    Hey Ed, love your streams and videos. I don't normally comment on much, but you've been a great teacher on my cultivation journey. You have unknowingly until now provided me endless hours of myco help, information, and entertainment. Thanks for everything you do! Keep doing what you're doing, you help lots of people who rarely make comments like myself.

      Thank you very much. Comments like this really make it all worthwhile. It is so fulfilling to know that I can help anyone along in their journey.

    The live was great, and I want to say that it's totally shitty for anybody to come on to eds live and be rude or condescending, especially when it's his show. This man is an educated mycologist with a phd and deserves some respect given the fact he takes the time to try to help people learn things he had to pay to go to college for....... We should all be grateful considering all the gate keeping prior to him.

    I just woke up and clicked thinking * Word caught Ed as as soon as he started the stream today.* Started doing my thing while I listened along. Then I had a comment and realized the stream ended 3 hours ago.😂

    Seriously love all the knowledge you give to us for free to combat disinformation. I wanted to ask about pe blobs and when I should harvest. First time having blobs. Watched the video you posted but you never mentioned when it is time to harvest blobs

    • @edwardgrand
      @edwardgrand  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have only gotten PE blobs a couple times. I would harvest them when they have stopped getting bigger, but while they are still firm and no smell. The actual time is highly variable.

    QQQ HI Ed! Love your content. My question is, I had some rice water leftover and I popped it in the freezer to use at a later date for agar. If I thaw that rice water to use and then heat it up again, what have I done to the carbohydrate molecular structure? Chemistry was my least favorite subject, ha ha I much preferred micro. Thanks for your wisdom!

      Hi Julie, the short answer is yes it’ll work.
      The long answer….
      In the process heating and cooling of the starches, this creates a resistant starch(aka soluble fiber) in high amylose plants. When we eat these foods, our bodies really don’t digest these resistant starches. But it does feed the bacteria in our gut microbiome. So when we cook and cool our grains for mycology. We are creating these resistant starches in the process. Whether it’s the grain spawn or the LME in the agar. Im not sure if Ed gets a chance to go through the comments afterwards. I hope this answers your question.

      @@AMProdehl Sounds good. Yeah. It'll work fine. Probably no need to heat it up again until you PC it. I find it gets a lot clearer after freezing. Kind of nice if you're pouring plate with it. I just decant off the clear stuff and leave the chunks at the bottom.

      Could be an internet thing? I don't edit any of the comments unless I need to ban someone. Then it deletes all of them at once. But any other comments just show up as people type them. Or it could be 'The Man' watching us ;) LMFAO
