though--even religious people would use a shrine as a place of respect, not to remind them of an old dorty bathtub.
