  • This is the final video of our tongue and groove accent wall project. Main focus of this part is to demonstrate how to get a snug edge with the ceiling and join the last pieces of wall together properly. I included a picture of the finished painted wall at the end of the video.

Best advice out of tons of videos I’ve watched. People show the easy part but that last panel trick is the winner. Thank you!!!!

Glad I found this video! great tips on finishing that last piece. I was able to make the cuts needed with my circular saw and adjusting the depth of cut. I had never done that before but it turned out great!

loved the video's thanks for taking the time to share. You're the only one who did the last board! And I really learned a lot watching all 4. Thanks! Now, i feel like i can actually do this properly!

Does it have to be brad nails? Can I use narrow staples?

Having the ear protection around your neck and then forgetting to put it on your ears during the actual cutting- I think we may be related :) I do the same thing with my safety glasses sometimes. Thanks for the video, getting ready to put an identical product up on our garage and there were some good tips in here. How did you do a level line across such a long wall in the first video?

How did you adjust the outlets to make up thickness of boards?

Easy thing I like using are outlet spacers. They are small plastic pieces that can be stacked as needed. You may have to grab some longer screws for your outlets too. Here is a link to what I'm talking about: amzn.to/2PbGZxL good luck and thanks for watching!

What’s the best nail to use? Length and gauge please

Is a framing gun too big to use? Would a 16 gauge nail be secure enough?

Why not start at the top and work down?
