    Goodness, the plating opportunities for the first variety! Grilled stems stacked beautifully with the caps arranged on the sauce. Mixed into green beans for crazy effect. Those on a beef sandwich, greeting the guest peeking out the side... I guess I had to see them to think of that, the shape and colour makes a lot of difference above a certain level.

    Your videos have been extremely helpful to me as someone just getting started in Mycology. Your time and effort is much appreciated! I do have a quick question if you have time to answer. I can’t find soy hall pellets locally, but the hydroponic store down the street has soy meal powder that is made for plant nutrition. Do you think this could be used as a substitute for the hull pellets? If so, would you have any recommendations for usage rates? My usual mix is 4 pounds of hardwood pellets to 4 pounds of coco coir with 1/2 cup of gypsum and about a pound of vermiculite. Thanks!

    Put some rubber band or bands around the top 1/4 of the bag for top fruiting so the mycelium knows to grow upwards and you shouldn't have and and side pinning or growth. Using the rubber band effect is like the pressure the mycelium encounters in the wilderness from the pressure that naturally happens underneath the soil. It teiggers and tells the mycelium to grow upwards instead of everywhere hah so if you have a top producer mushroom then just give it a try and you shouldn't be pleasantly surprised 😉

    In german it is called a "Samtfuß" or "velvet foot", it's crazy how different it looks in the wild. I honestly like a little colour in my farm-grown Enoki, it's a sign they have healthy-for-humans pigments in them. In Berlin they come in orange with brown velvety feet.

    Great video! I'm having trouble getting my mushrooms to pin recently because i changed my grow room, how long should an oyster block take to pin? because i had my pulmonarius bags in the grow room for more than 2 weeks now, beside the temp(around 77f) that i can't really change, i thinking about upping the humidity but could my problem be to little ventilation? Does to much C02 prevent them from pinning? I don't have a CO2 meter but my other oyster mushrooms are pretty leggy.

    Cant you just grow all year long since you have control on temp. and humidity?

    • @zongzoogly4549
      @zongzoogly4549 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In order to save money on climate control in a large space like this you often allow the seasons to dictate the internal temperature and humidity a bit. It's sometimes not worth it to keep growing a particular product "out of season" because while it may be profitable the cost of the climate control can outweigh it.
