What?
Its just takes me to the developer page...
OK I'm having trouble attaching the base pieces. Any advice?
I cant build pathway links to my multi capsule any ideas?
Playing right
The finished version is addictive as hell bruh
Me: I lived in my escape pod for five hours.
Jade: I didn't even repair my escape pod.
I've used my escape pod through most of the game. I wish you could deconstruct things in your fully operation pod or attach a base to it.
Yah was whike a go. Made a new improved starter tips guide check it out in the plylist
I lived 24 (in-game) days in the Escape Pod
Cursed Khien i lived 3 irl months in the escape pod beat that
Goddam I got some likes I didn't even know
Took me 4 hours I had like 9 floating chests and was so pissed because I couldn't do anything ahah
Bruh same
Gah, I hated dealing with the floating chest inventory management the most! Add the fact that nothing stacks just lead to 15 floating chest with all kinds of utter crap mixed about..............................until I finally started to understand what to do in the damn game and was finally able to start constructing bases
Same!🤣
Same here I had so many chest floating around my escape pod. I almost gave up but then I started to get the hang of it. It was to funny that I was just crafting all kinds of random bs. I was like I might need it later. Once I have my sea glide it was game on traveling fast everywhere. Lmao 😂 🤣😂😅👍🏻
Here I am living in my escape pod full time and can't find a good source of silver to save my life
Search the mini cave systems in the creepvine biome, you'll find sandstone outcroppings. Just dive a little deeper 60 to 100m to find sandstone outcrops provided you don't have the rebreather.
If you look in the area with red grass you can find sandstone easier
I don't know if this was in the game when you posted, but once you have a scanner room you can make a special microchip that equips to yourself, which you can set too look for the appropriate resource rock once you've found one.
What has really helped me is going to the reef backs and they have barnacles break those open and they give you a range of good metals
Bro same
Okay I’m sure no one will even see this comment or care. But I’m playing on PS4 & I’m sure it’s the same as Xbox1/Pc but I’ve lived in my pod for 9 hours now just collecting resources & exploring. And Well I know nothing about this game and I found out about the radiation at the Ship when it blew up so I crafted all the stuff needed to explore near it and so on... What I wasn’t expecting was how FLIPPIN DANGEROUS it is over there, Went around the corner near the back of the Aurora where it’s just dead with all the radiation trying to look for a way in.. Nah I shit myself when this Gigantic freaking Monster appeared out of no where! The thing roared so loud It prolly woke up my neighbor’s and I was screaming too tryna use my lil dinky Sea Glide to escape that thing! Thank gos I managed to get on one of those Sand Bars to calm down and go back to my lil pod. So All that said.. I will not venture out anymore, I will not go anywhere out of sight from my pod! So i’ll just continue living off bladder & peeper fish.
The ClickBait Detective that was a leviathan 😂 they are scary af
Rhuark K Very 😂
Hilarious, I remember my first run-in with the Reaper leviathan it scared the Bee-Jesus out of me. I also decided to never leave the safe shallows again. But eventually, I had to leave my wonderful pod and venture out into the depths. I wish I could go back and experience Subnautica for the first time again. It's one of my favorite games ever.
lmao i dint even care to read it
That my friend was a Reaper Leviathan!
You don’t need the air pump, just power
Also why are people throwing so much shade for this guys accent and playing on Xbox I mean he’s just trying to help people
Cheers mate this was while back been doing much more recent stuff too
Anonymity turns people into arseholes ya butt head. See!
I got a free trial on my xbox one for it and the controls were a little annoying for me
menders gaming you can change the controls, you can use the Xbox accessories app, or check in game
I have a nice pc that I built and have Subnautica, but still choose to play it on Xbox.
9:30
A word of note, that’s incorrect. The Rebreather doesn’t give you extra oxygen, it simply negates the doubled oxygen depletion rate when you dip below 100m.
You don't need to put down a base-attached air pump. You only need to power the base and the life systems will fill it with air. The base-attached air pump is if you want to use pipes and pipe the air somewhere.
Jeff W where else would u want to pump air? is it so you dont hav to use power?
you connect pipes to the air pump, that way if you go on deep dives you can get oxygen at the end of the pipe network instead of surfacing
@Hen Peckley so dont comment in the comment section
I know this is 3 years old and your not going to see it but I love your accent
Looks like he did see it!
@@calebg6587 right!
I know the video is old but just downloaded subnautica and been playing for 3 straight days before building a base because i didnt know how. You are a bloody legend 💯🤘🏻
For the ppl looking to just build it starts here: 10:08
Thank u
Np
Is it bad if the reaper followed me to my base
Umm yes
I would suggest throwing a lot of flares as far as possible from your base
Stupid me didnt even watch the explosion because I thought I would die of radiation sickness or some crap.
Same. I thought I was dead on that countdown lol.
same
The brain coral is the one everyone should be made aware of
Why
@@itslight._.1862 it gives you oxygen if you stand on top of it
@@shakesthemix3844 yup, figured that out the other day. It really helps when you're in a cave too and don't wanna leave to get oxygen from the surface
I've been hunting Bladderfish every time I would run out of water and just now after 4 days of playing I find out what Bleach is for, lol
The pipes are great for creating trails. Beacons have been great for farming spots/base locators.
Since pipes are cheap, I make a long trail of pipes for use. Early on, I made a long trail of them going into the Jellyshroom cave system. Add a beacon to the end where the air is coming out and I can follow the pipes to the exit. I got lost frequently down there and this helped me exit later on. Even after I got my Seamoth, I would sometimes die because I couldn't find the exit (ran out of water/food). The beacons are extremely helpful and the pipes just provide a simple trail to the exit.
Beacons are cheap, too, even if Copper can be painful to find. I use them mark known areas for aggressive leviathans, changing the color to red (for danger). They help me in finding my extra bases, too. In complex cave systems, beacons can be used to show you how to get out of the cave when you're running low on water. The beacons show up as an outline, like your escape pod and vehicles do.
Use beacons to mark important areas then rename the beacon, so you know its purpose. Many videos I've seen, people don't rename their beacons and that's been super helpful, for me.
I’ve been playing for 9 hours and don’t even have a seaglide. Wtf am I doing? Also a good metaphor for my actual life 😅
Josh i played for a week and didnt have a base yet
@@winterwin6971 if you pop over to the floating islands and pop right back, grab some metal scrap, you will have a base within hours of starting
I've been playing for 40 mins and have a seamoth
Simile
I played for DAYS and didn’t find a SINGLE sea glide fragment. I completed the cyclops blueprint and had just about every furniture recipe before I even found a single sea glide fragment.
the air pump is for use while diving, you connect pipes to it and it spits out air bubbles at the end of the pipe where you can refill on oxygen without returning to the surface
I almost fell asleep watching this, your voice is so soothing.
Only clicked for the base build tip at the end, but watched the whole video just in-case I had missed anything at my start. Playing this in VR for my first playthrough and it is incredible. Tad weird with the Oclus Touch controllers though.
Solid video sir! Subbed for more tips.
just started the game not knowing anything about it 2 hours in is when I make a knife
I usually just build couple tubes for storage and power cell charging :P You will have to build moonpool at some point for modifying prawnsuit and seamoth. After that my next base is Cyclops for most of the game, you can fit massive amounts of storage in lower level. Once you have plenty of materials and recipes you can comfortably build a real base.
Plant some melons in there and you got infinite food and water. Though you should have some extra non-perishable food and water as a backup when your out and about.
My first real base was in lost river quite late game because its the best place for mining resources and I had to upgrade my prawnsuit to go deeper.
Also, you should make habit of keeping and collecting seeds/samples and couple uncooked reginals (Best food, though I keep 2 of each fish for collection purposes). That way you can set up your base anywhere and you won't need to go collecting for resources.
Dang, I spent like 2 hours because I built the foundation and realized I didn't have the multipurpose room.
Base building tips start at 9:55 :)
Thanks bro
Thanks
2:10 that transition tho
Interesting to see on XB1 for a change. I see there's some fun glitches with the engine. Tip for beginners: Look down from above at the area you intend to search. You will be able to see almost everything that is there while still being close to the surface and being much farther away from potential dangers. Also, it can be tough to find stuff when it's right in your face. I would always swim right past important fragments only to find them later and wonder how I missed them. :)
Great explanation. Much better than all of the other tutorial videos i have watched.
Meanwhile: Me in my escape pod "Don't mine at night, I know your looking at that cave and your feeling kinda brave!"
Not sure if someone said this, but for building a base you only need power for the base to produce oxygen, the air pump is for outside the base
I love how dude says water. "Waugh-AHH" lol 10/10
Who gives a fuck saddos

Same. Finding silver ore is a pain.
just search in the kelp forests

What I like about a video is being called a rat bag in the first 30 seconds
I played this game for the first time yesterday and I have no idea what I´m doing. I was swimming 1500m away towards some destress calls from other damaged pods within an hour. After this video I´m going to start over and just follow your instructions. Thanks for the video :)
Che k my my newer recent guides much better
@@Jade-PG Will do. Thx!
I've owned the game for nearly a year and sadly didn't know how essential building as base was till recently, so yeah. I've just been living in my lifepod this whole time. Thank you for the tutorial man.
tess wait seriously?
@@punctuationman334 Yup, I am a fool. And I got it for free so since the game never told me that I had to build a base, I never did.
tess damn that’s a feels bad man moment. Can’t blame you though if you didn’t know much about base building.
@@punctuationman334 I got a base now though, so all's well that ends well. :)
tess just got the game off of game pass and got a base going already. Pretty good game but damn I hate going into reaper territory. It’s fucking terrifying.
Another thing: you can recharge batteries without a charger. If you have titanium and a flat battery, you can make a scanner, and the game doesnt pick up what charge the battery was when u made the scanner, and then unload the battery in the scanner and it will be full. I hope i helped u.
Shadowflame Bourne doesn’t work
Juicearth999 it was probably fixed
@@juicearth999 it stil works i always use empty batterys to use in recipes
@@loony1774 that was a year ago
@@juicearth999 yes and it still works
Just started playing this game and I'm really enjoying it. Great video Ratbag!
Me too. Only have 26hrs in game time. This game is scary af in some places.
I got it for free on Epic Games store and im already half way trough the game but didn't build a base yet. This turtorial really helped me, and taught me some stuff I didn't know. Thanks !
Best guide I've seen for subnautica in yt
this is a damn good starter video, may very well be your best yet. I played a little of this on pc, but wanted them to fix bugs. I'm gonna play this for sure. good job dude!
I bought this a couple years ago and I was waiting for them to fix bugs too. Started playing again last week and it was well worth the wait!
Absolutely loved this game, super excited it launched!
I learned more in this short video than I did watching people play thanks
Dude! Thank you! I had that damn habit gun and didn't even know what it was for. I was living in my pod getting bored but now! Thank you once again for the tips!
3:46 well thats me told lol ""go ahead and do one"
Thanks for the 101! Just picking up this game now so looking forward to your gameplay tips and tricks 🙂
I'm 12 hours in and I've only used bladderfish for water. The only place I've found so far for the air pipe system is that "pond" area on the floating island.
Loved it can't wait for it to come to ps4
corey sadoski it's gonna be a while

Came across this because Playstation has it for free. I appreciate the help. This California bud had me stuck.
Similar to no man's sky heres a stoner pro tip.....remember to SAVE!
Thank you this helps a lot I was really low on hunger and I just was hanging out in my pod
Thank u for this because I’m about to get the game soon and this really helps
Could u maybe do a video tutorial for Xbox just askin because that’s what I’m gettin for my Xbox
Im already on xbox also props to u for bieng a xbox player u earned subscriber
thanks man ..... big help . cuz i didnt know htf can u start building ................... so thank u very much again👍
I made the mistake of making Titanium Ingots early thinking "they take up less space"... but you cannot split it BACK into the 10 titanium resources later.
MrShadowpanther3 I did this. So much pain 😂
Can’t wait for ps4 release I really want to play this game
Blackbaron is it coming to ps4? I kind of gave up hope of it ever arriving. I am excited once more, thank you.
Blackbaron well it's released now!
Blackbaron I have it it’s awesome
Two years later, did you beat the game yet?
Really helpful and so many thing here that I'd missed when I started
This video helped me SOO MUCH. I’ve been playing for a while not even knowing that you needed the habitat thing to build 😂 also I really love your accent where are you from lol
Nice video Jade im thanking about getting this today it looks like a good game.
Something i wish i had done earlier in game is as soon i you get a seamoth, seaglide, and radiation suit collect the the cyclops engine fragments from the auroara cuz its the scariest shit ive had to do yet and i cant stress that enough and thank god the cyclops is worth it a moving base. Its best to go there in the day and stick to the ground so reapers stay away
Nice starter tutorial. I missed loads at the start. But I also enjoyed learning better ways to do things so I don't mind that.
I wish I had realised how easy water was to make with salt and coral at the start but then again I had fun hunting bladder fish so maybe not lol
It's a fantastic game and I am really enjoying it.
Thanks that totally helped me build my own base!!!
Mate you’re a legend. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
I got the habitatbuilder in like 10 - 15 minutes in game. plus the airpump for the base doesn't bring oxygen in the base but transports oxygen via a pipeline, the base pump only generates oxygen via a pipeline if its powered. Also to get oxygen in a base the only thing you need is a powersource.
Thank you so much for making this video, it helped me so much.
THANK YOU! I didn't know about the scanner!
Thanks a lot for this, i am only starting to play pc and i got subnautcia for it as it was free on epic games launcher and i had seen a few of my favourite youtubers play it and i love it so much. This really helps a lot
Love the video. Am a beginner and was unclear about building but ur vid helped.
I planned to do freedom mode but I acadently clicked survival. I was going to go back and do freedom but then I decided to try survival and i am doing very well.
Thanks for the tips. Really helpful to me in my exploration in the game. THANK YOU
No problem!
Just a tip: observatories count as separate biomes so it will stop anything from chasing you
Like the base attachment observatory?
@@finohangouts228 yes

POP YOUR TIPS HERE TOO IN CASE I MISS ANY
you can eat raw bladder fish to get oxygen
You can build a tube above water and don’t need power to get o2. Just used it for storage and use pod to fabricate sum stuff
This is so good you are the best thank you so much
You may have posted this a while ago but I just got the game and this helped
I thought I needed the multipurpose room to start building, didn't know you could just use the tubes you start with.
Really great video really help me out my first time playing thx
I’ve been having so much trouble finding materials for the habitat builder!!
The diamond is rough che k my playlisylt done more recent guides including how to find respurces
It's amazing the misconceptions people have about this game.
Just got this game for free on Epic... CAN'T STOP PLAYING IT
Only one answer -
PIRATED!!!
@robbie Carroll It's because it was offered for FREE on Epic. Not a trial, ut the full version you just had to get it on their platform.
Thanks for teaching me how to make a great base
Great video! Earned a sub and a like!
Finally a proper starting guide
Play through with games that are on console and computer are always pretty similar, but surprisingly Subnautica is a fairy easy game to run. You don’t need some buffed out 1000 computer, you can run it on a decent computer with decent graphics. But people usually play games like this on PC specifically for the looks.
Small tip: I found that collecting metal salvage in creepiness forests is faster that breaking limestone outcrops and only getting 1
i just discovered that i was using my resources the wrong way thinking that i should craft this and that and than ill find it ready later -_-
thank you very much for the tips
Tysm this helped a lot
