I have a Glenn's performance sumpt tank, I run it close to empty with no issues, I had to drop the tank to replace the sending unit seal so I ran the tank below empty no issues whatsoever, when I got home I drained the tank, only had about 1/2 gallon of fuel in it, still no issues coming home, Glenn's sump design is 2nd to none.
This pump definitely supports good power. Horsepower support all depends on what fuel, fuel pressure, and if forced induction or N/A. I just ran the numbers (fuel flow volume at 43psi) and found it was enough for this setup 👍
@@GeorgiaStangMan Your video is about the only one out there for Holleys 525lph pump. Everything else is Hellcat or another model. Thank you. Quick question. It's noted that the pump pulls 17 amps. What size gauge is the feed wires?
@@camaromustangmods3327 thanks. I’ll have to look again, but if I remember correctly, the pump wires are 14 or 16awg. The factory car harness is either 10 or 12awg (going off of memory). When it comes to wiring in general, I’ll say this… the the most amount of current (measured in amps) that can safely feed a given electrical load is dependent on the maximum current rating of the smallest wire size in the circuit.
Hey dude, thanks for the video, I installed mine incorrectly and it was not sitting in the basket so now I know how it should be correctly installed, I also had a 100micron filter post pump, I am curious which filter you used post pump 10 micron?
@Boosted363Hatch anytime brother. I used an Aeromotive 10 micron post filter. Same ones they recommend for the A1000 pumps they sell. Good luck with the build 👍
I also had an issue with fuel pressure drop on the dyno around 5700 rpm so we had to stop at 8psi, I have -8 feed and return, Y block, edelbrock fuel rails 80#injectors aeromotive regulator, and same Holley 12-347 pump as you, we pulled the filter yesterday and also dropped the tank and pulled the pump and realized the Holley writing was facing rear of the tank, so it definitely was not in the basket, and the sock was also pretty dirty. Brand new tank also from lmr
@@GeorgiaStangMan awesome thanks dude! Yeah she made 556whp and 554tq on 94 pump gas chevron. So I’m hoping to push a little more out of the pump and I think that 100micron filter and pump placement was the culprit! Thanks for your reply! Appreciate it
@@GeorgiaStangMan you had an issue going under half a tank? Mine usually is under a half and I don’t have a sender that works currently. I also have the sump in mine.
@@timweb1510 Ya, I’d only have an issue below half tank if I took a turn too fast, causing all the fuel to go to one side or the other depending on direction. Also if I hit the brakes a little too strong, fuel would run to the front.
It will with a BAP. I know opinions vary about BAP's but for reference I have this pump/pickup on a JMS booster and made 765rwhp on e85 without any pressure drop.

@@davidmondragon7616 A loose baffle is not good. The baffle keeps fuel surrounding the pump so it’s always submerged. If it’s loose, fuel can run away from the pump causing pressure drop. Definitely time for a new tank. Let me know how it goes.

What did you use for lines?Brand and size. And how has it been working out? Been looking for an update because Im ready to pull the trigger on this. Thanks
I used PTFE lines from a brand called XRP, and the line of hoses is ProPlus if I remember correctly. I absolutely love the XRP PTFE hose. I definitely recommend it. What power level are you shooting for?

@GeorgiaStangMan Yes I got the same fittings. I m talikg about the return tube that is in the tank. Its seem that it should just drop down inside not in the bucket on inside of tank
You run a check valve inn line for that issue at hand!! It works ! And holds fuel as it should on every start up

Oh I bet. I’m pretty sure they have some internal baffling to help. If I ever go to sump again, it’ll be a Glenn’s.
Another good video..
Well done!
Thank you!!
Seem like you have a built combo. Assume this support around 6-700HP supercharged no problem.

Nope, stock fuel level sender still works as normal. It’s in a different part of the tank.

Check out my latest video for more information, but in short, you’ll need a fuel pump controller for this pump on the street, from my experience.
