I'd assume why it's part if the design for not wanting the player bored of him and leaving, why stan trys to make as much entertainment as it can. The message really hurts home at the part where the doll is torn up, it's kinda like how souls that are trapped by some sort of reason or purpose they never fulfilled is completed, for the doll, as a theory that souls can be trapped in dolls, was looking for a freind and the player gives that to the doll, hench the happy laughter of children. The cherry on top is the whole concept and theme of loneliness and the fear of being alone which is manifested as stan. Good concept and I'd love to see the full game.

I love how Buddy Simulator made images out of spaces and symbols, you know like when they played Rock, Paper, Scissors! Making those hands out of symbols and spaces always impresses me. It impressed me a lot seeing in comment sections years ago. People had made images out of random symbols their computer could make to draw something in the comments. I thought that was super neat and I still don't know how people manage to do it.
