      Definitely Hemp Hearts! I use them everyday, & usually multiple times a day! I love chia seeds as well, I just find Hemp Hearts to be more versatile in various meals throughout the day :)

    The turmeric powder I use is from India and very bright yellow (not the dark color that I see in your video). Rolling the energy balls, that already contain turmeric, in turmeric powder at the end makes them quite bitter tasting. Do you use a different turmeric powder? Also can the cashews be replaced for something else? I'm allergic to peanut, cashew, almonds, pistachio etc (all nut types). Does Manitoba hemp hearts sell their products in The Netherlands?

    Wonderful video!!!! Is there a good alternative for the cashews? Would love to make these for the family but one of our son's has a severe nut allergy. Let me know. Thank you!!!!

      Hi! Thank you!! You could leave out the cashews & use rolled oats instead! I would do 1/2 cup of rolled oats in place of the 1/2 cup of cashews. If the batter appears too crumbly, add just 1 tablespoon of water and pulse together again to help the batter be more sticky :) It will turn out a little different but still delicious! :)

    No hemp hearts are not available where I am from but I can get hemp seeds. Can I grind or blend the hemp seeds to powder form and make these beautiful energy balls? Thank you for sharing and making the videos. Love it!!!

      Hemp hearts & hemp seeds are the same :) You will want to get shelled hemp seeds for this recipe :) Thank you for watching! xx

    I tried chopping dates in my food processor but they get stuck on the blade. They are so hard to chop. Any suggestions?

    • @HealthyGroceryGirl
      @HealthyGroceryGirl  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the dates are too dry or they are old they can be hard to pulse into a batter. I recommend soaking the pitted dates in water overnight then making the recipe! Soaking the dates will help them be soft & blend well :)

    Rolling in turmeric powder seems like a sure fire way to stain all your shirts yellow.

    • @HealthyGroceryGirl

      I recommend rolling them carefully and then washing your hands after :) Even then you may notice your fingers a little stained for a day or so. It's powerful and colorful! :)
