Okay, the sadness of Junior finding his mama to be gone, is completely broken for me when I saw Junior looking around like a Gmod character, and because of my severe lack of Gmod in recent months, it made me laugh my ass off.
We need more home invasion games. This is actually tense if you ignore Mama Rabbit's design. Most horror games wants you to explore and catch you off guard, but here your home is your domain. Unlike FNAF where you actively fight off invaders, this is like a tower defense where you lay down a strategy and watch how it fairs against the intruder. And the fact that you're looking after someone adds more to the tension because you're not simply running away from the enemy because the premise itself won't let you.
You're so very correct. Your home is your sanctuary, the only place in the world where you feel completely safe. Having that sense of security suddenly being stripped away is something that nobody wants, and that's what I think makes this game so scary. For a lot of people, home invasion isn't something they'll ever have to experience, but it very well can happen, and it's a frightening situation.

I was expecting a plot twist, showing us that the man in the window, is actually a human child who usually watches his pet rabbits, and plays with them.
Personally, my favorite Markiplier moment, (and I can't remember the video for the life of me, all I remember is that you work at one of those airport-esque parking lots) is "Somebody s*at in my fuse box!"
Honestly kinda amazing how they had a character with such large proportions be just like... entirely normal, she wasn't sexualized, or played for laughs, she was just a kind, hardworking single mother, who did her best to protect her kid, and thats really refreshing and good to see.
Yeah, her design caught me off guard, but she’s actually pretty smart for trying to outsmart the man in the window and protect her kid at the same time. And i like that, even if she was initially skeptical, she believed her kid and tried to prepare. A true icon.
Also nice to include a body type that is real, just uncommon. Sure, it's a rabbit, but I have known people with that build and this is probably the most accurate looking model I've seen. More games should just randomly include characters with real body types that carry themselves like real people do.
If you actually look at the other games this developer has made, the character models are... consistent and *interesting* to say the least as this one lol.
Edge of Sleep has been in my to-listen-to list for a while, and I'm really looking forward to getting to it! Mark definitely has more than enough skill to guarantee it's going to be a great project to get into!

I swear to G the neighborhood I grew up in had plenty of older moms like this. Genuinely the sweetest souls doing their absolute best for their children with hearts of gold, trapped in a food desert of American capitalism or with undiagnosed PCOS or similar. Or just overworked and over stressed caring for a household on their own. Some of the loveliest people I’ve ever met
this totally reminds me of those games he played like "Don't Escape"; you have to do certain things in a certain order in order for time to go by and the bad thing is unable to happen (in "Don't Escape", you're a man who will turn into a werewolf and you have to keep yourself from escaping and killing everyone. if you do it all and in the right order, you win).

The Woman From the Door is just your local real estate agent, but the scary part is that she's somehow even more stacked than Rabbit Mama. If she gets into your house, the sheer magnitude of her assets buckles the building's foundation and gives the entire lot a permanent lean, significantly decreasing property value.
One thing I find particularly interesting about this game is the living conditions of Mama Rabbit and her son, which strongly indicate that they are poor. Their house is very small and may even be an apartment, consisting of only three rooms, one of which triples as a living room, kitchen, and dining room. Their only food source appears to be a small refrigerator, and I guess whatever Mama Rabbit brings home from the bakery. A typical night's dinner is probably anything microwavable. They have no desks or drawers to set their lamps on, nor a stand for their primitive-looking television, which is probably Junior's only source of entertainment, because I didn't see any children's toys lying about. They have a built-in bathroom, but all they can bathe in is a washtub. (Not to bring any attention to Mama Rabbit's figure or anything, but overweight people sometimes use this instead of a regular bath because it's more accommodating for their size. It's possible that there WAS a bath in there at one point, but they had it removed and replaced with a washtub because it was too small, which probably cost them even more money.) The only bedroom in the house consists of a single bed that they most likely share. As Mama Rabbit walks into her house, she even comments on how late her hours are, leading me to believe she has to work overtime just so she can afford what little she has, including the ability to put her son through school.

Can we just talk about how great Mama Rabbit is as a protagonist? She's a strong independent woman who don't need no man and loves her youg child and doesn't mind the hard work that goes into raising him (even before the demon shows up). Once the threat presents itself she stays cool and confident. She never frightens her baby, but instructs him on what he needs to do without alarming him even though she is putting herself in danger. Mama Rabbit is queen! Though I worry about her blood sugar levels she is still boss!

Furry universe with furries and normal animals(Like Sly Cooper where there are furry characters and normal animals like pigs, rats that just roam about but aren't anthrophomorphic) 3. Furry universes where there are humans and furry characters(like in many animes) 4. Lastly, furry universes with furries, humans, and ordinary animals(Like in the Bad Guys, the main characters were furries, there were humans, but there were also regular animals like the guinea pigs that were controlled by Professor Marmalade).

Honestly kinda amazing how they had a character with such large proportions be just like... entirely normal, she wasn't sexualized, or played for laughs, she was just a kind, hardworking single mother, who did her best to protect her kid, and thats really refreshing and good to see.
Yeah, her design caught me off guard, but she’s actually pretty smart for trying to outsmart the man in the window and protect her kid at the same time. And i like that, even if she was initially skeptical, she believed her kid and tried to prepare. A true icon.

Also nice to include a body type that is real, just uncommon. Sure, it's a rabbit, but I have known people with that build and this is probably the most accurate looking model I've seen. More games should just randomly include characters with real body types that carry themselves like real people do.
For real, this was what I was thinking too. Kudos to the creator for using a realistic body type than just an uber-thin model for the hardworking mom.

One thing I find particularly interesting about this game is the living conditions of Mama Rabbit and her son, which strongly indicate that they are poor. Their house is very small and may even be an apartment, consisting of only three rooms, one of which triples as a living room, kitchen, and dining room. Their only food source appears to be a small refrigerator, and I guess whatever Mama Rabbit brings home from the bakery. A typical night's dinner is probably anything microwavable. They have no desks or drawers to set their lamps on, nor a stand for their primitive-looking television, which is probably Junior's only source of entertainment, because I didn't see any children's toys lying about. They have a built-in bathroom, but all they can bathe in is a washtub. (Not to bring any attention to Mama Rabbit's figure or anything, but overweight people sometimes use this instead of a regular bath because it's more accommodating for their size. It's possible that there WAS a bath in there at one point, but they had it removed and replaced with a washtub because it was too small, which probably cost them even more money.) The only bedroom in the house consists of a single bed that they most likely share. As Mama Rabbit walks into her house, she even comments on how late her hours are, leading me to believe she has to work overtime just so she can afford what little she has, including the ability to put her son through school.

Perhaps it's just what she's best at. My own personal theory is that she's been divorced, and that would explain why Junior's dad isn't present. Without her husband around to provide for them, Mama Rabbit had to land on her own feet and find work to keep a roof over her and Junior's heads.

Can we just talk about how great Mama Rabbit is as a protagonist? She's a strong independent woman who don't need no man and loves her youg child and doesn't mind the hard work that goes into raising him (even before the demon shows up). Once the threat presents itself she stays cool and confident. She never frightens her baby, but instructs him on what he needs to do without alarming him even though she is putting herself in danger. Mama Rabbit is queen! Though I worry about her blood sugar levels she is still boss!

2. Furry universe with furries and normal animals(Like Sly Cooper where there are furry characters and normal animals like pigs, rats that just roam about but aren't anthrophomorphic)
3. Furry universes where there are humans and furry characters(like in many animes)
4. Lastly, furry universes with furries, humans, and ordinary animals(Like in the Bad Guys, the main characters were furries, there were humans, but there were also regular animals like the guinea pigs that were controlled by Professor Marmalade).
